Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The best game of the trilogy
A fantastic remake of a classic survival horror game that unfortunately does not quite reach the same heights for me as some of the other entries in the series. The story is fairly weak, but it does enough to keep you engaged and moving forward. Where Resident Evil 2 really shines, however, is in its atmosphere, sound design, and presentation. The Raccoon City Police Department feels genuinely oppressive, and the constant sounds of footsteps, distant noises, and something moving just out of sight do an incredible job of keeping you on edge. Story & Writing - 6/10 The story is probably the weakest part of the experience for me. It is entertaining enough to keep you playing, and the characters are enjoyable, but I never found myself particularly invested in the overall narrative. The classic Resident Evil campiness is still present, which can be fun, but the writing does not stand out compared to some of the stronger games in the franchise. Atmosphere & Sound Design - 10/10 This is where Resident Evil 2 absolutely excels. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the sound design deserves special praise. Every creaking door, distant footstep, monster noise, and subtle environmental sound helps create an incredible sense of tension. The Raccoon City Police Department is especially effective. Exploring dark hallways while hearing something moving somewhere nearby can be genuinely unsettling. The game understands that sometimes what you hear is more frightening than what you actually see. Gameplay & Mechanics - 8/10 The survival horror gameplay is solid and satisfying. Resource management, exploration, puzzles, and combat work together well, forcing you to think about whether you actually want to waste ammunition or simply run past an enemy. I learned this the hard way as I almost ran out of ammo during my first run of the game as Leon. The game also does a great job of making enemies feel threatening without making every encounter a straight-up fight, hearing Mr. X's footsteps slowly come closer put genuine fright into me. Visuals & Art Direction - 9/10 The RE Engine does a fantastic job bringing Raccoon City and its inhabitants to life. Environments are detailed, dark, and appropriately grimy, while the character models and creature designs look excellent. The zombies in particular are disgusting in exactly the right way. Their damaged bodies visibly react to gunfire, making combat feel much more physical and brutal. Replayability & Content - 7/10 There is a decent amount of content between the different character campaigns, difficulties, collectibles, and alternate scenarios. However, once you have experienced the main story and know the layout of the environments, some of the tension naturally disappears. The game is still worth replaying (especially the 2nd run mode) if you enjoy survival horror, but I would not consider it endlessly replayable. Conclusion Resident Evil 2 (2019) is an excellent survival horror remake that gets its atmosphere and sound design almost perfectly right. The story is fairly weak and does not leave much of an impression, but the actual experience of exploring dark hallways, conserving resources, solving puzzles, and listening for whatever is lurking around the next corner is fantastic. It is absolutely worth playing if you enjoy survival horror. The atmosphere alone carries a huge part of the experience. Final Score: 73/100
