Before the mansion, before the destruction of Raccoon City, there was Resident Evil 0. Now remastered with improved visuals and sounds, as well as the all-new Wesker Mode, there's never been a better time to experience the origins of the Resident Evil story.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is my favorite classic Resident Evil with tank controls, but I only recommend it to very experienced players. By design, it's possible to run out of ammo and get stuck at certain points in the game. Fortunately, if that happens, you can use the "Restart" option from the save menu and begin again from the start. I've always disliked Item Boxes, so the ability to leave items on the ground helps a lot, as long as you know what you're doing. If it's your first time exploring the game, however, you'll probably find the inventory limitations frustrating. As for people complaining that Eliminators and Hunters are too difficult, just use Acid Rounds. Mimicry Marcus is weak to Fire Rounds, but those are too valuable to waste on them. A useful tip: Billy is much better with firearms than Rebecca and fires them faster. This is especially noticeable with handguns and magnums. Rebecca, on the other hand, can use Molotov Cocktails and fires shotguns faster than Billy. Rebecca works best as support and a portable item carrier, while Billy is the tank. The game is also fairly short, but very enjoyable if you're looking for a quick Resident Evil playthrough. However, it will punish players who don't understand its mechanics and systems. This is the misunderstood black sheep from the franchise but still an excellent game.

Staring strong Resident Evil 0 initally plays much like the first entry before diverging in ways that are generally worse. The main thing about 0 is that you play as two characters simultaneously switching whenever you want bar a few sections you must play as one of the two. Rebecca, a STARS member reprising her role from the first entry, and Billy a convict who has escaped. It’s an intersting premise that could work in theory, but in execution it’s a bit cumbersome. I mainly just had them follow me the entire time and switching and navigating them around eachother could be annoying. While there are some creative uses with the idea for puzzles or separate sections the overall result is disjointed. Other aspects of the gameplay also present problems, here there is no item box, instead you are able to drop items wherever and whenever you want. Again a neat idea in theory but this leads to a running items between areas which is tedious also the fixed camera angle and tank controls mean that picking up the specific item you want (if you put items next to each other) can be difficult to do. It’s not hte biggest deal but it builds on other issues. Several of the new enemies you encounter are a pain to deal with, while the auto-aiming is present here it sstruggles to work against enemies at different elevations(especially those monkeys) making it a struggle to get to work. This is also present in some of the bosses you fight to a point that the best strategy for beating one is to just spam it the second it spawns, ending the “fight” in seconds. While there are several levels it starts off stong with a level on a train, this presents a unique enviorenment to fight in as there is very limited space and atmospherically it is strong. This shifts to another mansion which is a much weaker and lengthy section that kills the pacing. Despite all of this the worst aspect is actually the story. Taking place just a day before the events of the first entry it follows the lead up to the mansion incident. The introduction of Queen Leech, an opera singing man that controls leeches presents a drastically different tone and becomes a bit too absurd for me to enjoy. ) has a desire to connect to other entries which overall make the story weaker as it features heavy references to the first entry and even some references to 2. Pacing is the biggest offender of the story as there are frequent cutscenes that will take you out of the story. These cutscens will often feature information your character doesn’t have completely breaking the immersion and failing to keep the story compelling or mysterious. A disappointing entry in the franchise and one I’m glad to have behind me, some good ideas that are executed poorly.
★★☆☆☆
