Rising storm 2 has a place in my heart but sadly the game stopped working and ended in a horrible way. So I had to play this old gem.
A fun older multiplayer FPS! Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is a well developed online First Person Shooter set entirely during the Battle of Stalingrad of 1942. All maps within the title are districts of the city, and every match contributes to the capture of the metropolis; quite an interesting merge to have an asymmetrical campaign like this. The gunplay itself is neither too casual nor too realistic, a balance thay allows players to enjoy the title however they desire with an extra bit of caution. Red Orchestra 2 is a game I very much enjoyed and would recommend!
spent my entire time getting spawn camped, the gunplay is just not fun, they dont feel satisfying, they dont sound good, who tf knows how tank gameplay is, never ever get to see the things. it was 2.99, i honestly would rather just have the 2.99 back, completely different time periods but rising storm 2 vietnam is just better in everyway, the only reason i got this game was that it was ww2, and it was just ass.
Can't pass grain elevators in real life without shuddering, 10/10
This game taught other developers how to create realistic gameplay and is the true foundation of all realistic war games. It's a masterpiece that even after all these years is still playable, and you won't notice its age because of its high quality and detail. Now, let's talk about the realistic gameplay: the movement and maneuvering. You'll feel like a real soldier on the battlefield. You'll feel the sensation of the rifle as you fire. This is in addition to the way you run with the rifle; the soldier will hold the rifle in one hand and run. While this doesn't significantly affect the gameplay, it leaves a big impact on realism. Another great feature is that if you kill an enemy, you'll get XP or a small indicator in the upper right corner to show you. This is a nice touch because some realistic games have become so inconsistent that you can't tell if you've killed an opponent or not. This game is one of the best that depicts World War II, and I highly recommend it. However, there's one problem: the limited number of players. You'll find one or two servers that are full at most.
Very fun ww2 mil-sim (at least I think its a mil sim). Hard to get the hang of at first but it is very fun and I rarely get mad when I die or even lose. Runs great, even on a laptop, only a little laggy if you choose to run ultra high graphics.
