Railroads Online

Opened a menu whilst another one was open, it crashed the game. Still an unfinished game even though it's fully released.

This is the perfect game for me. I love it. I play in easy and single player modes. However, I'm QUITE TROUBLE BY REPEATED CRASHES upon loading from a save. I have done a lot of trial and error to how I do the periodic saves and how that process relates to the crashes. I would very much like to have a DEVELOPER contact me so we can get to the bottom of this. I have recorded a lot of observation about the crashing. I have programmed and know that there could be a fix. I've spent many hours trying to solve it myself just with how I see the game works sometimes and how it crashes sometimes. The crashes have caused me at least 10 hours to rebuild railways - sometimes the same layout in one are three times! Its quite a shame to have these kinds of problems on a game that is so perfect for me in how it is intended to work [u]If it didn't crash so often, I would highly recommend it.[u]

i love this game def would recomend ive been playing since 2023 free weekend and absolutley loved the game, this has been a life saver and has taught me a lot about trains and how frustrating thinking is. :)

Overall, Railroads Online is very pleasing to the eye, and the user interfaces have seen considerable improvements since the Early Access phase. The meticulously detailed landscapes and trains greatly enhance the immersive experience. I spent a long time playing the multiplayer mode as host, and that’s where I actually had fun—no rubberbanding occurs when you’re hosting. However, as soon as I played in any other role, the game turned into a slog: the catastrophic rubberbanding effect caused constant position jumps that plagued me through countless hours until I finally gave up. Conclusion: Railroads Online impresses with its stylish visuals and polished interfaces. However, anyone hoping for stable online matches in every role will be disappointed—significant fixes are urgently needed. For single-player enthusiasts and hosts in multiplayer, though, the game remains recommendable thanks to its aesthetics and engaging strategic gameplay. Deutsch: Es fiel mir zunächst schwer zu entscheiden, ob ich Railroads Online positiv oder negativ bewerten sollte. Letztlich neige ich aber zu einer positiven Einschätzung – das bedeutet jedoch keineswegs, dass das Spiel perfekt ist! Grundsätzlich kann man festhalten, dass Railroads Online optisch sehr ansprechend gestaltet ist und die Benutzeroberflächen seit der Early-Access-Phase spürbar verbessert wurden. Die liebevoll modellierten Landschaften und Züge tragen erheblich zur atmosphärischen Spielerfahrung bei. Den Mehrspieler-Modus habe ich über längere Zeit als Host gespielt und hatte gerade dort großen Spaß, denn als Host tritt kein Rubberbanding auf. Sobald ich jedoch nicht mehr als Host unterwegs war, wurde das Spiel zum Geduldsspiel: Die ständigen Positionssprünge aufgrund des katastrophalen Rubberbanding-Effekts haben mich durch etliche Spielstunden gequält, bis ich schließlich aufgab. Fazit: Railroads Online überzeugt mit seinem schicken Design und den überarbeiteten Oberflächen. Wer jedoch stabile Online-Partien in jeder Rolle erwartet, wird enttäuscht – hier besteht dringend Nachbesserungsbedarf. Für Einzelspieler-Fans und Gastgeber im Multiplayer-Modus bleibt das Spiel aufgrund seiner Optik und des strategischen Aufbaureizes aber dennoch empfehlenswert.
