I want to like this game, but I feel like the way they present it is misleading. Yes, you ccan design your own railroad, but the way you do that feels incomplete and much to be desired in terms of the mechanics required that you perform this action at all. I shouldn't have to think to hard about how to connect tracks, they should just connect when it shows a link, not be met with an error of placement. The way you place tracks even is a singular item, which could be improved. You could just slide the track instead of having to press a button. You could hold and drag in order to place a track in a desired area. You could have tracks align properly via a guidance system, not make turning buildings and tracks confusing by having you have to use the number pad in order to turn certain items. Switches could be better placed in alignment by allowing the merging of tracks instead of the switch having to be manually placed. The tutorial shouldn't be this extra thing you have to go to, it should be something embedded in the beginning of the game that explains everything, then gives you key binds possible to look up information. What do you get though? You get this weird separate experience where the game guides you, but you have to actually click tutorial instead of it being part of the main base part of the game. They don't even give you a direct goal. I had to randomly press buttons in order to discover that H is the button for information THEN you're met with something of what seems like a goal. This however doesn't redeem the improper handling of what should of been a smooth experience though! Like, this game is out of early access but so many features and things remain in this weird clunky state? This seems weird to me, as if they had planned for more but just chose to give up instead. Is there any plans to improve this gameplay? Because right now, it feels unfinished, and your goal seems very unclear. It doesn't feel like I'm trying to build my own railroad, it feels like I'm trying to navigate poorly designed plans in order to get to the point of building my railroad. In my opinion, this game could of used more early access time, because as of right now it still feels like it's early access. With clunky features and mechanics that felt planned, but were executed in such a way that seemed inappropriate for the amount of other train games and simulators I've played. This game could have so much potential, but they chose to leave early access without fixing some of these issues. Instead, they left the clunkiness alone and decided it was good enough to release in a full release, which makes no sense given my experience with early access games. Do the devs care about their game at all? Or were they just pressured at some point by someone or a group of people? Because to me, it feels like the latter. Pressure applied to the point of pushing out a full release, but lacking truely planned out mechanics that could be better not just at their core, but in practice. I just don't understand this choice and why anyone thought it would be a good idea to release this as a full game, because to me it doesn't feel like a full game at all. Sure you have progression and such, but the features you have to play with to even go through that progression could be so much better. All this being said, I'd be willing to give this another look in the future, but not until some serious overhauls happen. I can't believe that this is even going for $34 dollars at a base price when it feels so incomplete. It's so inappropriate and sketchy that I honestly question the intentions they had behind choosing a price like that. This can be better, you can do better than this, and if you want me to enjoy my time, actually make the tutorial enjoyable, actually make me feel like I have a goal and an overarching reason to play this game. I wanted to love this game because I love trains, but I just can't and I think that's a missed opportunity and a true shame. So, all in all, pass it up, don't buy it, because what you're getting is pretty graphics with barely fleshed out gameplay in my opinion.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

In short: As still an early access game my review would be positive but as a full release version this game is more than lacking. No steam simulation, glitchy and incorrect physics, no passanger service, only one size of switch but a day one dlc. Promissed features und broken mechanics get left behind in favour of grabbing our and console players cash. I will change my review if the game changes for the better but at this point I only can congratulate you. You guys deserve every negative review you get. Update: Development has stopped. Don´t buy!
Janky but fun. The track laying is the most enjoyable part. Running the trains is pretty basic and not realistic.
fun but deeply flawed
DON'T BUY THE GAME, the 2-6-6-2 is broken and game still is not been patched to fix the problems with it. Theres bunch of other problems as well starting with peformance problems as you get more rolling stock
