Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 14 → 4.33/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Cinematic spin on the turn-based genre – Predict enemy movements, orchestrate precisely timed countermeasures, and hit “execute” to watch the physics-based action unfold in real time.
Extensive customization – Featuring a rich customization system, Phantom Brigade enables you to fine-tune the performance of your mechs, install a wide selection of equipment, and access a wealth of cosmetic options. Prepare your squad for any challenge - in style.
An expansive arsenal – Railguns, beam weapons, missiles, energy swords, and more! Rain destruction down upon your homeland’s invaders with weaponry salvaged from each enemy mech you defeat.
Strategic tactical combat – Make high-level tactical decisions on the world map, manage your mobile base, and decide how to apply your limited resources. Take command of your squad in varied missions ranging from sabotage of enemy equipment and convoy ambushes to liberation battles and challenging outpost onslaughts.
Destructible environments – It's not a proper game about giant mechs without destructible buildings! Phantom Brigade allows every square meter of each battle map to be destroyed. Shatter your enemy’s cover and collapse buildings on top of them!

Fun game, starts off simple but becomes really exciting as you progress
I never played 1.0, 2.0 seems great except for how few things work, like calculating non guided artillery is way too much work, with too little reward, except for when the computer uses it against you, same with rail guns ( which will one shot your pilots but the computer controlled units almost never take full pilot damage from the same weapon). I found the thing that overwhelmed me the most, was the amount information thrown at you, it was almost too much information for me to handle all at once. anyway, i've had a great time. I wish there were more boss types to fight.

Never played a game like this before and I enjoyed every second of it. It scratches the strategy itch while giving you a high from near misses from enemies and the like. It is just fun.
What people say about this game are true The turn based ability to see what your enemies will be doing makes each combat feel like a game of chess The weapons and mechs are fun to see blow up and level the map (sometimes literally) I do wish there were more mission types and weapon varity at times. I tended to lean towards the same loadouts throught my entire time with the campaign It is nice that they gave extra missions after the main boss battle at the end to keep the fun going.
The music and sound effects are bad which is completely immersion breaking. Go play Front mission or Mech Warrior from almost 30 years ago and compare to this. It just doesn't feel good or fun to play. There's lots of dialog and no voice acting and the text boxes still aren't big enough for the TV. The game just throws you in with no story cinema or good introduction. I simply don't like the combat, the UI, and the elements of the game borrowed from Mech Warrior. Make it turn based on a grid please. No need to reinvent the wheel. The combat system just makes the game feel janky and targeting structures is annoying with controller (though I will give them props for adding controller support). The whole game just feels so cheap and lifeless.
I would give this game a hell yes. I would put this in my top 10 as simply fun to play. I really enjoy these plan and execute games. This one is slightly different than most as it will give detailed info on the enemy's upcoming actions. It is fun being able to use one mech to distract and have the other jump up on a building and shoot the enemy in the back. Or have a sniper in the back spamming heat block cooling to be able to put down a volume of fire. Or another is to have a heavy mech with a shield and bash enemy mechs into buildings to make them take front and back damage. Heck, with certain equipment you can use your thruster to bust straight through a building to flank an enemy. There are pilot perks, different kinds of weapons that can have mods slotted on them, choice of reactors and different types of available slots for different manufacture and part types. Basically you can build your mech out however you like. I came back to the game because even years after the release they created a 2.0 version which changed quite a bit about the game. One thing that most of the community has asked for is a full battle replay. And they delivered! It must be enabled in the experimental settings on the main menu. It is amazing to finally be able to see the full battle from start to finish. It is fantastic. I backed the original EGS exclusive from way back in the day, so I have 150 hours more than my playtime on Steam. The reason why I have both Steam and EGS versions is that I wanted to make some Workshop mods, and it was a good way to support the devs for making 2.0. Would recommend =)
7/10
Music and Story are alright, they serve their role in the bigger picture and aren't too intrusive. Customisation is also nice, both visually and gameplay-wise. I just wish there was some more options in terms of weapon mods, 2 slots would already open up more build-paths. Furthermore, having to scrap 3 of each mech part to unlock it for crafting is fine. But having to do it for each rarity of that part is tedious and not fun. Why not have scrapping give "research points" that increase depending on rarity of the scrap. Different rarities could then be unlocked at certain thresholds of research points for that mech part. The game also gets a bit repetitive after a while. Once you complete 2-3 provinces after the tutorial area, you've seen just about everything (except for unique story missions). It's not bad, but there could certainly be more fun gameplay conceits and twists. Final gripe is very subjective; I prefer my mech media with some heft. I need the metal to groan and clank, the ballistic weapons should sound like the small artillery they are. As it stands, light and heavy mechs almost sound the same, while the standard guns are barely distinguishable from energy weapons, audio and visual wise. Still a good game if you like squad strategy and mechs. I was nitpicking hard to find something truly negative to say about this game. Buy it and support the devs!
Thew combat system is fun, the mech customization and loadout fiddling is also good. Story is light but you are really playing this for the combat anyway.
