Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.25/day in the week to Aug 3 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Pathologic 3 is a psychological horror game where you have only 12 days to save a town from a mysterious plague.
You are Daniil Dankovsky: physician, researcher, prodigy. Your research into the nature of death has brought you to this remote town deep in the eastern steppe, looking for a man said to be immortal.
But the outbreak of a deadly contagion sweeps through the town. The immortal man is dead. You failed to stop it.
Now you must return to the beginning. Fix your mistakes. Save the town.
Every minute counts. Save them all, discover the secrets of immortality... don't go mad in the process.
Bring your medical training to bear. Observation and knowledge are your tools. Work with patients face-to-face.
Examine the sick and make diagnoses. Each patient is a unique story — and a medical mystery. They may lie, omit the truth, or hide their motives. You must separate fact from fiction, and identify the real symptoms. Step by step, you'll get closer to developing a vaccine that could change everything.
Fight for every new day. Ensure the town's survival by imposing your own rules: enforce quarantines, confiscate precious medicine, vaccinate the population, suppress riots, deploy patrols, and declare curfews.
You will make mistakes, face their consequences, and unlock new decrees. Your actions will shape the town—even if the people grow to hate you for it. Power is in your hands. It's up to you whether the streets will see gunfire or fireworks.
Made a mistake? Go back, and fix it.
Time is your tool for navigating a narrative web filled with moral dilemmas and branching paths. Rewind if you think you could have done better. Keep your eye on your ultimate goal—even if the road there is paved with sacrifices.
How far will you go to find the truth? Your mental state directly affects your actions, and even how you interpret events. Falling into apathy or wandering into mania may lead you to new insights... or to your death.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox, GOG publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Pathologic 3 answered many questions about the world, but left me wanting answers about the people. (Spoilers!) As a huge fan of the Pathologic series, I went into Pathologic 3 incredibly excited. And honestly, I still love a lot about this game. It does something I really appreciate about the series: it fills in lore gaps and gives us more context for characters and events that previously had to remain ambiguous. The expanded lore surrounding Simon Kain in particular is fascinating, and seeing previously established characters receive more attention is something I was genuinely happy about. However, by the time I finished the game, I couldn't help but feel heavily underwhelmed by the way the story ultimately handles its characters and their relationships. The story is heavily focused on metaphysics, mortality, immortality, Simon Kain, and the larger philosophical questions surrounding Gorkhon. And that's not inherently a bad thing—in fact, it's one of the things I love about Pathologic. But I often felt that the philosophical side came at the expense of the actual characters living through it. We get so much more information about the world, yet I'm still left wondering about some of the most basic human questions: What happened to these relationships? What did these people actually mean to Daniil after everything they went through? What kind of life does Daniil even have after all of this? This is especially noticeable with Artemy. Daniil and Burakh have such an interesting history across the series, and Pathologic 3 gives them plenty of moments that establish trust and mutual importance. Yet when everything is over, I was left wondering what any of that actually means for their lives afterward. I simply wanted some acknowledgement that these two people went through hell together and that their connection matters beyond the immediate plot. The same problem applies more broadly to Daniil's relationships with other characters, including Clara, who I felt was particularly underexplored. There is so much potential in her character and her history, yet she often feels more like a vehicle for the game's philosophical ideas—someone who is strange or benevolent or sinister depending on which aspect of her is being explored—rather than someone whose relationships and personal development get to exist independently of the metaphysics surrounding her. Eva Yan and Yakov are probably the relationships that felt the most naturally human to me, which makes it somewhat ironic that they're also characters whose stories are already defined by their deaths.Even Serafima and Platon, and Daniil's connection to Thanatica, feel like examples of this. I appreciated that the game actually acknowledges these relationships and gives them some presence within Daniil's story, but by the end I couldn't help feeling that much of that significance ultimately went nowhere. The game tells us that these people and connections matter, but doesn't really give us a sense of what they mean for Daniil once the immediate events are over. They become another piece of his journey rather than something that seems to shape the life he goes on to live. And that's what I find frustrating: the game is very good at telling me that Daniil has connections with people, but much less interested in showing me what those connections actually leave behind. There are moments throughout the game where Daniil genuinely feels like a person forming connections with other people, and I wish the game had followed that thread further. Because after three games giving us so much of Daniil's perspective, I still feel like we know surprisingly little about Daniil's actual life. Artemy gets something resembling a home. He has Gorkhon, the Kin, the menkhu tradition, his father's legacy, people who depend on him, and eventually a sense of belonging and purpose. His story can ultimately become about accepting a place in the world and choosing to live within it. Daniil, meanwhile, seems perpetually destined to move on to the next mystery. Another medical problem. Another impossible phenomenon. Another question about death. Another attempt to understand something that perhaps cannot be understood. I don't necessarily want Daniil to suddenly become a happy, well-adjusted person. That wouldn't even feel like him. But after spending so much time with this character, I desperately wanted to see some kind of normalcy in one of his endings. I don't need a conventional happy ending. I don't need every character to survive, everyone to reconcile, or Daniil to find some perfect answer to mortality. I just wanted the relationships established throughout the game to have consequences. Something as simple as “this person changed me,” or even just a clear indication of what Daniil intends to do with his life afterward would have meant a lot to me. Instead, I finished the game with more answers about Simon Kain and immortality than ever before, while somehow still having the same question I've had about Daniil for years: What does this man actually do when the apocalypse is over? And that's what makes my feelings about Pathologic 3 so complicated. I genuinely love this series. I'm grateful that this game exists, I'm fascinated by the lore it adds, and there are plenty of characters and ideas here that I absolutely adore. But I think I wanted Pathologic 3 to give me a little more humanity alongside the philosophy. I wanted to know what these people meant to each other. I wanted to know what they became after Gorkhon. Still love the game. Still love the series. Recommended, but with a very large asterisk for anyone coming into it primarily for character closure.

This game is fanservice through and through. It offers a new perspective on the 'progress v tradition' themes of pathologic 2 and wants you to take your (time) with it. The dialogue, written by a bilingual russian, puts the writing of most english RPGs to shame. Some might call it pretentious. I'd say it borders between clever stageplay and "I wish there would be at least one character that didn't speak in riddles". Thankfully, the game acknowledges this and lets you insult people for talking in too many directions. I eventually got impatient and started rushing through stuff near the end, but for people who are more addicted to this world, there is a lot to enjoy here if you just like spending time with these characters. The time travel mechanic allows you to exhaust every dialogue option without savescumming, though you might need to cheat to give yourself extra amalgam if you really want to be thorough because grinding amalgam is tedious.
THIS REVIEW IS FROM SOMEONE AT THIS MOMENT OF POSTING HAS NEVER PLAYED PATHOLOGIC 1, BUT HAS COMPLETED PATHOLOGIC 2 MULTIPLE TIMES. I PREFER PATHOLOGIC 2, BUT THIS GAME IS EXTRAORDINARY!!! Pathologic 3 is indeed about trading walnuts for morphine with children. It is a game that is subject to criticism for its departure from the previous titles, but I believe it is truly within a league of its own. A game that makes you the player, ultimately impotent but infinite in its dreary world. Could I recommend Pathologic 3 to anyone? Yes! I started with Pathologic 2, and I do believe that game tonally is superior, this game is approachable and easier to manage. Pathologic has always been a very *selective* series, in where the titles do not care whether you enjoy it, but Pathologic 3 has made obvious work to make it so the game is enjoyable and rewarding to play, but the ever present dread is with it. Finality. Fate. Those are the core themes. You can change almost anything in the game... within the limits of fate. There are multiple universes where one thing has changed. Time is essential, precious, and fleeting. Of course until you move the clock, and you then realize, aside from Amalgam, the day lasts forever. But, there are some decisions you can never reverse. These decisions are spaced throughout the game so you cannot tell which choice is fatal, and which choice is fluid. Have you came to this game because of a certain African Youtuber or from 7 hour video essay? I suggest this game because it is the most approachable, and the team deserves more praise than they have ever received. However, it is the most divergent from the other two. DO I NEED TO PLAY THE OTHER GAMES TO UNDERSTAND THIS ONE? No, not at all. Each game is incomprehensible in their own unique form. Pathologic 3 does not assume familiarity with the setting, but then takes any semblance of familiarity, breaks the test tube, puts it in some sort of alchemical flask and makes you snort it (glass and all); all before you can ask: "why did I do this," or "what is happening," "why is my character a chud," and "why am I talking to a child in a rat mask?" Are you a grognard that is unsure of this entry into the franchise? It is likely not tailored to your liking, it takes liberties with how the game is played. Are you new and saw a cool video about this game and thin "hmmm, this seems pretty interesting?" Then this game is for you. Pathologic 3 tells its own story but it is still deeply mired within the lore and characters of the originals, and I could not recommend this game enough to newcomers as it makes the setting plenty mysterious without making the player want to cut short their own existence due to poor input lag in combat.
You could not convince me this was play tested by a human being
Cool that you're playing game in the same setting, but the stories and attitude toward ending are different. Gameplay is still interesting. Warm to meet known characters from another perspective. Haruspex ending felt more emotional though. Russian voicing is awesome
