Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.25/day in the week to Aug 3 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Pathologic 3 is a psychological horror game where you have only 12 days to save a town from a mysterious plague.
You are Daniil Dankovsky: physician, researcher, prodigy. Your research into the nature of death has brought you to this remote town deep in the eastern steppe, looking for a man said to be immortal.
But the outbreak of a deadly contagion sweeps through the town. The immortal man is dead. You failed to stop it.
Now you must return to the beginning. Fix your mistakes. Save the town.
Every minute counts. Save them all, discover the secrets of immortality... don't go mad in the process.
Bring your medical training to bear. Observation and knowledge are your tools. Work with patients face-to-face.
Examine the sick and make diagnoses. Each patient is a unique story — and a medical mystery. They may lie, omit the truth, or hide their motives. You must separate fact from fiction, and identify the real symptoms. Step by step, you'll get closer to developing a vaccine that could change everything.
Fight for every new day. Ensure the town's survival by imposing your own rules: enforce quarantines, confiscate precious medicine, vaccinate the population, suppress riots, deploy patrols, and declare curfews.
You will make mistakes, face their consequences, and unlock new decrees. Your actions will shape the town—even if the people grow to hate you for it. Power is in your hands. It's up to you whether the streets will see gunfire or fireworks.
Made a mistake? Go back, and fix it.
Time is your tool for navigating a narrative web filled with moral dilemmas and branching paths. Rewind if you think you could have done better. Keep your eye on your ultimate goal—even if the road there is paved with sacrifices.
How far will you go to find the truth? Your mental state directly affects your actions, and even how you interpret events. Falling into apathy or wandering into mania may lead you to new insights... or to your death.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox, GOG publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews

Combat is fundamentally broken. Is hard to believe it was even playtested. You can't shoot enemies or Daniil kills himself due to apathy. So everything you can do is point the gun at enemies so they stop attacking you for a couple of seconds. But them there are 8 guys chasing you, and you need to do this retarded dance when you keep pointing the gun, run, point the gun, run, point the gun, run... If you stop you get beat up to death, and if you shoot them Daniil just kill himself because he is a drug addicted emo on this game for some reason. And the color pallet is also horrible, half of the time I can't even tell what the ♥♥♥♥ is going on. There are weird light flashes and blurs from time to time and the game just make me feel dizzy. I guess it's to reflect Daniil's new personality as a morphine addict junkie or something, but it honestly makes the game feel unpleasant to play. It's a shame because I liked Pathologic 2 a lot. But this game is such an downgrade, in both terms of gameplay and in terms of visuals.
Writing this review is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, which is saying something, because I've played Pathologic 2 and 3. This game is a work of art. It is beautiful. It is engrossing. It is a huge leap forward from P2. I enjoyed most of my time with it. All that being said, the question that begins all of these reviews is this: "Would you recommend this game to other players?" This is a sad thing to say, but the technical aspects, the mechanic inconsistencies, and THE BUGS, drag down all the delightful aspects of the game. I stress this: WRITING GOOD. ART TEAM GOOD. Programming not so much. The writing is top tier. The central characters are fully fleshed out. Concepts of fighting a supernatural plague and chasing mysteries and traveling forwards and backwards in time while telling a story as (and to) an unreliable narrator(s)? It's all so interesting. The technical problems are just too much. Having so many mechanics explained once (e.g. euthanasia) and then staking a game-defining mechanic on success or failure of it? Having some mechanics explained basically not at all? Having some mechanics appear vitally important but actually be nothing but window dressing? Having some mechanics stop working on you when you least expect it? This part of things is, definitively, not fun. For those of you who have also enjoyed this game, let me ask you--who, in good conscience, could you recommend this game to? Who would you condemn to having to rely on exploits to keep their amalgam from running out? Who is sentenced to figuring out console commands to complete quests? Yes, it appeals to a certain type of masochist, who is likely to pick up the game against all warnings of peril and good sense (part of my review's intent is to get those people intrigued enough to play it! DO IT!) but no. I cannot recommend this game to other players. I understand that this game is an attempt, ongoing from P2, to completely eradicate ludonarrative dissonance. What I mean is this: a game like Bioshock has a story with themes about ending selfishness and thinking of others first; but mechanically, you're still spending all your time running around amassing power and turning yourself into an unstoppable killing machine. P3, you the player spend your time struggling and confused and terrified -- just as the Bachelor is! This is acceptable to a degree, but not to the extent they push it here. Having to juggle the intentionally overwhelming mechanical experience detracts from one's ability to enjoy the story, and indeed, functionally limits how MUCH of the story you can see (unless you are using the highly recommended amalgam exploit). You can see by the incredible attrition in the Steam Achievements how many people are getting completely turned off by the mechanical experience and quit in droves before the story even really gets into swing. Only half of people make it to Day Three. That's insane, you guys. The writing here is so meritorious, I would love to see it become accessible to more people. Alas, few will ever get there because the mechanical experience is -- like living through a plague -- a nightmare. Devs: The worst thing about your game is that it is a game. Please, for Shabnak's sake, add a story mode.
All I wanted was to have the complete experience of pathologic 2, which was a game very close to my heart that remained incomplete. I wanted to take what I know and have the full picture I never got in the previous game, and was willing to pay for a full new game for it. Pathologic 3 is not that. It's a whole new game, with similar story, similar character and similar landscape but it's not the change of perspective I wanted. Which really disappointed me. The issue is, that pathologic 3 is still full of good ideas. Some of my complaints about P2 was that there was not enough doctoring, and that save scumming was too good. P3 fixes both point-- with much more focus on being a healer and a whole new time travel system that makes save scumming less important. Then again, I don't think pathologic 3 hits the mark. The time travel is too much, and it breaks the immersion in a wat that outshines its benefits. I wish the game at least encouraged you to continue to the next day, instead of making replaying the same day over and over until you optimized everything the best strategy. The fact that it doesn't let you just sleep to the next day pull the rug under the core of game. To the point I am not sure what the point of having a time limit even is. With the additional limitation on free roaming, and the much worse hobo economy that assigns constant value to each item, and with the mercy killing minigame somehow ending up worse than the minigame of the last game, I have hard time recommending this game. I appreciate the developers and hope they will make some core changes to the system because the way you can restart a day with no cost but have a cost to continue to the next day simply makes no gameplay or narrative sense to me and undermines the experience. p.s I really enjoyed the main character in this game, for a while, much more than I enjoy a typical game protagonist, but playing the arrogant rationalist in a bizzare supernatural town gets old must faster than this game progresses. And any hopes I had of the game encouraging you to play an a-hole via the apathy-mania mechanics faded quickly since those were just too easy control via more direct means to let it affect your speech.
Went back and forth between days to try and save a character from dying only to discover that I wasted my time and resources because it's impossible to save them without completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over the entire story. 10/10 one of the best games I've ever played
