Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
In a solar system cut-off from a ravaged Earth, you play as a scavenger trying to make a living in the dredges of space. Wage-slave scrapper life isn’t enough anymore, and at last you’ve pulled together the funds (plus a hefty loan) to have a go at independence.
Based in the same universe as Blue Bottle Game’s last hit NEO Scavenger, learn to manage your dysfunctional crew and ship as you fend off bankruptcy...or worse.
Every choice you make will affect the outcome of the game. In character creation, you’ll use a Career Kiosk to shape your character’s background, income, and qualifications. Use it to customise your traits and skillset, which will be essential when managing your ship, its crew, and anyone sticking their noses in your business. You’ll start out the game with enemies, ex-lovers, and acquaintances to seek out… or avoid. Just remember your early decisions will affect your options and outcomes in conversations down the line.
Build your dream ship from the ground up, using detailed, functional parts. Scavenge “pre-loved” parts in the boneyard to upgrade your ship - finding old or rare parts in the system is much cheaper than tracking down the original manufacturer. Who has time to scour the solar system? Hook up subsystems, add extra power and fuel, and be sure to replace parts which have worn out during your adventures. Parts are essential to your experience and will change how your ship feels to fly.
“I cannot change the laws of physics, Captain!” In Ostranauts you will be piloting a ship under the laws of Newtonian flight, learning to fly using in-world manuals and sheets. It will be your job to manipulate control panels, flip switches, and to resist the urge to press the big shiny red button… Every craft has a different flight feel based on thrusters, hull mass, and how you’ve customised the ship. Remember to use a light touch whilst docking, and try not find yourself in the outer rim with an empty fuel gauge.
Even in the darkest corners of space, you are not alone. Each character you encounter runs an AI that is constantly making choices based on their current needs and past experiences. They have physiological and emotional needs, ranging from basic wants like food, oxygen and water all the way up to deeper needs like intimacy and security. As captain, keep an eye out at the space port, scout out a crew and build those relationships. Your background will shape out how you are able to interact with other characters and if they will join your ship - have you developed a silver tongue or does fear rule your ship?
Based in the same universe as NEO Scavenger, Ostranauts will be rich with lore for those who wish to explore. After the collapse of civilization on Earth, colonies and factions formed - colonising other planets, moons and asteroids - with only those able to adapt to the harshness of space able to survive. As states and corporations spread their reach through the System, whispers of unexplained phenomena are creeping through back channels.
Blue Bottle Games encourages players to join the Discord, share modding ideas, and to help grow the world of Ostranauts. Modders who want to make their experience more unique are able to edit a wide variety of game data - most of the game's data is in plain-text files for easy access. If you have an inquiry, send us a message in either the Blue Bottle or Kitfox Discord.

This game rules. It's tough to learn at first but after playing for 40 hours I can see how tightly designed it is. Once you build a torch drive and leave the starting station for the first time the entire game opens up, but there are still so many challenges to overcome and the game still feels a LONG WAY from feeling stale even at that point. HIGHLY recommend
The genius behind Neo Scavenger strikes again, this time in a far deeper game where you play a spaceship scavenger. For me this game is a masterpiece, the writing, music and artwork at top tier, gameplay is deep and engaging, universe feels incredibly immersive. The game also allows for a great variety in gameplay, do you want to make billions hauling? Specialise in ship scavenging, learning all the ship designs so you and your crew and optimise your time and income? Do you want to pirate other ships? Or do you just want to spend house designing your dream ship? It's all there. It's hard to find comparisons for this game, as I find it's gameplay quite unique, but you can certainly find similarities with Rimworld in the crew management and 2d block building/design. This game is truly a unique experience, and I think it has it's place amongst the great, and this developer really deserves praise for doing such authentic games!

Spawned on a moon and entered my ship. Went to a space wreck and salvaged some junk from it including some O2 cans and NO2. Navigated back to the moon and sold junk. Noticed second slot for O2 canister on my ship. Spent 12 real life minutes figuring out how to install said O2 canister into slot. Figured it out and set off to salvage another wreck. docked too fast and died on impact. Cool game.
Live on ship forget you need to breathe die live again
I'll start out by saying that v1.0 feels like it was rushed out with pressure from the publisher. This game is not what I'd call in a finished state, and still feels, and plays like an early access title. I feel the removal of the early access tag is going to disappoint and frustrate people who are expecting a feature complete, polished experience. This is not a feature complete, polished experience. (Yet) With that being said, the developer is still actively pushing fixes and new content, and intends to continue pushing fixes and new content. There's no other game out there that really begins to offer the same experience as Ostranauts, the analog, interactive UI style is brilliant, and the game has a wonderful atmosphere to it that really immerses me.
Tutorial is awful. Everything is so cluttered and all over the place. I couldn't recommend this game unless you enjoy game breaking bugs with wasted time invested. Maybe the 1.0 will address this, but right now I couldn't recommend it.
Such a rewarding, in depth game of repairing, maintaining and building or scrapping ships. The gameplay loop is excellent, the writing is phenomenal, and the only weaknesses are a little bit of jank with NPCs as of the last time I played - which is being actively worked on. Very highly recommend if you enjoy The Expanse or similar hard sci-fi
I wish I could recommend this game, as the description and gameplay is niche and right up my alley. A highly interactive game where you can walk around a station, do trades, walk on to your ship, undock it manually, set a course, then get up from your seat to do maintenance, chores, sorting, etc. should be a slam dunk for many a space fan. However, there is still much work to be done in terms of bugs and mechanics. Pros: -Arguably the best "A guy/crew in space just making it by" experience I've found yet. Big potential for Firefly enjoyers. -Everything has a granularity to it that seems dense but is nowhere near as cumbersome as other games with a similar level of interactivity. Cons: -So many bugs, to the point that asking about them on the discord usually gets a reply of "just avoid that" as they've been in the game for so long its just conditioned. For example, one of the main tools you'll be using is a welder, and your guy should be able to swap the batteries on the charger, but he just drops them on the ground. -Crew are broken/tedious to the point that many actively avoid their use, you must give them orders or they'll do nothing productive, though sometimes even that doesn't help. The only real use of crew I've found is so on longer voyages your character doesn't go insane from lack of contact. I hope to revisit this game in the future (when it's had more development), and will update this review at that time.
the best space game out there <3 <3 <3
Это великолепно. Для красоты картины остался русский язык и кооператив.
