Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 24 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Okami is a grand adventure that takes you on a magical and mystical celestial journey to eradicate evil and bring harmony back to the people of the land. Filled with wonderfully selected music that showcase certain aspects and feelings of the storyline with gameplay elements displayed through a unique style of artistry. Okami is definitely a game I highly recommend. It's beautiful, peaceful and gets you thinking while not being overly challenging. If you love calligraphy and Japanese folklore, you may find this game captivating too. Love it!
IF YOU MAKE A HEART ON AN NPC YOU CAN GET HEAD PATS FOR THE WOLF :D
Okami is a game I highly recommend, but I also specifically highly recommend it specifically to people who do not mind very slow pacing at times. It is a one of a kind experience, and that alone earns it a thumbs up from me. Visually, it is absolutely incredible. The art style and presentation still look better than many modern games, and it genuinely feels timeless. While the game leans more desaturated than my personal taste, that is ultimately a preference issue rather than a flaw. The amount of effort, care, and intent poured into the visual identity is unmistakable. Even as someone who is not especially drawn to traditional Japanese art, I can still clearly recognize how thoughtful and admirable the execution is. It is a beautiful game in a way that feels sincere rather than flashy. Movement is one of Ōkami’s strongest elements. Controlling Amaterasu feels wonderful, and simply running around the overworld is extremely satisfying. The speed, fluidity, and responsiveness make traversal a joy, and the animations elevate this even further. Watching Amaterasu run, stop, fight, and interact with the world is endlessly charming. Nearly every character animation feels full of personality and care, and this is one of the areas where the game truly shines. The music, while I think it could have used a bit more variety or stronger vibes at times, fits the atmosphere very well. It complements the world and tone without ever feeling out of place, and overall it adds to the experience rather than detracting from it. Combined with the visuals, the game succeeds strongly at building a cohesive and memorable atmosphere. Combat is solid, if somewhat simple. It feels a bit below the standard set by later PlatinumGames titles, but it is still enjoyable and functional. The variety of weapons helps keep combat interesting, and I personally gravitated toward the beads, which I enjoyed using as a whip. While the system does not evolve dramatically over time, it remains competent and satisfying enough to support the game. The story is also quite good. It takes its time building up themes and hinting at future developments, and I think the payoff at the end is genuinely effective. There is clear intent behind the narrative, and when it comes together, it works. Unfortunately, pacing is where Ōkami consistently struggles, and it is the game’s biggest weakness. The game feels padded and stretched far beyond what it needed to be. I frequently found myself putting it down, not because I disliked it, but because I was tired. Dialogue scenes often go on too long, cutscenes frequently stack back to back, and there are large stretches where very little meaningful gameplay happens. These constant interruptions severely damage the game’s momentum. The dungeon design is uneven as well. Some dungeons feel too short, some too long, some not integrated enough into the world, and one in particular felt so over-incorporated that it completely killed my interest. None of them are outright bad, but the inconsistency adds to the sense that the game is poorly paced and overly drawn out. Battle encounters further contribute to this problem. Instead of fighting seamlessly in the overworld, enemies pull you into separate battle arenas. After combat, you are scored, and the delay before regaining control feels noticeably long. This constant stopping and starting disrupts the game’s flow and clashes heavily with how good movement and exploration feel when you are actually allowed to play. The Celestial Brush is a great idea conceptually and thematically, but its execution in this version does not fully land for me. On the Wii, where you could point directly at the screen, it felt much more natural and engaging. Using a controller stick to draw instead feels clunky and acts as another pace breaker. While the mechanic remains creative and visually fitting, its frequent use further slows the game down, especially as its novelty fades. Overall, Ōkami has a unique identity unlike almost any other game. It is artistically stunning, full of heart, and clearly made with passion. The gameplay is solid, the world is memorable, and the story has meaningful payoff. However, it feels stretched, padded, and overlong. What could have been a tight and impactful 20-hour experience ends up dragging itself out far longer than it needs to. Still better than Mega Man 7
An amazing classic but do install the mod for the original credits. It's worth it I promise.
I never got to play the original game back on PS2, so this was my first time experience. I wasn't sure what to expect from Okami, but it turned out to be a very visually stunning game with unique fun puzzles to solve by drawing on the screen with a pen. The characters were quirky and fun, with and plenty of gag comedy as well as some more serious moments. Everything in spirit of japanese folklore. The sound, music, art and unique atmosphere is definitely very memorable. The combat was decent although nothing special, and at times it felt like the pacing of the story was a bit odd and sloggy to get through, but it wasn't bad. It took me around 37h to finish it, so it is pretty lengthy, for better or worse. Definitely looking forward to the sequel. Works out of the box on Steam Deck and Linux.
More than a decade after its PlayStation 2 debut, Okami remains one of Japan's most extraordinary creations. A Zelda-like adventure so drenched in ink-wash beauty and folklore that it feels less like a game and more like a living scroll. This PC version, supporting 4K resolution, is definitively the finest way to experience it. The only disappointment? A 30fps lock on even the most capable hardware. What Works The Celestial Brush remains gaming's most elegant mechanic. Freeze the world, draw on its canvas-like surface, and watch dead trees bloom, broken bridges mend, or the sun itself cycle from day to night. Thirteen brush techniques unfold across dozens of hours, each solving puzzles, enabling exploration, and slicing enemies clean in half during combat. The art direction was always the star. At 4K, it is transcendent. That thick paper texture in the sky. Those distant mountains rendered in three ink strokes. They weren't compromises. They were the vision, now finally realised without technical limitation. Grass and flowers still bloom behind Amaterasu as she gains speed, their colours shifting like a watercolour left too long in rain. The worldbuilding is meticulous. Shinto spirits inhabit every grove. Treasure chests yield lacquerware and incense burners. Your companion Issun, a tiny, loudmouthed artist, provides comic relief that never grates across the forty hour journey. The narrative twists unexpectedly. You will visit an underwater kingdom, pilot an emperor like a puppet, and watch a character launch for the stars in a bamboo rocket. What Doesn't That 30fps cap is baffling. For a game this dependent on fluid brushstrokes, the absence of 60fps, let alone higher, feels like a self-inflicted wound. Camera angles betray you in confined spaces. Cutscenes linger. And while the world overflows with collectibles, the power-ups hidden in chests are largely irrelevant. You will sell most of them. Should You Play It? Unequivocally yes. Okami HD on PC is the definitive Okami. A staggering, singular vision of classical Japan, rendered in the resolution it always deserved. The frame rate cap stings, but cannot diminish what remains an utterly compelling masterpiece.
I've actually been playing this game since 2007, when it originally released on the PS2. It's one of my absolute favorites! It's certainly a unique experience, especially for games nowadays (I'm old). The art style stands out for sure, being watercolor based and heavily influenced by old Japanese storytelling. That said, the NPCs can be rather chatty but it's because the original game developers cared that you understood the lore! So far on Steam, I haven't noticed any bugs or glitches. Everything plays as I know it is supposed to, as again I honestly can't even count how many times I've played through it on PlayStation. I can't recommend this game enough to anyone who loves art, adventure, and a game with meaning!
