About
You're the Stranger, a mysterious bounty hunter on a mission to bag the ultimate prize. And you need that money like no one else because there is something very wrong with your health and the only way to fix it is a very costly operation. However the nature of your illness remains a secret and as you find out during the game, for a good reason.
In the dusty, undeveloped wastelands of Western Mudos, cantankerous townsfolk find their settlements besieged by belligerent outlaws. Along comes Stranger, a tall, dark and enigmatic bounty hunter with a mission to capture troublemakers and scoundrels and return them to civilized townships for incarceration.
But Stranger is keeping a secret and needs expensive surgery to survive. In his quest to earn enough Moolah, Stranger reluctantly accepts the ultimate bounty from the owner of the Mongo River and suddenly his adventure takes a very different turn.
Fire Live Ammo! Launch critters at your enemies. Distract them with Chippunks, encase them in Bolamite webbing, or destroy them with Stingbees and explosive bats.
Accept missions from the Bounty Store and talk to neurotic townsfolk to learn where your bounty can be found.

This franchise's world is incredibly creative. The story and humor are great. Reminds me of my favorite movie Rango.
I played this game all the time as a kid, and have just revisited it now in 2026 and it still holds up as a fun, unique and very different type of game than you would see today. The story is awesome, you play as a bounty hunter trying to get enough moolah to pay his medical bills and get to meet many colourful characters on your journey. You use your crossbow, and a unique set of live ammo to help take out the enemies. Without spoiling it, the game does have more than you'd probably expect from just reading the store page and I would highly suggest just jumping into the game and bagging some bounties. It being made in 2005, it's of course got some rough edges, (graphics, controls, subtitles out of synch/not matching spoken) but I assure you, the story is worth a little downtime to figure out the controls (the 3rd person sprinting in the game is honestly so fun, once you get it down). It might be childhood bias giving me rose-tinted glasses, but even so, I highly recommend this game, and I think it deserves way more love than its ever got. So get to hunting some outlaws Stranger. There's moolah to be had.

OddWorld: Stranger's Wrath is a game that tries to do invoke feelings of playing a hybrid of Ratchet & Clank and Conker's Bad Fur Day and unfortunately can't seem to find it's identity. For the first 60% of the game you spend time going into 3 different towns which act as little hubs to begin bounties, with each area having about 4-5 bounties. There is also a general store which allows you to purchase ammo and occasionally upgrades. suddenly after completing the last bounty in the 3rd (and last) town the story and gameplay take a sudden shift in direction. You're no longer collecting bounties and now set on an adventure to hunt down some big bad boss and the game suddenly becomes super linear. The story feels a bit convoluted with the final cutscene "twist" not even have much emotional depth because the sudden main antagonist of the game had basically ZERO deposition to explain the motivation behind why he is doing what he is doing. I could get over all that because the real attractive part of this game is cool combat and ammo type system; BUT its all ruined by the final quarter of the game spiking difficulty by stripping you of all your upgrades from the first portion and then giving you 3-4 different armors which in my opinion never made me feel like I was any more tanky than the previous suit. The REAL crime is just how buggy this game is. the worst offender is for some reason after you discover what the Stranger is I had a bug where if I tried moving from a stand still in 3rd person mode the Stranger would just stand there or spin in a circle, the only way I could get my directional inputs to matter was to get momentum first by either swapping into 1st person mode and then switching out after taking some steps, jumping, or attacking, This lead to some very frustrating moments and deaths because I would try to go take cover only to have the bug render me stuck in place while getting beamed by the enemies. The next bug required me to dig into an obscure forum because there is a section at the end where you are timed to run to the final boss' office while avoiding dying to snipers and gunners only to make it to the end and the Stranger not running through the door in the cutscene and you getting locked out of the next area, and since that section was the MOST frustrating one for me with a LOT of deaths it turns out you have to quickly skip the 3 second cutscene to teleport you behind the door or suffer the consequence of trying to make that run all over again. TLDR; The story is a mess with no clear reason from any major character for why they are doing what they are doing, the first 60% can cause people to drop the game from the rinse repeat bounty missions, and the bugs are enough to make you want to throw your computer out a window. Otherwise the premise had a lot of promise and the ammo variety was a treat.
When i first heard of it seen the footage about it, i wasnt liked the idea of oddworld switching into a fps game as i assume about it. until whenever i keep playing it, i started to liking it! this is somewhat a fun and impressive game in the oddworld franchise alongside with munch's oddysee. great game and i recommend you to try it! if you want to!
Lembro quando conheci esse jogo quando eu baixava demos na PSN do Playstation 3. Clássico puro
There really should be more bounty-hunter related games out there. Add the insanity of Oddworld, and you'll have a WONDERFUL time.
не знаю что так все разнылись насчет управления на ПК. По-моему все окей. Играл в эту игру в детстве, решил перепройти. Игра шик
