the first game (played on gog) was terrible. quick and manual saving anytime is great but autosaves weren't frequent enough, half of it was timed and one of the protagonists only spoke in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bible quotes. janky if rebindable controls (horse especially but also whip, duels and platforming), and don't even get me started on level 9 (of 15). a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rabbit and feather hunt in the middle of the story in a big-ass open area and the highest mountain, both ultimately leading to nothing, just an enormous waste of time. and they kept coming up with more and more annoying sections right till the very end, with an easy-to-fail qte preceded by an unskippable cutscene. ♥♥♥♥ you. this is a prequel and unfortunately the priest is back. he's not one yet but one of the brothers still runs a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bible class, I've had it with his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pretty fast. being a prequel means you can skip the other one if you want, but seeing as this is more evolved from a technological perspective, it might be even harder to stomach that after this. not to mention the intro is both a flashback and flashforward, spoiling things for the first game if you haven't played it. I despise ♥♥♥♥ like this, in shows and movies as well, the laziest thing ever. has decent settings (resolutions, rebinds, brightness, some gfx, invert mouse, sensitivity, auto-aim, etc.) but nothing for screen shake and gatlings, cannons and explosions rattle things a lot. thankfully, a lot less stealth and platforming, and no stacking wonky crates. 15 levels and 3 difficulties for story mode once again, most levels give you a choice on who you want to play with, leading to different playstyles and sometimes paths. while the first game had no problems running but took a while to load and even quicksave, this crashes like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, couldn't even get the first level to load, yet loading itself is faster and saving is instant. autosaves/checkpoints are more frequent too, actually useful now. the solutions I'd found were lowering audio quality in windows (was already there), setting win7 or even vista compatibility and run as admin for the .exe, and selecting a chapter from the menu instead of continuing. it's weird it'd crash after handling a pre-rendered cutscene, the menu, the opening in-engine intro, some of he narrated slideshow that followed, but not creating a checkpoint in the middle of it. and it kept crashing at the beginning of act 2, during the slideshow/loading screen, and again and again every few levels in the same place. audio and compatibility clearly didn't fix it, the ultimate solution is going to level select if you don't have a save on that level yet, and you won't if it crashes before creating one. fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, techland! when it works, it plays a lot better than the first one and I enjoyed most of it. largely on-rails and cinematic but on occasion offers a bit of free-roaming and side missions for extra cash to spend on better weapons, except these are optional, unless the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rabbit hunt and eagle mountain. constant babysitting and 'don't leave your brother behind' ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, or them dying and failing the mission are annoying though. there's a lasso instead of a whip now, works a bit better, duels too. focus is a lot cooler (tag a bunch of people and kill 'em all) but instead of having it ready, once filled, you either use it before the timer runs out or lose it, then have to kill more to charge it again. it should at least keep resetting the timer with new kills but as it is, I found it of very limited use. and the penultimate level is so dark even cranking up gamma didn't help.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a first-person shooter set in the American Wild West. It serves as a prequel to the original Call of Juarez and focuses on the story of three brothers; Ray, Thomas, and William McCall. Players looking for an action-packed Western game with an engaging story and memorable characters, look no further than Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. From the beginning, the game captures the atmosphere of the Wild West with detailed Environments, shootouts and cinematic storytelling. Among the three games – not including Call of Juarez: The Cartel, compared to Call of Juarez, Bound in Blood, and Gunslinger, Bound in Blood is the strongest choice for players who enjoy a serious and traditional story of sibling rivalry, violent love triangle, and hunger for power. When the game was on sale during the Steam Summer Sale, it was originally nine dollars and ninety-nine cents. But it was on sale for one dollar and twenty-five cents. Players may expect the game to be outdated, but the gameplay and story continue you to hold up, even with the recent game in the series – Gunslinger. The game might even be better than its recent release. If there was a discussion about the pros and cons of Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood it would be as follows: Pros being strong story, great voice acting, fun gameplay, Beautiful Western atmosphere, and two playable characters for balanced gameplay. Cons, have some repetitive missions, and a short story compared to other video games in the first-person shooter genre. Overall, Call of Juarez bound in blood is an excellent choice for fans of Westerns and first-person shooters. It’s a good recommendation for players interested in the series or those who want to try something new for a change. 4.5/5 stars for this game.
Better thank the first gameplay wise, pretty evenly matched story wise. Nothing will ever top Gunslinger, but you have to respect the OGs.
the field of view and dueling system in this game is bad enough to overpower every other good thing and leave a negative review
хорошая игра, жаль что новых игр про дикий запад нет
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a fantastic western shooter that stands out as a high point for the franchise, and it’s a blast to play even years after its release. As a prequel to the original game, the story does a wonderful job of fleshing out the McCall brothers, giving excellent context to their motivations and relationship. It ties into the first game beautifully, and honestly, the package here feels a bit better overall than the first entry. The voice acting is absolutely great across the board, bringing real grit and emotion to the narrative, and the graphics have aged surprisingly well—they are still perfectly fine and do a great job of capturing that dusty, sun-drenched atmosphere. From a technical standpoint, the game ran flawlessly for me. I didn't encounter a single bug or glitch, which made the whole experience incredibly smooth. The core gunplay is just pure fun—fast, responsive, and deeply satisfying. That said, it isn't completely perfect. I personally really hated the duels; the mechanic felt frustrating and took me out of the rhythm of the game. Additionally, I wasn't a big fan of the "opened up" world sections, which felt a bit empty and slowed down what is otherwise a tightly paced action game. Still, if you want a great narrative-driven western shooter with excellent gunplay, Bound in Blood is an absolute must-play.
Few minutes into the game I wanted to abandon it due to the outdated graphics. But it is a short game so I played a little more and ended up finishing it. The graphics in the wilderness - Hills, lakes & Pine trees - is impressive for a 2009 game so this game can still be played by those accustomed to playing pre-2012 games. It is inferior to Call of Juarez Gunslinger but technically a good game. Gunslinger is visually superior and has better action. This game's colors seem faded except the green trees. It is 6/10 game for me. There were minor graphical glitches but nothing major - no crash, no freezing and no bugs. It is good to have a game from pre-Windows 7 era still run fine on Windows 11. The story is decent, it has multiple characters - Civil War soldiers, Native American tribes, Mexican gangs and a young priest. The option to play with 1 of the 2 main characters makes the game replayable but I'm satisfied with a single walkthrough. The 1:1 showdown with a boss is annoying because there is only a fraction of a second to shoot the boss. I would have finished the game an hour early if not for the 1:1 Showdown shootouts.
