About
In Oceaneers, a survival-crafting colony simulation game, you manage a group of stranded survivors in a flooded world where sci-fi meets palm trees. With sinking islands, and scarce resources, you’ll need to grow an island colony, recruit new survivors and protect them from dangers on both land and sea!

The ocean is scattered with floating islands powered by Float-Tech. Build devices to resurface them to haul back to your colony. Collect the best islands to deploy and create a thriving settlement.

Harvest and scavenge resources to build a colony that can sustain your survivors. Supplies are scarce, so you’ll need to brave the ocean and journey far to keep your stockpiles up.

A steady food and water supply is essential to meet your survivors' needs, but don’t forget about waste. Spoiled food and survivor mishaps must be managed while you establish fertilizer production and crop farming.

Send survivors on expeditions, then take direct control once they arrive. Discover new biomes, resources, blueprints, and unique story items as you explore the seas. Locate the best islands for your colony!

Research primitive contraptions, and uncover strange Float-Tech devices from an old-world corporation. With a wide and deep research tree, you decide how and when your colony advances.

Create characters with distinct skills and traits to form a well-rounded colony. With plenty of hairstyles, beards and mustaches, you’ll grow attached to your survivors and their journey.

Protect your colony from harsh weather, and threats on land and sea. Fortify your rafts, weather-proof your buildings and set up countermeasures against food-stealing seagulls, foot-pinching crabs and raft-wrecking sharks!

Deep within floating islands lie bunkers filled with corporate secrets, unique resources, weird technology, and pieces of a larger story. Build access hatches and explore their hidden depths.

Similar vibe to Don't Starve with a cute island twist. Still in early dev stages but very fun nonetheless if you like a time based, resource gathering survival game.
Unfortunately, can't recommend at the moment. Nice concept but insanely slow paced (second speed should be basic). Gathering resources becomes super tedious, dull and annoying. You get introduced to island tugging but remain dozens of hours from being able to do it. Tried liking it but the ratio of time spent/reward is unfortunately, at this stage of development, negative. Hope improvements are made and the game can be enjoyed as not a tedious chore-grind but rather a fun story.

Fun survival game with managing your own colony of survivors! Found this game randomly on the steam shop front page and because I like that kind of game and the pictures and videos looked promising, I thought I give it a try. Well, I am hooked! The concept of exploration is cool and adding new islands to your home base is something I have never seen done before like this and I really like it! Also, you can customize the game a bit and the standard game settings make the game just hard enough to think and ration your (food) supplies so your people don't die - so you have a bit of a challenge, but I like that! I am looking forward to the road ahead and what is coming in the next updates, the game looks like something the devs really care about and is made with heart!
Recomendado A+++
Never normally write reviews for games but this just blew me away. I played the demo for a good few hours and knew I had to buy this game. It's incredibly fun and there is so much content planned in the roadmap to really make this something you can put hundreds of hours into without getting bored. I recommend trying the demo like I did as it's the perfect way to figure out if you should buy it. For a two dev team they've really put their heart and soul into this to make a game that feels really unique. Like others have said it's a combination of raft, rimworld and don't starve. For those who enjoy the management of rimworld but feel like it's quite overwhelming and difficult this game is perfect for you. There is so much potential here to make a really cool game, one thing I would suggest to the dev's is to get this game seen more though advertisement. I found this game by scrolling down through filters on the steam store and nearly missed it. I think a lot of players might buy this game they just haven't noticed it yet. The game is also in early access so maybe getting the game advertised more is something the dev's will be able to focus on once it is fully released. I'm excited for the future updates as there is so much that can be done with this game and I really hope it gets the recognition it deserves once out of early access. Go give the demo a shot guys!
While I do think the idea behind this is alright , even using familiar concepts of other games to get people interested in the game. The core issue is that it just lacks a reason to keep going , because scouring your initial area for stuff gets dull very quickly , and with the research being so small and no real urgency to chase it down other then a better bed or a bigger raft. I had to stop and refund and wait till they add A LOT more content. Also citing how some people have gotten 100 hours out of the game , tells me all I need to know about a game in EA and how it is stretching basic gameplay loops into extra hours to then cite it in a blog when you are only 4 months in EA.
Here is a first impressions review. Generally fun but needs a lot of work on QOL to make the game less annoyng to play. 1. Colony Needs Icons are difficult to understand and there is no explanation when I mouse over them. For example I didn't know the water drop icon meant they needed to drink water. I thought it meant they were wet. In addition I couldn't figure out for the longest time that the last row meant toilet. Why not make it a poop icon? And make the icons bigger! I can barely see them. 2. Hard to figure out how to progress research and build the raft dock. The game just tells you to build one. But how? I cannot figure out how to get the materials needed to upgrade the research table to the advanced one. 3. I think having a workshop and a crafting table and so many crafting stations is kind of redundant since the starter island has too little space. Just use the crafting table to craft most stuff! PLEASE MAKE THE STARTER ISLAND BIGGER so that at least I can fit most of the crafting stations on it! I am not a fan of chaining islands. 4. Don't like charging the float device. If you have to use this mechanic, please make it so that once the island is made to float, it stays that way without needing to charge. 5. Salvaging is finicky and kind of annoying. Don't like how people keep wanting to get off the raft when trying to salvage. Make it so that the raft can be driven normally on top of debris and people do not get off the raft to salvage unless you choose "disembark". Isn't that the point of building the raft in the first place? I don't like that I have to use the mouse to move the raft, then use arrow keys to move it to the exact spot and then carefully choose the person to salvage stuff from on top of the salvage. That is just way too much work. 6. Payment for expedition. I wish the payment was just for the first time visit and subsequent visits are free. It is kind of taxing on the resources. 7. When people return from expedition, please make them appear at the main island instead of just randomly on the map. Please always display an arrow icon to indicate where your home base is from the raft so that I don't always have to refer to the minimap to to see which direction to drive the raft home. Ok to try if you can get it on sale. I am finding it a bit of a struggle to get into though. 6/10 for now for me.
Do it. It's a lot of fun. It's not incredibly difficult and it's also not got all the content but you can still complete the storyline. It's a little lacking in some aspects of automation and there is quite a bit of manually setting build queues that I hope they can eliminate but even then it's just a little time consuming and not harder or anything. There are quite a few things still not in game and you can see those in the research panel and elsewhere and most of those things still to come tell me it is an issue that will go away soon enough. Systems are fairly forgiving at the 'default settings' and honestly I don't even know if you can amp those up or not. If you cannot then there may not be much here for people who demand an enormous challenge but the average humanoid will like it I feel. I really liked my time with it even without some of the future content. Quite doable already. Thanks devs. I would wish you luck but based on what I have seen you are making your own already. Grats and thankyou.
Hervorragend, ein Spiel mit sehr viel Tiefe.
