About
In Oceaneers, a survival-crafting colony simulation game, you manage a group of stranded survivors in a flooded world where sci-fi meets palm trees. With sinking islands, and scarce resources, you’ll need to grow an island colony, recruit new survivors and protect them from dangers on both land and sea!

The ocean is scattered with floating islands powered by Float-Tech. Build devices to resurface them to haul back to your colony. Collect the best islands to deploy and create a thriving settlement.

Harvest and scavenge resources to build a colony that can sustain your survivors. Supplies are scarce, so you’ll need to brave the ocean and journey far to keep your stockpiles up.

A steady food and water supply is essential to meet your survivors' needs, but don’t forget about waste. Spoiled food and survivor mishaps must be managed while you establish fertilizer production and crop farming.

Send survivors on expeditions, then take direct control once they arrive. Discover new biomes, resources, blueprints, and unique story items as you explore the seas. Locate the best islands for your colony!

Research primitive contraptions, and uncover strange Float-Tech devices from an old-world corporation. With a wide and deep research tree, you decide how and when your colony advances.

Create characters with distinct skills and traits to form a well-rounded colony. With plenty of hairstyles, beards and mustaches, you’ll grow attached to your survivors and their journey.

Protect your colony from harsh weather, and threats on land and sea. Fortify your rafts, weather-proof your buildings and set up countermeasures against food-stealing seagulls, foot-pinching crabs and raft-wrecking sharks!

Deep within floating islands lie bunkers filled with corporate secrets, unique resources, weird technology, and pieces of a larger story. Build access hatches and explore their hidden depths.

Ich kann das spiel nicht auf Deutsch umstellen somit ist es für mich nicht zu geebrauchen.
I plan to redo this review once early access has progressed quite a bit. Would I recommend this game for its full $25 price tag? No, not really. Not in it's current state. But I think it can get there, and I do think it's good enough to pick up on a discount. It does have a narrative you can play from start to finish, but the game still feels mechanically incomplete. On a positive note, the vast majority of the micromanagement pains are things the devs have explicitly said they want to improve or provide some means to set up automation for, and the current lack of complexity should be greatly alleviated whenever the "coming soon" features, such as island plumbing, get implemented. The game is a colony sim set in a post-apocalyptic water world in which artificial islands are kept afloat by special devices which can be manually pumped (by your colonists) to recharge. You can eventually haul these islands home to build out your own custom archipelago. (Prioritize ones with trees, reeds, and/or berry bushes,) You need to manage your colony's supply of food and water and the individual happiness/morale of each colonist as you send out remote expeditions to gather materials, discover blueprints, and push the story forward. Eventually, you can transport your whole archipelago to a new region. You can choose the order, but you'll need to survive a very hot region with occasional monsoons and a very cold region with frequent snow, and then you'll move on to the final region with a bit of a mix of all the climates. I'm a little disappointed this fourth region mostly blends the prior scenarios for a couple encores instead of continuing to evolve the hurdles you face.

if you were a fan of ONI, then this game will fulfil that same colony sim itch. game is worth every penny!
I truly loved this game. I played for 112 hrs. It ran smooth without and bugs or issues. Also, the Devs are on this game. They listen to your feedback and/or questions and are there to help. They are also working on updates, which I can not wait until they come out. The game keeps you busy with quests and a survival aspect ( cooking and hunting for food). There is also so much to do it will keep you busy for a long time. I always worry when a new game comes out that I am going to spend a fair amount of money on it and complete it in 8-10 hrs. Not this game. It will keep you busy for a long time. It's definitely worth the money. Once I started playing it I found it hard to stop. I chose not to end my game when it came to the finale because I still didn't finish everything that is offered to build/craft in the game so I will keep adding hours to my gametime because I am having so much fun with it!
I had a spot in my gaming library for a game just like this one :D A survivor type colony sim, out on the water, with cute graphics and engaging gameplay. I've played a lot and there is still a ton of content I have yet to engage with and explore. That's because I've been taking my time and just enjoying the vibe. I like that the game allows the player to do things at their own pace. I bought it on day one of it's launch and I've got no regrets.
I absolutely love this game! Haven't played anything that gripped me so much for a long time. For me it's Don't starve but with colony survival management elements, and slightly less stress, but challenging enough. It also has a very pleasant mixture of micromanagement and automation. Amazing, how good this game is already at the beginning of early access! 10/10 for me.
Unfortunately, can't recommend at the moment. Nice concept but insanely slow paced (second speed should be basic). Gathering resources becomes super tedious, dull and annoying. You get introduced to island tugging but remain dozens of hours from being able to do it. Tried liking it but the ratio of time spent/reward is unfortunately, at this stage of development, negative. Hope improvements are made and the game can be enjoyed as not a tedious chore-grind but rather a fun story.
