abandoned by devs, just feels hollow and incomplete

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game.... is so hard to rate. TL:DR - If you buy this on sale and will play it with friends I recommend it. If you're gonna play solo I do not recommend this game. - Pros: This is your classic open world zombie survival with some fun gimmicks. You can build a base with howitzers, mini guns, and multi launch rocket systems. You can build an APC and build a small base on top of it and drive it around. Full quest line that ends, boss fights, etc. - Cons: It's pretty freaking janky, few frustrating mechanics, and the AI companions are the dumbest I've ever seen. Full Review Honestly, when I first saw the comments stating that the game was abandoned I thought they were dumb. I believe this game was made by just 2 developers. The fact is they can't work on the same game forever. If the game is complete and they want to move on, I can understand that. However, having completed the game I can understand the frustration. This is a "Fine" game that is a few months of polish from being a good game that I would highly recommend. Pros: - You have the classic open world survival zombie game and it works - You have absurdities beyond that. You wanna build a howitzer for your base? You can! Wanna build a Multi Launch Rocket System? You can! Wanna build a base on the back of an APC and take it with you? You.. mostly can. the sizing is limited but you absolutely can drive a base around with a mini gun on the back! - We had 0 crashes, and minimal bugs - A complete game with a quest where the game technically ends - Various fully constructed boss fights - Various types of undead enemies, animals, etc. - Lots of crafting - Various kinds of weapons 1h/2h, shields, guns, etc. - Large skill tree with various unlocks and upgrades - Full cooperative play Cons: - This game is freaking janky - - When you use melee if you hold right click and then left click your character will do a thrust.. this doesn't hit where your crosshair is. You have to aim to the left by a good foot to hit the enemy - - Hitting enemies on the ground is an utter mess. You'll swing and hit the ground, or dash forward in a thrust and get grabbed. - - This oddly janky combat with dashing and such really hits the next level in boss fights. You'll have Dark Souls style enemies with a giant weapon, or people acting like Wesker teleporting around. This becomes a mess with the jank mechanics when you have bosses dashing the length of the room at light speed and can 1-2 shot you. - I feel some parts of the game were not well thought out - - You have a large skill tree with ~156 different skills to unlock. These require research papers which you can craft and get basically everywhere. Some require books to unlock. This is honestly fine but - - - One entire tree (16 skills iirc) is for increasing damage. Unlike every other skill tree, every single unlock requires a Graduates Thesis. This is only dropped from a specific zombie dressed in a graduation cap and gown. These zombies are rare, have no set spawn locations, and run from you. We were 20 hours in before we killed one. We only killed about 8 in total in an entire play through. - - Environments - - - When you get to the desert area you over heat unless you drink something to cool you down. When you over heat you move at 50% reduced speed. This wasn't mentioned before hand so it was a rough surprise when we get out and can barely move - - - When you get to the snow area you can't move at all except to dash if you don't have a hot drink. This makes 0 sense to me. - - - This really should have been a build up meter, maybe clothes you wear effect it, etc. - If you're fighting a boss in coop and someone dies and isn't in the room when boss dies they don't get credit and you have to redo the entire dungeon again. This happened to us twice where someone died with the boss at 5% and didn't run back in time. - Probably my biggest frustration is the AI companions. This is probably the dumbest AI I've ever seen. - - They'll walk into traps and just stand there till they die. - - Then you can't get them up because they stand up, get hit and die - - They block door ways because they have full collision so you can't get past them - - They're loot goblins of epic proportions. You can take items from your AI but if anyone drops anything they run over at light speed and snatch it up. - - They get stuck constantly - - We honestly hated them but kept them around because you can use them to carry stuff.
At first, the game might feel a bit boring, but once you get to the part where you start building your house and setting up defenses, it gets super addictive. Planning zombie pathing is really fun, but the real highlight is the electricity system it's insanely detailed. You can build and stack batteries just like in real life, and they even have indicators! The wind turbines and solar panels are also really well-designed. Honestly, I didn’t expect to enjoy the power management part this much. Cons: -The combat feels clunky. -Too many buildings look the same, like they were made from a single template. -Looting is horribly boring and not satisfying at all. -Story navigation is confusing—sometimes the map markers are completely wrong, which is frustrating. -The story is decent, not bad, but way too generic. Final Thoughts: It’s definitely worth buying but only on sale.
One hour was enough to realize it’s just too wobbly and not fun. The NPCs are weird and everything feels kind of very basic. I’d expected more. Not a Game for me, sorry.
Uff.. I'm really disappointed about this game and it's development. I'm quite sure this game has potential but this is not used. I decided between 7 Days to Die and this game. On my decision I compared with lot of YouTube vids and I decided for this game as it seems to have quite better optics and also zombie traps. ^^ As of Steam info which is shown to me the game was published 08/28/2020. So this game is in early access since 2020? I thought 5 years in early access should be a good game... Ui also supports german it says... I really wonder why one of the essential things like "back to main menu" is somewhat translated with "Zurück zum Titel" which is clearly wrong. ( That's only 1 translational example as my job is not to colllect and report all of this game's tranlsation issues. ) I suppose that any updated AI translation for 2023 or 20024 would have been done better. Yes, I know about AI topic... finally it's on game publisher/development to clever define/decide for what you use AI (like UI translations) and for what you don't (like story telling voice stuff or companions..). I don't wanna be blasphemous but in my opinion whoever does only a few hours of investigation on such topic should know which is the best/right decision here for what. Hit boxes (or item highlighting?) are not matching - after beeing 5 years in early access? I want to destroy an item like Sarcophagus .. It seems that my pickaxe is the device/weapon of choice for this. So I use that... in my UI I do see the Sarcophagus clearly highlighted and my crosshairs also is pointing on it. In all 3 available UI views (switchable by "V" for me) it's impossible for me to hit it. Some I can only hit and destroy when I switch position and clearly position my crosshairs not within the marked/highlighted Sarcophagus. WTF - are you serious? Another point I really dont understand is that the weapon I have in my hand doesn't influence the things I would really prefer. If I want to repair or upgrade specific building I need to have e.g. a hammer in my hand because I'm otherwise not able to e.g. use "R" keyboard button to repair or "T" keyboard button to upgrade. But also then I need to not only hit the hightlighted item, I also need to press the correct button on my keyboard, really? What kind of uselsess thingy is this? If you force me to switch to the hammer holding in my hand you additionally force me to use my keyboard instead of e.g. right or left mouse button click? MAYBE .. if this would work.. which it doesn't because of the highlight/hitbox problem I mentioned, I would be able to accept such unnecessary keyboard actions which the game makes necessary but could be easily avoided. For base building I decided near to the water / a lake. After I have build my basic home and builded some foundations out of my home more into/onto the land... I builded some traps.. after this I wanted to build a path for the zombies .. so I need stairs to connect the ground (which was/is not that much in height difference to the foundations - half of a foundation maybe), right? But when I want to build the stairs I get "red" stairs and the info that I can't build in the water even if I'm very very cleary out of the water. I can workaround this by building some up and down stairs.. but same picture for me here... realy beeing already 5 years in early access? I could also mention other thinks like spawning zombies below my some higher foundations... or the thing about these companions attacking own buildings because a bush spawned below a structure? However, I have other things to do with my time. Steam info does show last update in Juli 2024 .. after this 1 hotfix in May 2025? Unfortunatelly this does speak for some recensions I read recently. What a bummer that there doesn't seem to happen some further development on this game. Sry, but I won't continue my journey with this game even if I did not yet hit the eastern grasland because this game does make me more frustration than fun. Sry, but as of reasons I can't recommend this game atm.
