An absolutely classic game. For a game released in 2010 the sandbox nature of the campaign and the numerous avenues you can take to grow your strength are incredible. Few games provide the fantasy of starting out as a tiny speck on the map and spiralling to becoming a dominant lord over a region. Once terrifying threats become mere annoyances and running your own kingdom is extremely satisfying. If you enjoy any kind of "create your own story" game like kenshi, rimworld, etc. I would highly recommend giving this game a shot. It should be noted that there is also multiplayer, which is still rather populated to this day. Though definitely a bit jank and dated, it is a blast to play with friends and offers a completely new way to experience this game. Just remember to get a fast horse and max your prisoner management.
