About
In Monsters are Coming! gather what resources you can to defend an ever-moving city. Are you ready to take on a never-ending army of darkness in a tower-survivor, action-rogue-lite on wheels?
- Fortify: The city must endure! Choose from a selection of town halls, place towers and create your own builds to maximise destruction. Equip defensive structures to repel monsters from the gates and keep the city moving forward, else the darkness will consume you!
- Forage: Gather wood, stone and gold as a persistent, multi-tasking hero. You must constantly balance risk vs reward while fighting back endless armies of monsters. Stray from the beaten path to find richer rewards or keep heading due south towards the safety of shelter.
- Fight: Beat Bad-Ass bosses, improve your abilities, overcome environmental obstacles and take charge of special weaponry to continually adapt your strategies. Or see your city turned to ash!
You’re the last hope for humanity, but it’s a long road to the Ark.
- Build your city your way. Reach shelter and buy new districts from the city shop. Then strategically choose where to place them based on the needs of each run.
- Defend yourself. Choose from a variety of unique Town Halls, then add archery outposts, necromancer towers, and even fire-breathing dragons to protect it from the dangers beyond the walls.
- Unlock new possibilities: Find a build that works for you, keep upgrading and try to stay alive against increasingly powerful monsters the closer you get to the Ark!
- Keep the city stocked: Gather wood to keep the engines burning and increase tower efficiency, chisel stone to help repair and rebuild, and mine gold to expand your moving fortress of destruction.
- Never stop moving: Collect compasses at the end of each run and pay your attempts forward, making it easier for future cities to find their way to the Ark!
- Explore for bonuses: Look for hidden secrets in shelters and tackle side hordes to find richer, rarer rewards. Just make sure you get back to your city in time!
- Progress to Prevail: Level up, increase your potential through vast player progression, and protect the city at all costs, even at the hero’s expense!
- The City Still Stands: Even if the Hero falls, it’s not game over! A run only ends once the city is destroyed, so quickly jump back into the fight before all hope is lost.
- Bad Ass Bosses: Getting to the Ark won’t be easy and there may be some larger monsters waiting for you at the periphery…

Занимательная игрушка. Можно выбрать разные стратегии. Интересные испытания. Надеюсь на дальнейшее развитие, добавление нового контента. <3
overall a fun experience with a lot of different viable strategies! I took the time to work up through the challenge ratngs, which while a bit tedious was definitely worthwhile for the unlocks. I just got 100% achievements, and I think the unlocks were really necessary at the higher challenge levels. I still have some of the Nightmare level objectives to finish, which I think I'm going to do at least to get the unlocks. I haven't played a tower defense game in a long time, this was a fun way to ease back into the genre. my biggest complaints seem to be with bugs. one is known (game will crash at higher endless levels just due to the number of things on-screen), but the other is that there's at least one challenge I'm not actually able to complete (Road of Ashes - Hard, Reach the Ark after building at least 9 Farm). my game seems to want me to reach the ark 9 times and between each ark I need to build 9 additional farms which... just doesn't seem correct? and even if it is correct unfortunately for me I guess my PC just isn't able to handle that many assets on-screen at once. it wasn't a required challenge to get 100% achievements though, and it doesn't have an associated unlock, so it didn't interrupt my flow too much to skip. minor complaints include some weird UI choices, and difficulties with tracking buildings in larger cities.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So there is good and bad, the good is the mechanics are fun, plenty of different builds between characters, bases, and base addons and more. Once you find that right build its pretty satisfying. Now the bad, you can't save partway through a session, at least not that I could find. If you have a good run it can last for hours, which is cool but a little bit of a commitment. And it really sucks when you find a great build and play for about 3 hours in one run and then the game crashes and you lose all your progress. which isn't surprising because you can add alot to your base, I have a 4080 super and it still crashed on me. If they did find a way to fix that then this would be 8/10 but with the crash im giving it a 6/10
Feels repetative very quickly, started getting bored after my third of fourth run. It might be worth it on sale.
6/10: Fun general gameplay loop, but keeps rolling out the paid DLCs without QOL. If you hit the achievements for a new town hall or weapon or hero, you have to pay meta currency to unlock them. Meanwhile, you have the option to lock and unlock certain buildings in advance of a run... but no way to save loadouts. If you want to do a gold run vs. a minion run, it'll take a while in menus to make that more possible.
Let me start with stating this game has issues. randomly unable to replace buildings with other buildings (not tombstones). Random soft locks. Bosses sometimes spawn below the ground and untargetable by the hero or the city. By themselves I am fine with these issues, however, since the game only saves the game between runs, you can easily throw away an hour of progress. This is very frustrating when focusing for a particular unlock. I will the game terms were explained better (it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out the "trail" was the resources you where currently carrying). Now the good. All the townhalls are unique. A lot of the towers are unique. Most of the weapons are fun and feel viable on normal. It feels like every build is viable on normal difficulty (I have not tried every combination). The game is fun, and balancing the upgrades between the hero and city keeps things fresh. I would recommend grabbing the game on sale. I feel that the DLC doesn't add that much to the base game and can be skipped.
Very fun but wish there were some free DLCs
easy to play and walk away, easy to hop back in anytime, the devs have been very actiuve woth the comminity on updates so eveytime i log in something in better or there is more of something
