About
In Monsters are Coming! gather what resources you can to defend an ever-moving city. Are you ready to take on a never-ending army of darkness in a tower-survivor, action-rogue-lite on wheels?
- Fortify: The city must endure! Choose from a selection of town halls, place towers and create your own builds to maximise destruction. Equip defensive structures to repel monsters from the gates and keep the city moving forward, else the darkness will consume you!
- Forage: Gather wood, stone and gold as a persistent, multi-tasking hero. You must constantly balance risk vs reward while fighting back endless armies of monsters. Stray from the beaten path to find richer rewards or keep heading due south towards the safety of shelter.
- Fight: Beat Bad-Ass bosses, improve your abilities, overcome environmental obstacles and take charge of special weaponry to continually adapt your strategies. Or see your city turned to ash!
You’re the last hope for humanity, but it’s a long road to the Ark.
- Build your city your way. Reach shelter and buy new districts from the city shop. Then strategically choose where to place them based on the needs of each run.
- Defend yourself. Choose from a variety of unique Town Halls, then add archery outposts, necromancer towers, and even fire-breathing dragons to protect it from the dangers beyond the walls.
- Unlock new possibilities: Find a build that works for you, keep upgrading and try to stay alive against increasingly powerful monsters the closer you get to the Ark!
- Keep the city stocked: Gather wood to keep the engines burning and increase tower efficiency, chisel stone to help repair and rebuild, and mine gold to expand your moving fortress of destruction.
- Never stop moving: Collect compasses at the end of each run and pay your attempts forward, making it easier for future cities to find their way to the Ark!
- Explore for bonuses: Look for hidden secrets in shelters and tackle side hordes to find richer, rarer rewards. Just make sure you get back to your city in time!
- Progress to Prevail: Level up, increase your potential through vast player progression, and protect the city at all costs, even at the hero’s expense!
- The City Still Stands: Even if the Hero falls, it’s not game over! A run only ends once the city is destroyed, so quickly jump back into the fight before all hope is lost.
- Bad Ass Bosses: Getting to the Ark won’t be easy and there may be some larger monsters waiting for you at the periphery…

This game in my opinion is awesome, its a great time sink. Progression is a good mix of challeng and easy, dlc is cheap and intriguing. Music needs to add more but it isn't terrible, just repetitive. Challenges are good and sometimes hard Now to the wish list- I wish there were more heros to start with other different weapons. More minon stuff buildings, weapons, and types would be cool. More music tracks and a clarification on the point system and how much you've gained while playing Over all I give it a solid 8/10 I still plan on playing more and watching what more comes out
A friend gifted this game to me, and I'd love to give a positive review because I truly enjoyed the game, however, the reccuring issues I've ran into prevents me from doing so. - Multiple times bosses spawned underground with no ways to damage them. - Hours of progress lost in Endless Mode because the game cannot keep up with the amount of particle effects. Every towers just stops attacking, your character no longer do damage and cannot break things to gather, and while you run in circles wondering what's happening, you've already lost. It gets frustrating and makes every run pointless. No matter how good your build is, the game's just going to freeze and you'll die, with no possibilities of avoiding it. I lowered the graphics to the lowest possible, still happening. And I don't think my laptop's the issue.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An extremely unique game, with similarities to a lot of beloved games. Firstly, this game holds a lot of similarities to Vampire Survivors. Or as I've seen other people calling them, bullet heavens. (Cool name btw, wish I thought of it.) You play as a lone defender, keeping a town secure and you gain experience to help build that town up as you wander down a long path filled with monsters as the night slowly creeps toward you. Oh, yeah... and the town moves too. You get various buildings to improve your power, loot and even shoot at the enemies. So, it has some tower defense in there, except you're on the track and so is the tower. You get points that give you various bonuses to make future games easier by increasing various stats. Make the town more beefy, increase the damage of your towers, even increase the damage of you! If you lose a game, you still gain from that loss, so it's not all a complete waste of time. Keep trying, you'll get there with each and every type of town.... Speaking of. Once you get a type of town down to the end of the level, you add that part of town to a huge city. I'm not sure what the benefit is other than looking really cool. There are different characters to play as with their own bonuses. (I like the mayor myself. But I've only unlocked a few) the default one isn't worthless though, as his bonus is quite strong. So your first play should go fairly well! You can eventually ramp up the difficulty and gain even more points to use to upgrade your character. No doubt becoming an absolute deity.... until you up the difficulty again. You can also keep going once you've added a town to the city, in an endless mode. But I found that spiked in difficulty too much for me. Maybe when I've progressed more I can do it again and update this review with info about that. Ultimately, I had a lot of fun with this one. I look forward to trying other characters and towns, as well as different towers. It's a damn good game and a very unique game. I'd also like to thank Second Wind for recommending it on their youtube channel. Without them I'd have never found this absolute gem of a game. Thanks for reading, or skipping to the end. Whether or not you agree with me. Please have a lovely day. <3
Ein absoluter Griff ins Klo. Es bockt schon nach 3h nicht mehr. Immer das gleiche. Gebt das Geld lieber für einen Döner aus , da habt ihr mehr davon.
overall a fun experience with a lot of different viable strategies! I took the time to work up through the challenge ratngs, which while a bit tedious was definitely worthwhile for the unlocks. I just got 100% achievements, and I think the unlocks were really necessary at the higher challenge levels. I still have some of the Nightmare level objectives to finish, which I think I'm going to do at least to get the unlocks. I haven't played a tower defense game in a long time, this was a fun way to ease back into the genre. my biggest complaints seem to be with bugs. one is known (game will crash at higher endless levels just due to the number of things on-screen), but the other is that there's at least one challenge I'm not actually able to complete (Road of Ashes - Hard, Reach the Ark after building at least 9 Farm). my game seems to want me to reach the ark 9 times and between each ark I need to build 9 additional farms which... just doesn't seem correct? and even if it is correct unfortunately for me I guess my PC just isn't able to handle that many assets on-screen at once. it wasn't a required challenge to get 100% achievements though, and it doesn't have an associated unlock, so it didn't interrupt my flow too much to skip. minor complaints include some weird UI choices, and difficulties with tracking buildings in larger cities.
I'd say it's around 6-7/10 right now. It's an ok game at the time of writing this. still feels like early access even though it's surprisingly not lol. My main issues: 1. UI seems nice at first but quickly becomes annoying. Main issues: a. I don't see some of the towers behind towers and can't seem to find an "inspect city" function. b. I still have no idea if I understand correctly what a street and a district is. c. When placing another "adjacency" building I can't inspect the already placed ones. 2. Whatever I do on the map doesn't really feel like a choice somehow. It's a cool idea overall but I feel like it needs some balancing. Like I'm able to get pretty much every chest and witch-hut while gathering a good amount of wood and picking up souls on the way. Kinda feels like it was designed to make you choose what to get and that would be interesting, instead right now it feels like I failed whenever I did not pick something up . Which kinda makes the whole thing linear and dull aside from lvl up rewards. 3. The "deposition" bonuses mechanics are very annoying and hard to play around. Sometimes I'll get random stones stuck on my ass when I'd rather deposit a ton of wood and make my towers shoot another time. It feels like an afterthought mechanic thats just there for the sake of it. 4. I might be mistaken but from the limited time I played: streets feel restrictive and at the same time not rewarding enough. Like if I find a forest building it'd be stupid to place it anywhere other than near another forest. Sometimes you find like 3x at the same time. It's a whole lot of place I need for some weird "wood deposition" bonus? I'm not even sure what it buffs lol because UI. And I don't really see many interesting synergies except for a few very on-the-nose ones. Like sure I want those forests when doing the fuel challange duh. Otherwise it's not very exciting to stack 4 blocks of trees and maybe get some more wood or something in a place where there could be giant fkn cannons you know. Idk, I'm no game designer but I did not feel the BIG impact and it didn't feel fun to get those utility buildings instead of guns. I see the effort put into it and it's a pretty creative idea so I don't really wanna downvote it, the game is fine right now, just not 10\10.
Занимательная игрушка. Можно выбрать разные стратегии. Интересные испытания. Надеюсь на дальнейшее развитие, добавление нового контента. <3
6/10: Fun general gameplay loop, but keeps rolling out the paid DLCs without QOL. If you hit the achievements for a new town hall or weapon or hero, you have to pay meta currency to unlock them. Meanwhile, you have the option to lock and unlock certain buildings in advance of a run... but no way to save loadouts. If you want to do a gold run vs. a minion run, it'll take a while in menus to make that more possible.
Feels repetative very quickly, started getting bored after my third of fourth run. It might be worth it on sale.
