14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

7/10 — Recommended (With Caveats) If you loved the original 2004 Snake Eater, this is a tough one to score. The core game is still an absolute masterpiece. The story is legendary, the creative combat is amazing, and messing with the systems like spinning Snake in the viewer to cure dizziness is still incredibly fun. Plus, the modern shooting controls they added feel fantastic. But playing it today with seasoned eyes and modern gaming hindsight exposes a lot of cracks. Because it's a strict 1-to-1 remake, the pacing feels super dated. The tiny, segmented PS2 era jungle zones constantly break up the flow, and fights like the Volgin gauntlet drag out for 5 exhausting phases that feel like a massive slog now. Worse though, switching to Unreal Engine 5 completely stripped away the game's original artistic charm. The 2004 game looked like a gritty, sweat-soaked Cold War spy flick, washed in a heavy, stylized yellowish-green filter that made the jungle feel humid and dangerous. The remake throws that moodiness out the window for "perfect" lighting, making it look like a crisp, sunny walk through a local state park. Forcing old animations onto photorealistic faces feel off now than charming, it still manages that fun tho also even the iconic final fight with The Boss completely loses its magic because the realistic graphics turn a poetic field into something else that doesn't feel like the grand battle it used too its less memorable. It proves that art direction will always beat high resolution. Moving forward, anything older than MGS3 is going to need a full Resident Evil 4-style reimagining to actually work today. But honestly? I don't even trust Konami to try a full reimagining of a Metal Gear game without Hideo Kojima at the wheel. It’s worth playing for the upgraded gunplay, but this 1-to-1 graphical facelift is a major double-edged sword IMO

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Gráficos atualizados, porém mantendo a mesma jogabilidade do original. Nota: 8/10
It pains me to rate this negatively since you'll all see I poured in a good amount of time playing the game in both Normal and Legacy modes but I need to. Since it's a faithful remake, there's nothing else I can praise on the core gameplay that hasn't been said before in the past 20 years. The QOL improvements and graphics is something I can praise currently, even including the Snake vs Monkey mode. In my eyes, MGS3 was perfection. However I still have to not recommend this for now since it's still a badly optimized game and priced absurdly. The UE5 choice was bad enough but not expanding on the graphics option was very questionable. Even gamers with good rigs still have problems running this game, so much that modders came to the rescue again just to deliver a stable experience. The time and effort on implementing Fox Hunt, which is essentially a dead online mode now could've gone more to optimization. Really disappointing. As much as I love MGS3, I cannot in good faith recommend a game that relies so much on outside configurations and fixes just to work properly.
Jerking themselves off about building it in unreal engine 5 and then having everything locked to 60 fps while charging a ridiculous price is absolutely criminal for a pc game in this age, it looks and feels awful playing on a 360 hz OLED even with Gsync, add in the fact you have to setup shaders every single time the game is booted up makes this a permanent negative review. The solution to the terrible frame rate is to go into nvidia app and enable smooth motion, this completely fixes the issue and makes the game actually look and feel good to play, you're still stuck wasting a few minutes on shader setup every time you start the game though. Actually just going to refund it, the constant shader installation and having to press two separate buttons every time i want to aim in first person is just too tedious for a game of this price tag.

kojimbo games always are bordeline genius. they share that border with absolute unhinged insanity. not a complaint lol.
