Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 55/day in the week to Aug 28 → 71.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

【STORY】
THE ILLUSION OF PEACE FALTERS
In 1964, after saving the world from all-out nuclear war, Naked Snake, a true hero, receives the name Big Boss, but he disappears shortly after the naming ceremony.
Ten years later, Big Boss is running an independent military unit in Columbia, when he is visited by two individuals from Costa Rica, a country without a military.
In a post-Cuban Missile Crisis world, and in a Central America essential to maintaining the power balance between East and West, Costa Rica has been miraculously able to maintain peace.
However, a mysterious armed group has been seen acting suspiciously throughout the region.
They request Big Boss to investigate and eliminate the armed group.
Though he hesitates to accept the request because the tape they brought contained the voice of The Boss, who was supposed to be dead.

Keyboard and mouse controls are completely broken. Please fix ASAP
unplayable with mouse and keyboard, and i don't see why i have to tweak seetings or look for workarounds just to play the game when MGS4 works perfectly.

If you're using a controller, you should be fine then. Game works fine on my end. Mainly bought the collection for Peace Walker. Great then, great now.
Peak Walker
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is one of the greatest PSP games released. While there are a lot of missions and side-ops, their brevity as well as the ease of them make for a quick and relaxing experience. Compared to the previous Metal Gear games, the story is not the best, but it is still interesting and sets up the plot for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. I also think the previous mainline Metal Gear Solid games are far better than Peace Walker to even compare, but for MGSV, I think there are a decent amount that Peace Walker does better, especially story-wise, as it is more prominent than V and adds more to the overall series lore. While the gameplay is simple and held back by being originally released on the PSP, I thought the boss battles were more interesting. The side-ops even had more variety, and it was fun to actually build and upgrade a metal gear. The music is also memorable, and the soundtrack contains a few of my favourite tracks in the entire series. Performance-wise, I haven't run into any issues. It also runs flawlessly on my Steam Deck. I just wish the graphics were a bit better since some things are still pixelated and clearly low resolution. The mouse controls could have been implemented better, but it was not a big deal for me since I planned to play on a controller anyway. I know a lot of new fans tend to start at MGSV, so I recommend people try playing MGS3 and then Peace Walker before MGSV since it is a direct sequel (Or better yet, the entire series at least from MGS1, if not MG1&2).
Basically mgs v before mgs v. Except it has a complete story to tell.
I wanted to enjoy this game so much, and while I did have fun with what little I could play, it crashed way too many times in one sitting for me to enjoy it. It crashed after I would complete the tutorial. I was able to skip the tutorial once and move onto some actual gameplay, and then it crashed again and I couldn't get past the tutorial anymore, even if I skipped it. I want to enjoy and have fun with this game but it's currently unplayable for me.
First time playing, definitely bite-sized in design, would recommend if you have a Steam Deck or something similar. I would kind of rather play MGS3 or V, this feels like a mix between the two with super short missions.
