METAL GEAR SOLID: Peace Walker - Master Collection Version

[h1] It's been 16 years, was the wait worth it? "Not really no" But it's here regardless! [/h1] The game itself is fine, however.. This port is a dumpster fire. Mainly because it's just the Xbox 360 version with very few changes out of the box. You'll notice this quite a lot where the game goes from a stable 60, all the way down to 20-15fps for about 2 seconds before jumping back up to 60. It seems to mainly be caused via active combat. And the graphics.. Oh, where do I even begin? The jump from 480p 20-25 fps to 720p 30-35 fps back in the early 2010's might've worked once, but trying 720p (upscaled to 1080p 60fps [b]minimum[/b]) is rough.. And that's putting it lightly. There's times where you genuinely cant tell what you're looking at, because it gets so muddy. Honestly those few issues pale in comparison to whatever dumbass thought it would be a good idea not to clamp QTE's to the FPS in the slightest. "Playing over 30 fps? like every single bit of hardware made post 2010?" If you're lucky it'll cap at 60 and that just mean's you've gotta be twice as fast with those frame perfect inputs then! :^) However.. If you're unlucky enough to go past 60 FPS. Enjoy every QTE being not only impossible, but you cant finish the game either! (Iykyk) Anyways.. Screw any fixes or "patches" ppl tell you to use. Just go download CheatEngine and force the game to run at x0.5 speed (Crazy that this is such a major oversight, a blunder on par with the PC launch of GTA IV) [h1] TL;DR Good game, Bad port [/h1]

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a really special game, and having pretty much all of the MGS games in the volume collection is a real treat. If you haven't played Peace Walker, its almost like an introduction to what Phantom Pain would become. Staffing Motherbase, R&D, Selecting Missions, that kind of thing. The gameplay loop becomes incredibly addictive. This is just the HD Version now ported to the master collection. Runs great 4K & 60FPS.

An amazing game and pretty damn good port.... except for the weird online issues... If you're gonna play with friends it's worth checking at the top right if the lobby type is the same as the host, cause if yours says global and theirs says private, you're gonna fail to start the match, so leave the lobby and then rejoin and hope it's correct aside that run-in, I've loved replaying this gem

A literal port with the added bonus of bugs that weren't on the ps3/xbox 360 hd version. Save your money and play it on xenia or rpcs3, it looks better , plays better and doesn't have the new bugs and issues.
