⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The City-Builder I’ve Been Waiting For! I have spent countless hours in the city-building genre, but Kingdoms Reborn is easily one of my favorites in years. It takes the best elements of classics like Banished and Anno, then elevates them with unique mechanics that make every playthrough feel different. What Makes It Stand Out: The Card System: I was skeptical at first, but the deck-building mechanic is brilliant. It prevents the "optimal build order" fatigue found in other games and forces you to adapt your strategy based on what you draw. Massive Open World: The scale is incredible. Being able to see other civilizations on a seamless map—and eventually trade or compete with them—adds a layer of immersion that most survival builders lack. Multilayered Progression: Moving from a tiny tribe to a sprawling industrial empire feels earned. The tech tree is satisfying, and the era transitions are beautifully handled. Co-op & Multiplayer: Playing this with friends is a game-changer. Whether we are helping each other survive a harsh winter or competing for resources, the multiplayer is smooth and adds a whole new dimension to the gameplay. The Verdict The developer is incredibly active, the art style is charming, and the music is the perfect backdrop for a long gaming session. If you love managing resources, optimizing supply chains, and watching a civilization thrive, do not skip this one.

I had high hopes for this game but after years of minimal updates I don't think it's ever going to be 'finished'. You can have some fun here, and the price is fair, but the replayability factor is low for the genera. I really think they were on to something and I hope I'm wrong about the game being left to wither.
It's very fun, but it's also designed to be the ultimate time suck, and not in a great way. This is the reason for the non-recommendation. Additionally, the game has a built in limiter to how large your city can become to force you to use outposts, which is just you playing the first half of the game over again at the same time as playing the original. It isn't fun, it's annoying. It's a good game overall, but I cannot recommend this to anyone who is an actual adult. Your time is better spent elsewhere. Currently you can only 4x speed the game, and believe me, 8x and 16x are desperately needed.
The game play is very engaging especially playing with friends but lacks interactions with other players including AI, I was hoping the was some sort of advanced trading deals that can be made between players/AI apart from the existing once-off gifting. The game also becomes very difficult to manage when the town grows, I found it easier to manage multiple separate towns than a single very large town due to the game treating these towns as independent units (separate population, resources, etc) with the ability to trade between them. I wish there was a way at the very least to label separate areas or provinces of a large town to easily identify the specialisation I have chosen for the area and the ability to view resources, population, etc per province or labelled area including defining moving of resources and limits per area.
The seven-province cap, minimal tutorial, and the micromanaging are deal breakers. I want to play a game not work a job. Also, the cards are completely unnecessary.
Frechheit - wie kann dieses Spiel noch immer im EA sein? Kohle abgezogen und aufgehört zu entwickeln. Sowas gehört verklagt!
The dutchy still sucks. Honestly its like the dev is exclusively making the game for the try hard sweat lords in discord. 1 year and the only update was a new map type that nerfs farming and buffs disease.
