Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.57/day in the week to Aug 7 → 9.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I loved it, at least for the 60-70% of the playtime I have in this game. It was cozy, charming. I learnt about books, and I was able to recommend books. The characters you meet in the fictional coastal village of Bookstonbury are all very sweet and you help them with their worries, and celebrate endings and beginnings with them. You go through all four seasons, there several hotspots to sell books, and tons of items you can decorate your tiny bookshop with to help you sell more books, etc. But the closer I got to completion of the game I got burnt out. It started to become less fun. I had so many items and upgrades that I could sell anything anywhere, but the customers felt slow in their browsing of books (wish there was a way to increase the speed here, x2 would be nice, or even more.), and near the end their wishes just made no sense to me. Customer wanted a book that had X and Y and Z (themes, etc), I couldn't find any books matching all three so I recommended a book that had X and Z, but then they complained about the lack of Y. Other times the same thing worked, so I couldn't make sense of it. But all in all I would say I am happy with the experience, I am glad I played through it, but if you are a completionist you better have a lot of patience for the slow gameplay. Edit: After thinking more about this game there is another thing I would love to see changed, and it's the sizing of the books in comparison to their real life amount of pages. Trying to find a book with 700-1000 pages for someone that wants a long read would be way more pleasant if I could judge the length based on book size, because having the biggest book being the 44-pager and the thinnest little thing being a 600 page epic make little to no sense.
Tiny Bookshop is a very good managment game where you have to sell differents various books to customers in differents areas. You also can customize and add some decorations to your shop. I really like the fact that game offer lots of freedom to go where I want. The story is very good, the designs are nice and the soundtrack is very chill. I highly recommend it! 📖💗
Cosy management games are right up my alley and I really thought I would like this one. There's nothing to manage though, the bookstore basically runs itself and you just stare at the screen waiting for an NPC to ask you for a book recommendation. The characters are not very likeable. I started recommending them books they hate just for fun. There seems to be no penalty for doing so. This whole game is so low stakes it's hard to get invested.
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but you actually have to know a lot of books and be an avid reader to play this game. The book recommendations minigame will give you a description like, "I loved The Ginger Tree, and I enjoy poetry". You then have to choose the correct book given a title and very short description of the book. Really you have to actually know the book you're recommending, otherwise it's hopeless. What the heck is The Ginger Tree??? What is Lady Audley's Secret??? Does it have poetry??? 30 minutes in, a kid walks up to me and tells me I'm terrible at my job. And the worst part is, they're right. I have nobody to blame but myself. Anyway, this system is really cool and I think lots of people will love it, but I'm too dumb, ignorant, and unread for this game. Just an FYI for others like me. I'll recommend it even if it didn't work out for me.
This was very cute and fun. The quests give enough of a dopamine loop to keep you coming back till you finished, and it was nice to 100% without being too grindy. My only advice to any achievement hunters would be to not wait till the end to start getting the book sale achievements (or you'll have to get through a lot of extra days waiting for the right event/season.) A skipping days function would have been nice to prevent that small grind, but overall a solid game!
