Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.57/day in the week to Aug 7 → 9.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

My first impression was; what a quaint, adorable and addictive little game. The gameplay loop is addictive, albeit slow paced, which is by no means a bad thing. As I progressed, it became obvious that this game was less about building a cute little bookshop and more about modern ideologies. One review of a book that was released in 1939 was, I kid you not; “ The most heteronormatively masculine, "hard-boiled", noir detective story you'll ever read. In which PI Philip Marlowe uncovers a criminal plot and seduces "damsels" left and right.” 60% of the books you can stock are about queer representation. I’m amazed the designer included books by Poe. Wait until they find out what he called his cat. I’d really enjoy the game far more if I could remove myself from gender ideologies and representation that the real world bombards me with.

Cozy and fun game. My first session in this game was almost 4 hours and I couldnt really put it down, because I was so hooked on it, the second session was just about an hour and then I got tired quickly of the game, because I also had uncovered all residents and most areas already. It eventually is very repetetive and there isnt that much to do, besides prep work for selling days and then finding recommendation, which can be wonky at times. I wish there was more interaction with the maincharacter, like an apartment to fix or just some backstory. Still it is a well-done game. I find it a bit pricy, but it's very indie, so I guess I recommend it fullprice.
Wanted to 100% the game before reviewing but honestly have loved it since the start! Tiny Bookshop is for all the booklovers and avid readers out there who want something fun and simple. The book recommendation mini-game is a real treat, especially when your favourite book gets accepted (I will shove Les Miserables + Witcher into every semi-relevant request!!!) The design is so, so delightful and reinforces the enjoyability of the gameplay, the characters are adorable and the story is incredibly well-paced though it took some trial and error to figure out how some of them get started. All in all, I love this game and am gonna keep playing! Also shout out to the devs who responded to my 'bug report' that was mostly just me not triggering an event properly, TYSM!!! If there ever was a place to put a wishlist for late-game: - More stuff to buy, or some crazy vanity 10,000g item - More books to recommend!!! - Anything honestly, love this game, can't wait to visit the island or something <3 <3 <3
The game itself is really nice and it's easy to tell it was made with love. No hate towards the developers, I'm sure there are thousands who enjoy this type of game. For me it was too slow and there wasn't much to do during the day while waiting for customers to buy books. It felt like I was waiting for the day to end and then at the end of it, restock my books. It got a little repetitive and I wish the story was more interactive or exciting.
For being a cozy game, it's incredibly frustrating trying to get more shelves for the books! I'm about 8 hours in, and I'm still stuck with the basic bookcase and storage box. It's also a little annoying that the same items in the newspaper are shown until you buy them. I wish new items were shown either every day or every week, that way I can buy items I actually want. Other than that, I still adore this game! I love, LOVE that the books are REAL books, and I did the Leo DiCaprio pointing meme at my own screen when I saw books I recognized. I even found books that I want to read from this game as well, so that's incredibly cool! This goes into the recommendation mechanic in the game, where you have to look at the book descriptions and genres in order to recommend the right book to a customer. While I do wish there were options for colors, it's still great that you paint pretty much any item to match whatever color scheme you like. I'm going for a Halloween themed all year round wagon! I also love the characters, the art style, and ambience. There's just something so relaxing about heading the the cafe on a rainy day. I've also seen video of mysteries you can work through in this game, which is not only fun, but adds even more story and character development! They could've done a simple bookseller simulator, and I still would've been happy, but the devs went above and beyond to make a lived in world that you can explore. Other than some frustrations, I still found myself returning to this game and awaiting someone to ask for a book just so I can look at the titles myself. My free time and TBR hate to see this game coming lol
So maybe it's just because I considered being a librarian when I was in high school, but I absolutely adore this game so far. Every time I recommend a good book to one of the characters I just feel so happy and excited. Not only that, but it's clear that the creators really love books because they've written little descriptions for so many real books out there and obviously put in so much care. But first I was writing down the names of books that this made me want to read, but I've started just taking screenshots to remember the titles because there's so many. If a game can recommend you books, then that's a good game in my book. It's adorable, relaxing, and I feel like the only creatures on Earth who would have a complaint about it are my cats who get mad when I squeak too loudly over my excitement when I recommend the right book.
I installed this cozy book management game yesterday before I had dinner. It is currently 9:00am the next day. I have yet to sleep. If you need an excuse besides "not tonight, I have a headache." This is the game for you.
This game is impossible to enjoy, it feels so moralizing, forced and lecturing. I also found it boring and too slow paced, the unskippable scenes are irritating. The irony is that I found it under the "Capitalism" tag.
