About

World War One expands to the mountains of the Italian Front - beautiful but deadly in equal measure. Take part in key offensives of the Great War, from the Sixth Battle of the Isonzo to the Strafexpedition, and lead your team to victory among the scenic landscapes and peaks of Northern Italy.
Isonzo is a realistic tactical multiplayer FPS crafted by BlackMill Games, known for their critically acclaimed authentic WW1 wargames such as Verdun and Tannenberg. Immerse yourself in faithful recreations of historical battles with intense 48-player matches, testing your tactical skills and mastery of Alpine warfare.

Decide your path to victory: whether you’re leading the offensive with grenades or using mountain trails to flank enemy positions, you have options. Dive into combat or take a supporting role cutting barbed wire and crewing heavy machine guns and mortars. Thanks to a unique flare gun system, mark targets for artillery strikes or biplane flybys, before charging in to finish the job at close quarters with bayonets or trench clubs.

Choose from six distinct classes and build your loadout from a selection of 50+ iconic WW1 weapons, along with historically accurate equipment and perks specific to each class. Play as a Marksman to pick off soldiers from afar, storm enemy lines with the Assault class, issue tactical orders as an Officer, and much more.

After choosing a class, make it your own by picking from a large variety of role-appropriate uniforms, accessories and headgear. As a finishing touch, you can even pick your mustache from several famous wartime styles!

From hillside fortresses to mountain trenches and city streets, fight through varied Alpine landscapes inspired by historical battles. Learn the lay of the land to maintain cover and surprise your enemies - or go a step further to shape a dynamic battlefield by placing sandbags, barbed wire and ammo crates. Trench periscopes and sniper shields offer even more tactical options, but beware of poisonous gas attacks and artillery barrages!

Taking inspiration from the years-long struggle for control of the Alps during World War One, Isonzo brings the authenticity of the conflict to all players. Everything is recreated based on research and field trips, from sound effects, weapons and uniforms down to the houses, vineyards and trenches you’ll be fighting over. Choose your side and immerse yourself in History!

Enlist for more First World War action with the other standalone titles in the WW1 Game Series: Gallipoli, Tannenberg and Verdun. Engage in expeditionary warfare on the Middle Eastern Front with Gallipoli, maneuver for control of key sectors in Tannenberg on the Eastern Front OR Dive into the trenches along the Western Front in Verdun. Choose from a range of squads from across the war, as they fight for control of the ever-changing frontlines.

As a fan of Verdun, this is really not for me. I was hoping for more trench warfare, instead I got a battlefield wannabe. Sad.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

After trying this game at the recommendation of a friend who has long praised the game I'm a bit shocked this game isn't more popular especially with the recent discounts. Even given its age of 4 years and the new Gallipoli title imminent I found this game to be a significant improvement to other similar titles (in terms of intended audience) such as (Holdfast and Over the Top). On discount this game is well worth a try and everything from the gunplay, to class system, to being spawnkilled across the map feels right. This product is extremely well optimized in it's current state however I'd love to see a push for higher server capacity in the future as I find the 48 players (24 each side) to be a major limiting factor on my immersion into the title. Even scaling up to 64 players I feel would greatly improve the immersion and chaos in the game as can be found in aforementioned similar titles; I feel the scale of battles largely contributes to the games overall atmosphere. All that said at $5.99 I found this product well worth the price tag and look forward to seeing what this studio does with Gallipoli.
great game looking forward to the next one keep up the good work
I bought this game because I loved Tannenberg. This game isn't much like Tannenberg. The leveling, weapon handling, gamemodes, and play style is much different. Not to say it's worse per se, but it is for me. Take this all with a grain of salt because I bet I play it differently than intended. I enjoy playing solo, not multiplayer. Doing that on Tannenberg was quite well rounded, but in this game the A.I. doesn't give ammo and that's the only way to get ammo unless you yourself plays as the class that can give ammo because there isn't an ammo box on objectives like in Tannenberg. The new gamemode of one side attacking and the other defending is interesting, but I feel is not fully balanced. I've played countless matches, not once has the attacking team ever won. The defenders by default have a vast advantage, which sure is realistic but not enjoyable when on the attacking team. The new way to call in artillery, gas, and air cover is again interesting but annoying a good amount of the time, especially with the lack of ammo replenishment. The time it takes for some call ins feel like they take an entire match. Maybe the developers got feedback that the basic timer system of Tannenberg was bad? idk. Do I like this game? yes, but I feel like it's not fully realized
