Great Game IMO, sad that we wont be getting any updates soon.
I really like the look of the game the movement and the melee combat are also very cool, the enemies are fun and some of the bosses are challenging. The gun play is a little lackluster, ammo is minimal so only a few guns get to shine and only if they have the right element attuned to them. I also find going up certain hills and not being able to swim kinda annoying. In the future i hope the add a mode where you can battle and search for weapon and gear blueprints that you keep as long as you extract with them so i can spend hours buildcrafting and enter a cycle with gear and armor of my choice, and if I lose it i have to search for the parts again to rebuild, and finally I hope they add unique weapons, different biomes and fast travel, not to specific spots but to different biomes. As the game stand right now its a 7.5 outta 10 with tons of potential

Early Access Review: I can see the vision. There's so many parts of so many excellent games shaken up in a bag with enough unique vision to make it worthwhile; I see nods to Breath of the Wild, Nier:Automata, and Elden Ring in the combat and approach to exploration, I see Destiny in the emergent gameplay, and I enjoy the building out a character with random perks like excellent games like Wildermyth and Risk of Rain. All of that with the core of the Hyper Light; fun and tight movement and controls with flashy, punchy combat. It's good, and I would recommend it!... ...WITH THE CAVEAT that this is Early Access. There are some funny bugs already have noticed, and on the whole, I think conveyance in the UI and copy could be better. I also think a lot of game-feel improvements will help to make this game shine; a short animation of the ramen guy ladling up some soup would do WONDERS for fun immersion, for example. In the end, it's excellent, even better with friends, but curb your expectations.
I dont like the gameplay. I want to parry enemies but they do that thing where they raise their hand and pause for a while before striking you. If you wait its a fast hit and if you parry its a delayed hit. So annoying. The guns feel terrible and weak. I try to aim and my character blocks my view. Its just not fun. Fights are ganks where your health gets whittled away and theres only one healing potion. Then you die and you cant upgrade anything and have start again. Its a waste of time.
Sorry, aber dieses Spiel ist einfach dumm. Ich wollte es nicht direkt sagen, aber es wirft dich in ein Spiel, erklärt dir die Steuerung und dann? Mach mal! Mal kurz was ich daran mochte: - Die Charaktere sahen cool aus Was ich nicht daran mochte: - Steuerung - Schwierigkeit - Keine Erklärung was ich da eigentlich tue - Parieren Ich beurteile das Spiel nicht danach was andere erhofft haben, ich beurteile es danach was zum Geier es sein will. Zelda? Risk of Rain? Genshin? Verwirrt mich total!
Game has been great so far. Updates are common and the devs look really invested on making as good as possible.

The start is not "intuitive" which is one of the reasons why I liked it, you have to figure it out, once you do its a good early-access version that's apparently getting constant updates. Having no struggle with controls except for parry (bit inconsistent). Loved Drifter which was a pretty random story, I feel this keeps the vibe.
Fun rogue like.
The initial release was pretty rough but i personally liked it. I will say however the current version is way better and more fun and balanced. Its not your traditional roguelike/lite but it is still in that theme. It does start out quite difficult but once you get used to it its very fun. The boss fights are amazing. The open area combat is quick and fun and doesnt feel to challenging unless multiple different groups show up at once or several shield enemies spawn. All the weapons are fun to use but a few feel underpowered, primarily the giants needle skill blade. The rails feel good to use and the synergies you can get from certain holobytes are crazy fun and strong. Would recommend to people who like roguelike/lites and like hard games. There is a bit of a grind though but its not too bad. Also all of the updates have made it even better so the longer its out the better itll get. The only bad part so far is that they patched out the lobby out of bounds glitch :(
