No further updates... really sad to see an indie studio struggling, but if you promise something you need to see it through.
It's called Hyper Light Breaker because that's what they did to my heart.
Played this from day 1. Was surprised by how little progress I made. Stuck with it, and clawed my way through it. With some updates, it seemed to get a little more manageable, but the improvements were sort of superficial to an unforgiving game. I suspect my issue is that I never played coop. It has the charm of Hyper Light Drifter, I enjoy the use of symbols and the onus it pus on the player to figure things out. I am baffled that it didn't quite click. It had great art, fluid combat, and interesting enemy types. But now it goes gentle into that good night.

Ma déception est incommensurable.
this game was doomed from the moment they decided it'd be a roguelike with all that procedurally generated garbage
Loving it. Universe is great. Gameplay is smooth. Having fun. //EDIT: Kept playing and now I'm close to 30 hours in. Game only became more fun. There's some really fun builds and I'm slowly getting better and have also unlocked a decent amount of the upgrades. Movement is really great and really liking the combat, too. The parry system I find a little iffy and I still suck at parrying but guess I'll eventually get the hang :)
nah
Even tho currently the content feel like it's lacking the overall gameplay is enjoyable for me, not too complex but also not too simple, I really really like how extracting currently works (get all heals back and get the chance to upgrade your gear but the overworld will be harder). However I do understand people's frustrations when they expected a game more similar to Drifter. Characters are fun, some weapons could do with some tweaks since in general I just find faster weapons greatly outperforming the slow but supossedly heavy hitting ones. Unlocking upgrades could be a bit faster tho, even tho they're not necessary at all to complete the game it does feel kinda slow considering how long runs can be. Maybe the map could become a bit smaller so runs are shorter but more action packed. Really looking forward for what else the game has to offer.
