Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Man...I was really enjoying the first couple hours of this game. Think Far Cry, but set in inner city USA. The guns were pretty limited, but the ones they do have feel good except for the recoil. What killed it for me what going into the second zone (yellow) where you were literally playing hide and seek through the whole zone. You can't just shoot enemies and move on...nope. You gotta use diversions and hide, sneaking around. If you get into a firefight, you just have to run and hide or enemies will spawn endlessly until you're dead. What the hell kind of stupid...? And the lack of fire modes was a huge miss. You had to use a hair trigger to maintain control of automatic weapons because the recoil (even upgraded) was so ridiculous. Even the SMG recoil felt like you were shooting a .50 cal MG.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

We love TIme Splitters 2 Remix. Not Homefront Revolution though. Ewie growdy icky wikkie.
Just... go play some other Farcry clone. Mid at best.
Barely a thumbs up. Let me explain. First off, if you're after some decent pew-pews against the bad guys with a rebel streak, you could do a lot worse. It's a fun shooter. But having recently replayed the MachineGames "Wolfenstein" franchise, Homefront doesn't quite get there in the narrative execution. It's closest to "Wolfenstein: Youngblood" -- both have a whole weapon and character upgrade system, and both feature fewer, but larger maps than typical FPS shooters with each broken down into various missions. Where Homefront fails, and Youngblood exceeds is that the latter has a much more engaging, and better executed story, with charismatic protagonists. Homefront: The Revolution's main character is almost completely generic, with no real personality outside of how NPCs interact with him. I can't help but wonder if the game was intended to have a character creation screen that got cut early on. It would certainly explain it. The story, involving a 'humanitarian' takeover of the US by a fascist, technologically advanced North Korea has some interesting notes, admittedly. It just rarely ever feels engrossing, teasing a much more interesting story that always feels just out of reach. Graphically, the game is gorgeous. As good as many of the AAA games in 2016. Especially worth noting are the dead, haunting areas of the city, gassed by the "Norks" in an early rebellion shutdown. Unfortunately the real bummer of the game is the whole upgrade system and the "convertible" weapons. It's bizarre: imagine converting a pistol into a submachine gun. Or a flamethrower into a crossbow. A shotgun into a limpet launcher? So you have all these weapons tied into multiple sub-groups that can convert into each other. And you can only pick two "groups". You're forced to keep the pistol/smg. It becomes a bummer: I'd have loved to play with the flamethrower more, but it's entirely impractical NOT to have the overpowered rocket launcher. And the other slot really HAS to have the sniper/battle rifle. It's the two most useful weapons. The rest, I dunno under what circumstances I'd be able to enjoy them without forcing it -- and dying a lot. The whole game you're scavenging ♥♥♥♥ out of dead computers and other trash, and you get money for them -- but it comes in drips and drabs. I got so frustrated that I ended up CHEATING and buying out the entire inventory and the upgrades... and honestly I didn't feel that much more powerful. Why even bother? So the game is a mixed bag. I do, ultimately, enjoy it. But it's got some pretty big issues. Ones that, if addressed, could greatly increase the enjoyability of it. Yet it's not enough to completely sour the experience. It just frustrates it.
