Half Life is a genre defining experience, just playing it will tell you that. This game was the first real FPS that actually used invironmental storytelling in an authentic and visceral way that it became the standard for what a story driven fps could be. Half Life is one of those games that every video game enjoyer MUST play at least once in their lives. The level design in this game has aged brilliantly, and combat still remains satisfying to this day. Not only that but the story is very well handled and is done effectively through the show don't tell technique. I strongly recommend this game to a somewhat, mostly biased degree. Play it, you will not regret it.
