The quality of this game is far above the $13 asking price. Very high polish, fun and engaging game mechanics, satisfying combat, eye-pleasing graphics, and devs who are committed post-launch to improving the game via their 2026 roadmap. Definitely worth $13 and your time. It's called Grind Survivors for a reason, but not necessarily what you may be led to believe by negative reviews. The grind is in farming guns to use to upgrade other guns or use as currency for affix re-rolls. Then you have various meta upgrades on top of this. This game loop capitalizes on the fun of grinding power progression with meaning impact that avoids the trope of 1 DPS -> 1.1 DPS via 60 minutes of farming! Woo! Yea -- no -- this game doesn't do that. Upgrades are helpful. +Great meta progression +Lots of meta options +A handful of resources to grind to invest in meta upgrades, gear upgrades, etc +Tesla gun makes me feel like Emperor Palpatine +Pleasing graphics +Dash mechanic +Mechanics on the maps to interact with for buffs +Upgrades take inspiration from 20 Minutes to Die offering some insane synergies and power scaling +Affix modification of gear +Gear upgrade +Various 'manufacturers' or traits of guns that directly affect their performance (ie. High dmg, small magazine style or very fast RPM with huge magazines, moderate dmg) that you can further modify +RPG style gear tiers (white -> blue -> Green -> Purple -> Legendary/orange) +Outstanding filter options to work with the heaps of gear you're going to get +Game is difficult the higher you go +Equipable runes with huge buffs or gameplay effects with weighted cost +Lots of RPG like stats to tweak with via your guns and how you upgrade them +Great balance between various game mechanics that strengthens player agency in power scaling. Such as gun types, their affixes or traits, gun upgrades, meta upgrades, and the in-game upgrades for both their innate power as well as their potential synergy boosts. +/-You will be showered with guns to do with as you please. You can combine 5 of similar trait and type to move it up a gear tier (purple to legendary). Or you can melt (convert) them to currencies to upgrade gear elsewhere. The flexibility is great, but it can feel cumbersome to work through depending on what you're trying to do. At least I can filter trash or unwanted gear into currency. You won't get the classic OOOO or AAAH! factor when a purple drops during a run +/-Not much identity between the various classes other than their active ability -AOE indicators are inaccurate. This is the only game i've played that uses (IMO really misuses) red circles for imminent AOE impact differently than every other game I've played. Normally a hollow red circle outline indicates where dmg is about to hit. Then the circle will fill up solid to indicate the timing. As you progress further in the game this will be critical as more enemies will have explosive AOE that cannot be prevented -- only avoided. As the circle fills, the damage doesnt happent until the animation of an explosion actually catches up. It's very counter-intuitive and I have to forcibly remind myself how to interact with it along with the million other things you're doing. It's very confusing until you figure it out and then it just becomes an annoyance. -Boss fights are artificially difficult creating a heavily unfair fight. You're going to be constrained to a small area to fight a very large boss with very large AOEs with a very high attack cadence while you're limited to 1 dash with a moderate cooldown thats not quick enough to continually dodge the boss while also still being swarmed by enemies. This would be more fun and fair to the player if the box constraint was much, much larger or non-existent. -I'm about 7 hours in and still on the initial map and its become quite boring especially knowing there are other maps to unlock. However, you can't unlock the maps until you beat all the difficulties of the previous map and that is quite difficult to do and feels cumbersome. I know the game is grind survivors, but that should be focused on gear or player power progression - not limiting access to maps that you wont want to play after you grinded 10+ hours to unlock 1 of several. Maybe a skill issue on my part.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Newest update tanked fps, went from 230 odd to 80 or less with fast decreases. Wait for a fix. Otherwise its fun when it works Will update this review when its fixed.
I absolutely love the art-style and the music! It's so gritty and the tracks go so hard. I haven't been able to go a longer than 2 days without wanting to play this game. Love it! 10/10
I understand that the title says it all but the grind and difficulty spiking in this game is actually ridiculous. Jumping from tier 1 to 2 difficulty goes from tediously easy to impossible. Swarms just go from grunts to kamikaze and ranged enemies filling the screen. It's not fun. The upgrades don't make a difference. I have 6 legendary weapons and they don't alter the power fantasy in any way. The game needs balancing on an astounding level
I like it. It could be even better if we had more gear to grind, not only the weapons.. also more maps/gamemods but i dont think is gonna get this kind of updates anymore...
Descent game, great replayability Good value for money
