Grey Goo

Really interesting RTS - combining elements of: * classic C&C * StarCraft2 building upgrade systems * Total Annihilation resource i/o balancing . I only played the campaigns, solid ( though slightly cliche ) story, nice to see some serious CGI cutscenes that kept you engaged between missions. 16hrs to complete all missions + side objectives on hard mode :) Recommend

Comprei pela campanha, e não me decepcionei. A história é meio fraca, mas fica mais interessante pro final. A campanha em si é ótima. Não é no nível de Warcraft 3 ou Starcraft 2, mas é muito boa ainda assim. O Goo é uma das facções mais interessantes que eu já vi em um RTS, e vale o jogo só por ela. Os humanos e Beta, contudo, são muito parecidos e meio desinteressantes.

Strategico in tempo reale carino 7/10 secondo me non regge con Starcraft2 ma è comunque valido Aspetti positivi: Visivamente parlando è molto godevole, divertenti le varie razze, e buon comparto audio Aspetti negativi: Partite molto lente con poche possibilità di strategia, se trovi qualcuno contro cui giocare è perchè stai sognando, bug delle IA (ho giocato contro 2 IA a difficoltà Molto difficile e una delle 2 non faceva letteralmente nulla), unità super troppo e dico davvero troppo lente a costruirsi. Tutto sommato è un gioco godevole e lo consiglio se lo trovate in sconto su steam o su i vari siti che vendono le key, ma personalmente non credo valga 30€ (considerando che ad esempio starcraft2 è possibile giocarlo gratuitamente)

Everything with the game itself is fine, it runs nicely and plays without stutter. But why am I telling you this? Because I give it a thumbs up, because it isnt bad, but it isnt exactly well ether. If there was an "in the middle" thumb on steam, Grey Goo would be the perfect game, as it feels like another semi-experimental Petroglyph RTS, with 3 factions, one high tech, one rugged and down to earth, and one exotic and strange. Add in the 4th race, that is feeling like it is 50% done, and you are all set for a not so much standard but over all rather tame RTS. Some things could be better, and I the name sake, the "Grey Goo" are all but lackluster in their play, still the game has some nicew twists on the typicall RTS formular, with the humans confined to a single base with a power grid, the Beta having field posts with different amount of nodes and the Goo just using themselves for a base. The Campaign is decent, but predicatble, so dont wait for a big Blockbuster. After all, it is nother a bad nor a good game, it is just average RTS.
