Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

The game does have a few bugs but overall its still fun
I have tried to play this game for around 10 hours and still have difficulty in playing. Took the overly complex tutorials for 2 of the hours and still have difficulty in playing. I just wanted to play a strategy game to relax not run an entire government and war. Way to complex for me. The game needs more options to automanage.

Bought the game and the DLC and it's not bad, but not great either. Battles are long and very similar to one another. Management is a bit tedious. I've had much more fun with Ultimate General to be fair for half the price (when you count the DLC).
骑兵连,进攻!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing civil war. Has it's glitched that annoys me. Says different unit names when I play on the other side. Idk why but in general game is great. just need lots of patches
THE BEST CIVIL WAR GAME ON THE MARKET! So when it comes to Civil War games, there aren't a lot. War of Rights is a good fps game but for strategy games this is the best. I personally haven't played any of the other games and have only played through this game for one campaign as the Confederacy and one of the ways you can is if Lincoln doesn't win the 1864 election which is really cool. Don't give up as soon as they break through your lines and take a few cities because you can still come back and win. If I had anything bad to say about this game it would just be that it hard to get the hang of it and the ai is a little jittery and there aren't a lot of good tutorial videos online but otherwise the game is great.
Very impressive so far.
So I got this game a week ago on strong recommendations from others as I was busy playing (and re-playing) Ultimate Generals: Civil War, and I've not touched the latter since. This game is not perfect, I'll say that up front. It's got bugs. There are bits where it feels like the game's attempt at imposing realism causes frustration because it clashes with even that expectation (units not maneuvering to get a clearer line of fire for instance). There are some folks who understandably didn't enjoy this game in some way or another and have left negative reviews. But I enjoy it regardless of the flaws (which makes them doubly annoying). I've yet to play the W&L DLC campaign but the main game is a blend of grand strategy and tactics I find eminently enjoyable. The devs clearly wanted players to be able to tailor their playthrough to a preference. Just want to do grand strategy and not play with the tactics? Just hit "auto-resolve" on all army battles, the game will do the fighting for you. In this for the battles and don't want to manage your side's economy? Turn on auto-manage of finance, projects, building, etc., the AI will do it. Or turn that all off and do everything for yourself, a slower campaign but scratching both tactics and strategy itches as you build nice new Sharps rifles, Henry repeaters, etc., and then see them in action on the battlefield. Or those Dreyse rifles and steel cannons you unlocked for import from Prussia at considerable expense! (Alas, no, naval nerds, no playing Monitor vs. Virginia/Merrimack, naval battles are all campaign map and computer-controlled. For now anyway.) And if you're not a wargamer grognard and want the game to play like an RTS where units move when instructed? Turn off initiative and order delay. Play it like UG: CW and other such games. I can't promise anyone will enjoy this game. I can only say I do enjoy it very much and anyone like me will too. Granted, it's not doing any wonders for my sleep apnea and sleeping cycle, ha. :-)
I really enjoy this game and I have no regrets in supporting this dev for their product. Sure, it might be a bit rough around the edges, but, come on man this is an incredibly niche game. But dang does it scratch that itch.
I love This Game. But it is soo broken, i cannot recommend it to the layman. For civil war buffs it's a must have. But beware: Crashes, Lags in big battles, bad AI Play , Bugs, unresponsive Controls etc. will spoil your fun. Have I mentionend that I love this game?
