Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

Very detailed American Civil War games i have ever played, the campaign mode is quite hard especially for confederate sides due to lack of guns, less ships and lower industry/economy compared to Unions, but i still love to play the CSA due to its challenging environment. Cant wait for the next step (whiskey and lemon) for the career mode. Downside: The Economic is still quite confusing.. even if we tried to build more economic building, the result is not linear.. I think the developer should make the economic simpler with Total War like systems (every building yield some value either for trade or resources can be utilized / money that can be spent)
Probably the best strategic and tactical civil war game one can find. The game has it's own fair share of problems and bugs and it seems that the development hasn't really made any significant improvements to fix these problems. My personal biggest one is after you get used to how the game works it becomes almost trivial as the enemy AI is trash even when put on max difficulty and agression. I always played as the csa and I would win withnin the first few months of the conflict. I once played as the union and completely destroyed the csa, it wasn't even fun. However, if you are a fan of strategy games I think that you will like this one. It lets you both control the entire country and the battlefield of individual battles, some games that only let you control the macro aspects leave you rellying on rng when it comes to battles (looking at you EU4). Everything you achieve in this game is based on skill and I can really appreciate that. That being said because the AI is so stupid it can lead to you winning battles when enemy has 3 or 4 times as many troops as you just because you managed to route a few of their units. After some time it gets harder to actually lose a battle no matter how much troops the enemy has. Overall the game is fun but becomes trivial after you learn the ropes. You should buy it if you like the strategy geanre as I personally have yet to find a game that offers a similar in-depth experience.

Very impressive so far.
So I got this game a week ago on strong recommendations from others as I was busy playing (and re-playing) Ultimate Generals: Civil War, and I've not touched the latter since. This game is not perfect, I'll say that up front. It's got bugs. There are bits where it feels like the game's attempt at imposing realism causes frustration because it clashes with even that expectation (units not maneuvering to get a clearer line of fire for instance). There are some folks who understandably didn't enjoy this game in some way or another and have left negative reviews. But I enjoy it regardless of the flaws (which makes them doubly annoying). I've yet to play the W&L DLC campaign but the main game is a blend of grand strategy and tactics I find eminently enjoyable. The devs clearly wanted players to be able to tailor their playthrough to a preference. Just want to do grand strategy and not play with the tactics? Just hit "auto-resolve" on all army battles, the game will do the fighting for you. In this for the battles and don't want to manage your side's economy? Turn on auto-manage of finance, projects, building, etc., the AI will do it. Or turn that all off and do everything for yourself, a slower campaign but scratching both tactics and strategy itches as you build nice new Sharps rifles, Henry repeaters, etc., and then see them in action on the battlefield. Or those Dreyse rifles and steel cannons you unlocked for import from Prussia at considerable expense! (Alas, no, naval nerds, no playing Monitor vs. Virginia/Merrimack, naval battles are all campaign map and computer-controlled. For now anyway.) And if you're not a wargamer grognard and want the game to play like an RTS where units move when instructed? Turn off initiative and order delay. Play it like UG: CW and other such games. I can't promise anyone will enjoy this game. I can only say I do enjoy it very much and anyone like me will too. Granted, it's not doing any wonders for my sleep apnea and sleeping cycle, ha. :-)
骑兵连,进攻!
I really enjoy this game and I have no regrets in supporting this dev for their product. Sure, it might be a bit rough around the edges, but, come on man this is an incredibly niche game. But dang does it scratch that itch.
I love RTS games alot and this is one of them it rough around the edges and their currently rebuilding it up from the ground but i like the ability to research, manage the economy, the army and navy, as well diplomacy and politics, i am excited to see how their complete rebuild turns out to be as well
I bought this game and directly compared it how Headquarter in the saddle is portrayed in the Scourge of war games, and also other comparances and that regards this is a very weak competitor if you want to immerse yourself in the battle from a true officer in the saddle since there is no fog of war and all units are seen on the battlemap all the time. But if you bought the game and want to be able to control one side completly in the civil war Im sure you are up for a treat. For me its a huge dissapointment. + A playable campaign through the whole war where you can raise from a lowly brigade commander to a general HQ in the saddle HQ in the saddle that was inspired by the Scourge of war games is added in the game, unfortunatly its not so underwhelming since you can not direct control the unit you command so good from this view like you can in the Scourge of war games and if you want to just get a little further above the head you must turn the "HQ in the saddle" view off. Perhaps it can be enjoyable if you can accept these shortcomings if you have not played the games above The lack of direct control of your unit makes it very unimmersive. I bought the game solely for controlling a brigade officer and rise from the ranks. You can not increase rotation of camera on the battlefield. if the goal is to simulate that you are sitting in the saddle to view battlefield it has utterly failed. If the goal was to simulate a person with a neck with plaster that has been broken in a previous encounter it simulates it very well. It takes 2 seconds to rotate camera from North to West, If it took 2 seconds for me to look to the left or right I would directly see a doctor. This is a very strange and bad design choice. - No fog of war and you can see all enemy units at all time (Rather play Scourge of war games for true realstic Fog of war) Graphics - Graphics of units is very weak and they are made of very low quality (Comparance to Scourge of war games are impossible to not do, Those games has very detailed sprites for soldiers). - Draw distance for the units are extremly poor and makes them hollow and glitchy from even 50 meters away. +The coloured photos from the civil war in the loading screens together with the portraits of officers and generals are very wellmade. - If you ALT+TAB out of the game yore view on the map is focused on the right corner Music Very enjoyable Sounds Very weak, Even though the game is paused the marching sounds still continues. A cool thing is that there are random officers saying things in the battle. (I compare it to the Scourge of war games)
I love This Game. But it is soo broken, i cannot recommend it to the layman. For civil war buffs it's a must have. But beware: Crashes, Lags in big battles, bad AI Play , Bugs, unresponsive Controls etc. will spoil your fun. Have I mentionend that I love this game?
