Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

i found this kinda buggy to start with....but also the controls suck... sometimes unresponsive units. system for all parts the game are over complicated.. i was expecting something like total war setup and indeed they should have this is the worst "grand strategy" i have ever played. then there's the fact that the union is historically more equipped and more troops but some how the south always has double my recruitment capability. If you were going for historical this isn't it. I liked the old version of this so it was hard to pass up but this one fall so short 2 out of 10
Not to bad slowly getting use to it

This game could be much more better if it's AI can be enhanced, cause every time since i decide to play a battle i would get annoyed by it's stupid AI. But i am looking forward to Grand Tactician's future despite there are still problem there in it. Apologize to the guy who left the comment here cause i accidentally deleted his comment. Sorry bro i'm not mean to do that ;D. But i agree with his word, those AI troop always make some strange movement and action, and my commander like to offer some confusing order to me while i'm playing career mode.
As someone interested into history, I am really in love with this game. The Civil War only spanned for 4 years, but it's so major in the context of American history in the 1800's and World's history in the 1800's.
Probably the best strategic and tactical civil war game one can find. The game has it's own fair share of problems and bugs and it seems that the development hasn't really made any significant improvements to fix these problems. My personal biggest one is after you get used to how the game works it becomes almost trivial as the enemy AI is trash even when put on max difficulty and agression. I always played as the csa and I would win withnin the first few months of the conflict. I once played as the union and completely destroyed the csa, it wasn't even fun. However, if you are a fan of strategy games I think that you will like this one. It lets you both control the entire country and the battlefield of individual battles, some games that only let you control the macro aspects leave you rellying on rng when it comes to battles (looking at you EU4). Everything you achieve in this game is based on skill and I can really appreciate that. That being said because the AI is so stupid it can lead to you winning battles when enemy has 3 or 4 times as many troops as you just because you managed to route a few of their units. After some time it gets harder to actually lose a battle no matter how much troops the enemy has. Overall the game is fun but becomes trivial after you learn the ropes. You should buy it if you like the strategy geanre as I personally have yet to find a game that offers a similar in-depth experience.
Very detailed American Civil War games i have ever played, the campaign mode is quite hard especially for confederate sides due to lack of guns, less ships and lower industry/economy compared to Unions, but i still love to play the CSA due to its challenging environment. Cant wait for the next step (whiskey and lemon) for the career mode. Downside: The Economic is still quite confusing.. even if we tried to build more economic building, the result is not linear.. I think the developer should make the economic simpler with Total War like systems (every building yield some value either for trade or resources can be utilized / money that can be spent)
I'm still on the learning curve, I appreciate the effort and passion the developers put into it. It's unfair to criticize this indie game for not having the resources of a big studio. The developers have done a great job with what they have. For those who love strategy games, this game is worth trying.
骑兵连,进攻!
A wonderful games with minor flaws. The connection of the strategic and tactical level is amazing, but gaining the information what influences what and why is difficult. The economic system is just the right mix of realism and playability, once you figure it out. My hopes are high that this will be the first entry of a long series. Especially since they teasered a game during the german wars of unification in the ingame-newspaper. Working title "Total War - But for Adults".
