The most unfulfilling slog of a game I have ever played. There are 4th grader short stories with more payoff and excitement. I want my entire $2 and 2hrs back pls.
Одна из самых бездарных и претенциозных пустышек в жанре. Вся игра — поиск записок. А в них — нуднейший скулеж малолетней лесбиянки, слушать который невероятно омерзительно, равно как и местный «гаражный роцк» с разбросанных по дому аудиокассет. Журналистика явно свернула не туда, занимаясь восхвалением подобного мусора. Хотя, вторая древнейшая же. Вопросы отпадают.

Meh it was going ok at the start i though it was a hunted house type deal, but it turns out your just following a gay couple love story on how they met and then the end, dont find anyone other then a diary about how much they love each other. 1. Game storyline sucks 2. the only thing good about the game is the picking up items opition
I found both the story and the gameplay to be uninteresting and boring. I've tried several attempts over the years to get into it and just couldn't. Finally decided to just remove it from my account as I don't think it's remotely good.
As someone working on literary spaces, this game friggin struck me. It plays almost like a chamber piece, using a single setting as a masterful example of environmental storytelling. I also find it funny that a conspiracy theorist, speculative fiction writer father is having a hard time accepting that his daughter is gay. Bachelard would adore this game.
I was expecting a nice creepy atmospheric horror type game and what I got is just a boring story about some girl coming out of the closet and her parents almost getting a divorce but then not getting a divorce.

Gone Home changed my life as a kid. I'm pleased to know that, replaying this in my adulthood, it remains the sweetest, homeliest, bright, hopeful place of queer acceptance. There's no deaths here, no turmoil, no tragedy. It's a shared story of one simple family, as authentic and sincere as it can get. My love for Gone Home is never-ending and I had a wonderful time journeying through the developer's commentary mode.
