fun game went into it blind and did enjoy those 50 min of gametime, short game overall but again fun and the story you can either listen from the journal or read the notes and all the latters you can find, i do must say that this house is god dem massive like who the hell built this house
Gone Home to me was the second walking simulator I remember being a thing, coming straight off the back of Dear Esther. Unlike Dear Esther, which was an outdoor/cave nature walking sim, Gone Home brought the genre indoors in the form of a house. I think the "wow factor" was much greater all those years ago, being able to enter a house, picking up items and just casally browse them without a care in the world. Learning about the protagonist and her relationship with her family and others is of course the highlight of the game. It's an interesting game at that, but on replays I just feel that the story is a bit unimaginative. It's also an entirely lonesome experience. But credit where credit's due, this game did pave the way for more interesting indoor walking sims like What Remains of Edith Finch. I still recommend Gone Home to this day as a piece of walking sim history. This is part of where it all began, and if you enjoy walking sims this is a must!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gone Home is a very quick and simple game that can be completed in a single short sitting. To truly grasp the narrative, you need to be 100% focused on the audio cues and your immediate surroundings as you explore. However, the gameplay itself feels quite lacking, as there isn't much to do beyond walking around and clicking on objects to trigger voice-over segments. Each of the characters feels like they are missing significant depth, making it hard to feel fully invested in their lives. Given the glowing reputation this title has earned, I honestly expected much more from the experience.
Arrive home after a long trip and slowly uncover the story of your family as you explore the house and read notes.
You may want to buy this game because look interesting and suspense vibes, no. This is just a lesbian story with a really bad ending
The most unfulfilling slog of a game I have ever played. There are 4th grader short stories with more payoff and excitement. I want my entire $2 and 2hrs back pls.
Meh it was going ok at the start i though it was a hunted house type deal, but it turns out your just following a gay couple love story on how they met and then the end, dont find anyone other then a diary about how much they love each other. 1. Game storyline sucks 2. the only thing good about the game is the picking up items opition
I found both the story and the gameplay to be uninteresting and boring. I've tried several attempts over the years to get into it and just couldn't. Finally decided to just remove it from my account as I don't think it's remotely good.
