For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gone Home nails the concept. The house-as-a-story idea, environmental storytelling, and low-friction narrative exploration are genuinely well done and still impressive for its time. Wandering, piecing things together, and letting the space talk to you works. I really loved the concept. That said, the actual story didn’t land for me at all. Sam, the central focus, comes off as painfully pretentious and self-centered, and instead of feeling emotionally resonant, her narration often felt smug and overwrought. I kept waiting for depth or self-awareness that never really showed up. Worth playing if you’re interested in narrative design or walking sims as a genre benchmark. Just don’t expect the story itself to be universally compelling.
At first glance it might seem a classical horror game but in reality it's just a game that wants to tell the story of a family, with its troubles, secrets etc. A story told by journals and exploration. Love the performance of the actress that play Sam although I really wanted more lines for Katie.
Gone Home is a first-person narrative exploration game where you return to an empty family house and slowly piece together what happened by exploring rooms, reading notes, and paying attention to small details. I really appreciated how quiet and intimate it is. The story unfolds naturally through the environment, and the house itself ends up feeling very personal and lived-in. It’s slow, calm, and entirely focused on atmosphere and storytelling rather than gameplay challenge. It’s the kind of experience that works best if you enjoy subtle, emotional narratives and letting a story reveal itself at its own pace.
beautiful
A beautiful tale of love and families struggles. I originally played this at a time when I was wrestling with some of my own issues and this game came along at the perfect time. Playing this again all these years later it still got me right in the heart. I also recommend a second go with the developer commentary on as it's a lovely insight into the behind the scenes :D
