About
Inspired by games such as: Ready or Not, Ground Branch, CoD: Modern Warfare and Insurgency: Sandstorm. GERONIMO is a highly realistic, tactical and immersive CQB shooter that has been built from the ground up for Virtual Reality. Play Solo, or with your friends and carry out your operations through our missions, some even inspired by real world raids.
Whether deploying solo or with a full 6-player squad, Geronimo brings unforgiving tactical shooter gameplay into VR, where careful movement, clear communication, and calculated teamwork are essential. Train with your team in dedicated practice environments, including shooting ranges with dynamic targets and customizable killhouses built for refining your tactics before the real mission begins.
In GERONIMO, your equipment is built around how you want to operate. Shape your operator’s look, choose your clothing and armor, then fine-tune your weapons and rig with a high level of control. Position pouches where they make sense, configure your vest for the role you’re playing, and set up each weapon platform with the attachments and layout that fit your style.
Every choice has a practical impact once you’re in VR. A heavier setup can slow you down and make long engagements more demanding. Poor optic placement can make target acquisition harder. A full-length rifle may give you reach in open spaces, but become awkward when clearing tight rooms. Your loadout is not just cosmetic — it defines how you move, fight, and survive.
Every weapon is built with a focus on physical interaction, mechanical detail, and believable handling in VR. Firearms are not treated as simple props — they are systems you manipulate by hand, with actions such as manual bolt locking, magazine changes, charging, and slide operation designed to feel deliberate and responsive.
A high level of animation and interaction work supports each weapon platform, from carefully authored hand poses to moving parts that behave as expected during operation. Slides cycle with accurate barrel movement, controls are placed and handled with intention, and small details are modeled so that using a weapon feels tactile rather than abstract. The result is a gunplay system where precision, familiarity, and muscle memory matter.
Sharpen your skills outside of live missions with dedicated IPSC-style courses and a range of killhouse options built for practice, speed, and friendly competition. Run timed shooting challenges to test accuracy under pressure, compare routes with teammates, and refine the fundamentals that matter most in VR: target acquisition, weapon handling, movement, and control.
Killhouses offer a more tactical way to train, with layouts suited for room clearing, angles, communication, and close-quarters decision-making. Whether you are warming up before an operation, drilling with your squad, or competing for the fastest clean run, Geronimo gives players flexible training spaces where improvement is measurable and rivalry stays friendly.

好玩,但是AI不够凶猛,不像RON那样跑来跑去和你战术射击。 手感极好,希望未来出更多地图,然后出两把喷子,手枪多个沙鹰什么的,AI逻辑也优化一下,会更好玩
♥♥♥♥♥♥ epicness
Incredible potential, easily the most realistic game of this type, sounds and the ai ragdolls are great however ai needs to be more dynamic as they kinda just sit in one spot until you shoot them but I understand the ai model used here has plenty of growth available, as they are able to hav emore of a "thought process" than more common ai types, weapon customization is awesome but there needs to be a way to turn the gun around in the vise so you can more easily add attachments to the right side of the gun, a knife would also be cool. The performance could be optimized but i have older hardware so im not sure how much is do to that but it plays very smoothly for how good it looks, but textures on buildings do lack in the looks department a little and text in menus can be hard to read if your on an older headset with more screen door effect (HTC Vive) also vive wands can be a bit clunky with the bindings available but its not too bad. but at a month old and for $19.99 you can't go wrong, at the time of this review I haven't tried online. If the developers keep frequent updates this could turn out to be a revolutionary game in the vr world. I also would like to see some kind of medical mechanic such as; tourniquets, splints and morphine injections. (more like the Tarkov medical system than onward) Also if you've played onward and enjoy it you will enjoy this game as-well even though it is very different.
Like another review said, this game has a lot of potential but at the moment it's not the best time to purchase. I will admit I really enjoy the attention to detail when it comes to the guns as well as customisability but the AI feels insanely jank. As someone coming from TAVR, this is actually quite a major downgrade as enemies will know where you are at all times and try shooting you through walls while also majority of the time staying in the same spot and not moving. Another thing to mention, I believe because of how free the customisation is on weapons, it leads to attachments having no collision with terrain, you can simply attach a suppressor to a weapon, put it against a wall or window, pull the trigger and the bullet will go through impenetrable terrain. While the game looks visually appealing, performance isn't the greatest, even on the lowest settings, the game still freezes for long periods of times at some points. You're also probably wondering why I'm critiquing the game like this despite giving it a thumbs up. That's mainly because this vr shooter has by far the most enjoyable and satisfying gunplay I've experienced so far. So in my opinion, I don't suggest buying this game YET as there is still a lot wrong with it. I say wait until it gets out of early access as the game will hopefully be more optimised, have more weapons, features, and better AI. I've had GERONIMO on my wishlist since about 2023/24 and had really high hopes for it but I was ultimately very disappointed with it's early access release. Now, I will continue to play the game because of it's weaponry but I'm hoping a lot gets changed soon.
The game needs a lot of things fixed. Two things that make the game uncomfortable to play is the controllers and the guns. I use the valve index controllers and the big problem is that there is no finger tracking. Having to press several buttons on the controllers to make a single hand gesture feels akwards. The handling of the guns feel akward as well. For example when reloading the AK74, the magazine really likes to phase into the weapon and not wanting to fully reload. It also feels like the game is not properly optimized. A lot of long loading times when switching to different scenes. Maybe after several updates and fixes I might come back to this but for now I'm gonna have to refund the game.
This is quite literally my dream VR game. A gun nerd paradise, so much potential here. Hands down best feeling guns in VR period. Pair it with a gun stock and this is what every VR developer should stive for. Sound is really good too! However I will agree with others, permormance atm is not great. I have a pretty maxxed out rig and it still struggles at times. Excited to see what this game becomes, hope the devs keep plugging away cus man this is a gem.
