About
Inspired by games such as: Ready or Not, Ground Branch, CoD: Modern Warfare and Insurgency: Sandstorm. GERONIMO is a highly realistic, tactical and immersive CQB shooter that has been built from the ground up for Virtual Reality. Play Solo, or with your friends and carry out your operations through our missions, some even inspired by real world raids.
Whether deploying solo or with a full 6-player squad, Geronimo brings unforgiving tactical shooter gameplay into VR, where careful movement, clear communication, and calculated teamwork are essential. Train with your team in dedicated practice environments, including shooting ranges with dynamic targets and customizable killhouses built for refining your tactics before the real mission begins.
In GERONIMO, your equipment is built around how you want to operate. Shape your operator’s look, choose your clothing and armor, then fine-tune your weapons and rig with a high level of control. Position pouches where they make sense, configure your vest for the role you’re playing, and set up each weapon platform with the attachments and layout that fit your style.
Every choice has a practical impact once you’re in VR. A heavier setup can slow you down and make long engagements more demanding. Poor optic placement can make target acquisition harder. A full-length rifle may give you reach in open spaces, but become awkward when clearing tight rooms. Your loadout is not just cosmetic — it defines how you move, fight, and survive.
Every weapon is built with a focus on physical interaction, mechanical detail, and believable handling in VR. Firearms are not treated as simple props — they are systems you manipulate by hand, with actions such as manual bolt locking, magazine changes, charging, and slide operation designed to feel deliberate and responsive.
A high level of animation and interaction work supports each weapon platform, from carefully authored hand poses to moving parts that behave as expected during operation. Slides cycle with accurate barrel movement, controls are placed and handled with intention, and small details are modeled so that using a weapon feels tactile rather than abstract. The result is a gunplay system where precision, familiarity, and muscle memory matter.
Sharpen your skills outside of live missions with dedicated IPSC-style courses and a range of killhouse options built for practice, speed, and friendly competition. Run timed shooting challenges to test accuracy under pressure, compare routes with teammates, and refine the fundamentals that matter most in VR: target acquisition, weapon handling, movement, and control.
Killhouses offer a more tactical way to train, with layouts suited for room clearing, angles, communication, and close-quarters decision-making. Whether you are warming up before an operation, drilling with your squad, or competing for the fastest clean run, Geronimo gives players flexible training spaces where improvement is measurable and rivalry stays friendly.

After this recent update I will not be playing this game until they fix this horrid lighting. Everything is bright and washed out the pistols and rifles now sound like you are shooting them under water, the ai is way too easy, the performance of this game has drastically dropped after the update, the bug where your game crashes when you try to join a lobby after making your own or going single player is still a problem, the game is blurry as heck, the bipods still don’t work, and you literally can’t use flash lights as they blind you, the whole game has a saturated yellow to it now, they dropped some of textures so now the range looks it’s full of toys, and the graphics button doesn’t change anything anymore, what an absolute disappointment this game has become in just one single update, what are yall thinking over there. Please like this review so the devs can see this update was actually horrible. And thing the guns are 1000 percent louder changing the volume does nothing what kind of ear pro am I wearing that I can hear the guns blow my ears out while wearing them. And for all of those reasons I do not recommend this game right now.

I was following this game for a bit and today I finally decided to try it. After playing about an hour I can say this has potential but the AI is kind of ass. It seems as if they know exactly where the player is at all times but do not move at all. They continuously look in your direction no matter where and how far you are. When you get closer to where they are, (building, house, etc.) they open fire immediately especially when in a whole other room. I have died on the first mission (Son do you even CAG or wtv) by getting shot repeatedly through the wall. I don't know if this game is trying to depict the actual hell that is CQB or what, but this AI is not very fun to go up against. I know it's not supposed to be easy but it should at least feel fair. I will give them that the weapons, although limited arsenal, feel very nice and the reloading is smooth when you practice getting it right. It has very nice mag palming mechanics games like TAVR wish they had. I really like being able to push a magazine fully into the weapon instead of just bringing it close so it can teleport in. Very immersive and satisfying. Although nice mechanics, not sure if I currently find it all very fun at least right now. I am debating on refunding it now and come back later or keep it sitting in my library and wait for big fixes. Another note is the games graphics are above meh? It could be my specs but after tweaking the in game video settings, not much really changed in visuals other than shading. I see some other reviews complaining about performance but It ran decently for me on any setting and I believe I have worse specs and compared to others.
Unoptimized, laggy and buggy. Turning the graphics down makes the game unplayable cos I cant see a damn and turning it up completely gets rid of a smooth experience. I reccommend waiting for updates or finding another game to play...
absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horrid if youre playing on an index. you have to grip the gun like the special ed kid holds the class pet dude ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. if you dont grip your controllers like they owe you money then the gun just glitches in and out of your hand... genuinely some unplayable ♥♥♥♥ dude its nuts. the game also just generally runs like ♥♥♥♥ and its incredibly clunky. thought this game was supposed to kill tac assault but genuinely would rather play a game made by a pedophile than a game that cant even get gripping right. unreal.
making every door a 50/50 death trap of the AI lasering you and not providing a riot shield is certainly a choice
You know when you where dreams of the perfect CQB VR game, and suddenly you are standing in a briefing room with 6 other operators and a shooting-room, manipulating safety switch and shooting a-zones before heading out on a mission! well now its here! I usually don't write reviews but this game deserves one for sure. There is so much potential here, and if we get a fraction of our requests we are looking at the tactical vr shooter that will sit on the throne! SURE it is rough, but its an early access game, and we can only go upwards from here! If we get the optimization of the game where it needs to be, getting rid of stuttering and framedrop we are off to a great start! The rest is just implementing new things to drool over ;) 10/10 would buy! I actually bought a whole new rig as I was a Quest standalone only, just to be able to test this game !
This game makes me want to cry because how good it is. Please don’t give up on this game. Exactly what we needed in a fps
maybe one of the biggest disappointments of the year gunshots ripped from eft and operator can't interact with doors besides the handle or ur gun bad ai that do in fact see you through doors not reloading perfectly how the devs imagined it will cause your mag to either clip through the gun or glide past it the custom pouch setups are cool customization is great i don't understand how people are glazing this game when it's three steps behind TAVR
a frustrating mess is the best time to describe my experience with this. guns falling onto the floor and i have to restart my entire build because they clip when i grab my gun from the floor, that's just the start, no tutorials i had to you tube a guide and found one from Obsidian Ops. had a huge height problem that required me to open my quest setting and turn on adjust height. my body is either not turning turns so horrible and i have to painfully bend my torso to grab my pistol from my hip that i cant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ see and if not than fling my arm around my hip in every direction of where my pistol should be, and my characters model is stuck in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ angle where. i cant customize guns well because my own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ body pushes me away from the customization desk, the AK mags fall whenever i attempt to unholster it into my hands, and back to the body model problem because Hard Bullet fixed this with a full hand and body optimization where you can control where your mags are, how far your hands go ect. full adjustment every game has but there's only a height adjustment option that barely fixed my problem. and all the rifles but 2 are m4 based. No FN Scar, no HK G36, i don't think there's a shotgun option just pistols, smgs, rifles, and snipers. only is a breach shotgun that worked once for me but failed on my after that one successful use. did i mention there's no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crouch option? not to mention reloading is a chore, i have to insert it in and out of the hole for every gun, HK, mp5, ak, i am doing the right way to reload the AK too but i have to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retry over and over again. now positives, the maps are alight, love killing the enemies, its similar to ground branches ragdoll system but more heavy-ish. the gunplay was fun even though i gave up with most guns and end up using the mp5 because it has iron sights and full auto and doesn't require me to put a sight on that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ workbench. my favorite part is how I'm getting refund out of this because did i also mention hard bullet fixed most of these problems i have? character customization is my favorite part of this game and i like how customizable the customization is that ever customizes. the AI doesn't charge you head on they act evasive and wait for you to come in half the time. other times idk what they do so positive and negative. what would make me come back..? add options for arm and chest rig/plate position and a option to reset my body. add a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crouch button, in game tutorial, more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ guns that aren't M4 based. shotguns (especially the Benelli M4 IMO). rework some of the pistol gunshots cuz it feels like those cheap toys that makes the sound effects whenever you pull the trigger. i booted up the game like 3 times and had the same issues soo i already tried the whole restart yo ♥♥♥♥ and such.
A breath of FRESH AIR. Is it laggy? Yes. Do the doors glitch? Quite often. Does it feel completely different from other tactical vr shooters? I guess so. I do have to mention trolls putting 1000 flashlights on their guns and making everyone lag. I'd really like to see this issue fixed in the coming updates. Overall a good game with lots of potential, I'm looking forward to the game's further development.
