If I could, I would refund. So many reasons but I cannot be bothered.
A game I really want to like, but just can't Pros: -The Shooting part of the gunplay feels amazing, the weapons feel weighty and satisfying to shoot -The sound design is fantastic as always -the graphics are very good -Single player bot matches, with full progression! Cons: -The UI is just plain bad. You can't tell what teammate is what class, so if you need ammo or health, good luck finding the right guy. what are those dots next to the defender count, What does the water thing do, where are the map borders, i can't see them because they keep blending in with the terrain on the minimap, where am I getting shot from, and so may other questions that remain unanswered -The low health and panic visuals in particular are far to much, some desaturation and vignette is fine, darkening most of the screen into an incomprehensible blur is not. And on Suez, when it happens, it feels like you turned off your monitor with how little you can see -The camera movement Is also far to much from reloading and artillery strikes. in one particular instance, repeatedly reloading on low health while in an artillery strike, I had to Alt+F4 because the movement was to much and was making me nauseous. -On the subject of reloading, many of the reload animations, while incredibly well done, feel far to slow. While I don't want Battlefield or COD speed animations, It also shouldn't take 3 business days to reload a stripper clip or 1911. And the revolvers, god help you poor souls who get stuck using a Webley, I've seen paint dry faster than those things reload. Also, currently the best way to stop an in progress reload is animation cancelling by going prone. Useful with a revolver or rifle, but if you have to take cover while using an lmg, then I hope you enjoy watching the whole animation again -The bots are just so, SO bad. the number of times I have been bleeding out and had a bot start reviving and then stop, turn and stare at an enemy that then proceeds to shoot them are uncountable. Panicked bots instantly go prone every time, even when the shooter is at point blank range, they will crouch walk past enemies, they will almost never give you more ammo, and they will, without fail, place the squad beacon in the dumbest spot possible. Overall, A flawed but decently fun game, but I would recommend you just play Isonzo instead

I am familiar with previous games of devs, but I didn't play them. However, I am quite familiar with other milsim shooters, such as ARMA, HLL, etc. Before buying the game I read about the series and came up with opinion that it is different and overall better than previous games. But from my side I have to say that mechanics of this game are just crappy. Hit registration is absolute nightmare, grenades are a joke, weapon and class progressions are useless, a lot of bugs (I understand it just recently released tho), animations sucks, movement feels slow even when you sprinting. Currently only one type of mission with same tasks on five maps. There are positive sides for me such as setting, more or less historical accuracy and familiarity of how to play. My overall review is negative, but I hope new game modes will be added, progression will be adjusted and /or expanded. There is a hope. I will still play this one periodically. Peace.
Right now. It's just okay. There's a lot of issues, especially hit detection. The game is simply too inconsistent to recommend right now. Sometimes your shots all line up fine, other times, you swear you have no idea why you're missing. The only around that is to brute force HD with Pistol or MGs. Far too many classes have pistols. Bad spawns, horrendous pop-in. Also some of the missions where the attackers start on rowing boats in the middle of the ocean might as well be a free 25 kills to the other team, for no reason. Also some of the maps that are big open deserts? A few competent players can bleed the attacker tickets dry with very little effort. Needs far more Officer abilities to compensate. I get what they're going for, and there is a good game underneath but they need to dig quickly to find it.
Game is quite fun, they have added some new classes. Would have been nice if there was a little more variety for officers but probably because there are more of them that would be too op. Its different then Isonzo but still fresh and fun, would recommend to any that are fans of the previous games OR those looking for a fps change from battlefield and cod.
Hitreg is a problem and bullet velocity is unrealistically slow and models of players disappear and reappear when only parts of their body are visible. Lots of sway and shake mechanics to make gunplay more annoying than the parts above already make it but other than that its fun.
The game frequently crashes when running with Proton. I am usually unable to complete a full match without crashing. I provided crash logs on the steam forum, and a developer replied that they do not support Linux.
