Foundation is a grid-less, laidback medieval city-building game with a focus on organic development, monument construction and resource management.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Great game I love it. But very bad performance. Lagging, Freezing.
Enjoy the city building aspect along with the supply chains that allow you to create a village based on your vision. Different camera angles help with layout the village prior to clicking the build button. Love the game and looking forward to the additional context with the Harvest Festival.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 18: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the best modern strategy games - not very complex and easy to understand
Beautiful graphics, but frustratingly unplayable Foundation is a beautiful game, but the user experience is fundamentally flawed. The UI is counter-intuitive and lacks basic feedback or error messages, leaving you guessing why simple things like trading won't work. On top of that, the villager AI creates logistical nightmares over ridiculously short distances. Unless you are willing to spend hours reading online guides just to understand the basic mechanics, the frustration quickly outweighs the fun. Uninstalled.
absolutely love the game. Great mechanics, lovely graphics, not too demanding and definitely playable on older devices. just lovely!

genuinely lost years off my life playing this game all day and night for weeks it was so fun
A lovely and (should have been) relaxingly simple city builder, let down by badly conceived and poorly explained systems, seemingly little development progress and a ridiculous price tag. A tech tree made meaningless due to the requirements and/or costs of unlocking many of the levels. and which is barely explained in any meaningful way mean hours wasted only to end up locked out of being able to progress. Want to simply move a building, maybe your lumber camp to the big new wooded area you just paid most of your gold to unlock only to be told it's "too far away"... but not explaining what it's too far away from? What do i need to move first? Why doesn't the game tell me anywhere? Modular buildings that, again, are horribly introduced, and you can only "resize" in height? Why is it ALL so stupidly convoluted when you blatantly make it appear like this is a relaxing city builder!? After all this time in EA and there's still so little improvement to accessibility for new players and that's a real shame. Could have been, and in many ways is, a beautiful little game, but it's still absolutely obtuse despite years in early access (play the demo, it's pretty much everything you're getting in this!) The ultimate insult for me though... They're advertising DLC for an already overpriced and undercooked product. Nope!
A Masterpiece of Organic City-Building (100% Completed after 473+ Hours!) If you are looking for a casual, grid-based city builder, look elsewhere. Foundation is a deep, complex, and beautifully organic medieval simulator that demands patience, strategy, and careful micro-management. I have spent over 470 hours in this game, built massive settlements from scratch, and unlocked every single achievement on Challenge mode. I can confidently say this is one of the best investments a strategy fan can make. Pros: Organic Growth: No rigid grids. Villagers paint their own paths, and zones develop naturally. Deep Production Chains: From a simple wheat farm to complex monastery wine production, the chains are incredibly satisfying. The Challenge Mode: It genuinely tests your management skills with taxation, luxury needs, and military missions. Beautiful Art Style & Music: Relaxing yet immersive. Cons: The achievement triggers can be very specific and tricky (make sure you actually enact those privileges/taxes!). If you love medieval logistics and want a game where you can easily lose hundreds of hours, this is a 10/10 masterpiece. Highly recommended!
