About
The truth is in the details.
In Forensics: Crime Scene Detective, you are the scientific authority that provides investigators with the facts. Your work begins when the sirens fade and silence settles over the crime scene.

With a cool head and a trained eye, you enter apartments, bars, and basements where something unimaginable has happened — or is said to have happened. Equipped with professional tools, you search for what others miss: a subtle fingerprint on a wine glass, a deleted message on a smartphone, a tiny blood spatter that casts doubt on a statement.

From Crime Scene to Laboratory:
Securing evidence is only the beginning. In the lab, the evidence tells its story. You compare DNA profiles, reconstruct bullet trajectories, decrypt digital devices, and piece together fragments into a clear overall picture. Your analyses incriminate perpetrators — or exonerate the innocent. Not every bloody crime scene is a murder. And not everything that seems obvious is the truth.

“Based on the experience and insights of experts from the State Criminal Police Office Rhineland-Palatinate (LKA RLP).”

I'm not seeing why this game gets as much hate as it does. Does it have bugs? Yes. Are the bugs unplayable? Absolutely not. This game is tedious and repetitious, that is what forensic science is. You're not playing as a homicide detective tracking down the bad guy. You're the science geek that takes pictures of evidence, collects it, and processes it. Personally I love it, I can't wait to see what it does going forward. The only thing I wish this game had was a way to track 'perfect' evidence.
It has potential, but is currently not worth it for that price.

I am really enjoying my time with this game. The game play loop is relaxed and does not rush you into anything. Searching the different maps is a lot of fun with many details around every corner. You can always go back and forth between the crime scene and the lab, which does help during the puzzle sequence once you notice something is missing. It does start small and easy, but ramps up pretty good. Getting 100% in each case will require some deep searching for evidence, but also provides additional replay value. The achievements so far also seem rather easy, no need to be perfect at everything! The devs are pretty active and respond to feedback quickly. The patch on the first day solved a lot of issues reported in other reviews. The only complaint, like many others: Item management can be annoying since you can only hold one item at a time. This is especially annoying when you need to take a picture of something and run back to grab the dust spray.
I saw so much potential in this game, and was so excited for it to release. from what i've played so far, it felt like a demo; 4 tutorials before I played 3 bare bones levels that had less content than those tutorials. I wasn't aware there were more cases, nor did I know how to unlock them (reading reviews, i now know you need a better score to progress). which is on me, but could be avoided in the future by showing the players that there are more cases to unlock, or at least showing a requirement to progress. currently the game loop is just: 1. Enter scene, 2. Collect what few evidence the game allows you to (limited), 3. Process minigame, 4. Email your findings, 5. Close case. from what i've played so far: The core concept of the game seems fine, and they do have the mechanics to truly make this game great, I can only really hope that the Devs actually plan on fixing and adding way more content to the game. Some honest feedback: There is no investment between the player and the scenes, in fact, it could just be a text based game at that point. firstly I would suggest longer scenes, not just: "2 blood samples matched. oh yeah, btw, he took out B&E insurance. Good job". If the Devs really wanted this game to be one of a kind (there is definitely a market for it), they'd treat it like the real puzzle game it could be; Allow us to come to our own conclusions. make the cases longer and more interesting. Give us more interactions to the case, beside some collections and minigames. The visuals are nice and I'm sure there was a lot of effort put into the game development, but at the moment, it does not match it's price tag and what was expected. I will change the review if I am proven wrong, as i see a lot of potential in this game.
Weiter so! :)
This is not an action filled detective game, it isn´t designed to be. this game portrays the job of a crime scene investigator quite well. Gathering the evidence takes a sharp eye in a few cases especially some fingerprints are quite well hidden, but that´s how it is in real live. About gameplay: • The fingerprints are quite easy to match and if they dont look similar at all you can save a lot of time by just clicking no match. • The DNA matching is easy once you figure out what to watch out for. • The digital device recovery is the most simple thing just click decrypt and done. • Level progression is quite good Potential improvements • In the case where a bar owner was shot, the blood on the floor is waay to tiny to be a murder scene. • A way to check crime scene photos on scene so you don´t inadvertently miss taking one picture. • Maybe a regular flashlight since for example Case 13 is quite dark. • Maybe add a way that if you get a total score of 90/100 on a case, that you can see how many evidence were missed. The price is a bit hefty for how little there is to do.
most of these negative reviews dont understand the point of the game and keep pointing at useless issues and bug which is stupid, the gameplay loop is good and i love the mechanics,my only complains are that for now taking pictures is a pain, its too unforgiving and sometimes impossible like the barrel case,i wish the game explained more of how evidence gets rated for example i cant get a perfect on fingerprint evidence and im not sure if im supposed to send non matching fingerprints, also i wish there was a way to be more precise with controls like when comparing dna samples its really hard to be precise even with a controller but for a game that barely launched i can say it was totally worth my 20$
