Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Don't let the internet fool you this is the best FF game in the series

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.22/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game has the same problem as the first Final Fantasy XIII game. It will not work on modern day windows computers as this game was never developed for modern day Windows PC hardware with all the modern-day 64-bit drivers. This issue seems to be the major issue this game keeps getting negative reviews. Also, patching this game manually will not guarantee that it will work. This is simply the nature of PC gaming (especially on Windows) and game development in general. However, it works on Linux without problems and has very good rating on Proton database. No stutters, crashes or freezes. It just work as it should. So if you absolutely want to play this on PC, I would suggest to simply stay away from playing this on Windows as it has simply too many issues and just play it on Linux using Steam's built-in Proton compatibility layer. For those who are interested, I'm using Proton Experimental as the compatibility layer.

I played this game on Steam Deck and installed the FF13Fix. It played just fine even with frame drops here and there. Overall, I had a mixed experience with it. The gameplay is still fun, and I really enjoy the monster-taming twist. It’s also more open world than the first game for whatever that entails. The storytelling is kinda chopped. The combat system remains largely the same as the first game (GOOD). And I really like the monster-taming twist because it allows more customization and you can have a lil guy on your team. The leveling system becomes more complicated. I recommend looking up guides for this. In contrast to the first game, they also make enemy encounters more like random encounters now. And even though I don’t hate it because you can still run away from enemies in most cases, I still don’t like it. It trivializes random battles and make them more annoying. This probably comes as a part of the open world package. Progressing through this game involves time traveling, and conceptually that feels really fun, so it’s a plus for gameplay. BUT the storytelling gets convoluted very quickly, so that side really takes a hit. There are good story bits in this game, it’s just they don’t come together very well. Despite the failure of the storytelling, I still like Serah (the main female protagonist) a lot. Her character feels compelling and she feels like a true extension from the first game. Her character is really what makes the journey feel meaningful to me. Now there’s a lot of extra content to be unlocked once you beat the main game, and this is where the gameplay goes downhill for me because the main way through which you unlock this stuff is by completing side quests, a majority of which are fetch quests. Then there’s the secret ending, which after I confirmed the conditions, I immediately looked up the Youtube video cuz I’m not doing all that. However, there’s dlc content you can access after you beat the main game, and one of them ends up being my favorite part of this game. Overall, I had a fun time through the main game, but making it open world comes with good and bad, especially for extra content. Storytelling could’ve been much better. But at least, this game has so many beautiful soundtracks to accompany me through the journey. This game also makes me really want to pick up Lightning Returns.
une aventure déjà faites sur ps3 que je voulais refaire et j'ai retrouvé le même plaisirs a le refaire.
"This game is an improvement of XIII." No, it is not. Not unless you enjoy damage sponges as early as the third area, a stupid monster system that you're forced to engage with when there was a perfectly fine party system in the first game, and a worse Crystarium system. Story and characters aren't very good, and it's a bit of a slap in the face after playing the first game. The levels are more open, except not in a good or meaningful way. They're just open because everyone complained about the linearity of the first game. The rain also looks like ♥♥♥♥ on this port and requires a mod to fix. Only recommending because the soundtrack is fire.
Yikes... this sucked. I'm going through the FF13 games for the first time and I somewhat enjoy the first game for what it is. This game has more of that ATB gameplay which I found enjoyable especially since it's a little bit more faster paced. And the story, it's okay. I really am playing these games for Lightning and Serah and seeing what happens. Although the game frequently dampens my experience on multiple fronts and I seriously question the devs that made this game. Due to the nature of the story, enemies will spawn out of thin air around you like walking through tall grass in a Pokemon game. Yet there's no tall grass here and you are forced to fight enemies after walking a short distance each time, that is unless you run away from them. This. Gets. Repetitive. It gives me anxiety exploring around only because I'm so close to reaching this next area only to be faced with a minor convenience every 30 seconds. Now about the finicky difficulty of this game. It starts off alright, too a little hard till you level up, pretty alright and smooth after, to annoyingly long and difficult at the very end. This is exactly how it was like in FF13 but I appreciate how quick this game feels, despite having the same runtime ime. The thing about it, these games are designed for grinding. Stay at an area you want to reap RNG loot from or to level up your characters and monsters. The question is: for how long? That right there ruins the momentum the game has in which the pacing of the story doesn't help out as much as I hoped. Seriously, I hate playing single-player games where grinding is HEAVILY encouraged. But alas, times are different now. The music and setting are cool. Time travel/dimensional hopping is a thing here. It's nothing I took too seriously since it is intentionally confusing but at least I tried to enjoy what they presented. Graphics and performance REQUIRE you to search up online so that the game doesn't crash on you and to make the game look slightly better than what it is. The FFXIII 4 GB Patch is what you need and you can find other mods out there that uses that patch. I didn't like playing this game. At all. I do hope we get to see this trilogy remade one day but after playing I doubt it even deserves that treatment
