Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Epic, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
Loved the original. Hate this. it's a game of the world's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mini-games designed to pad out your game time in the most boring way possible. If i had a physical disk of this i would fling it out the window. Also, ♥♥♥♥ Chadley

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best FR #11, worst KR #43 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.33/day in the week to Aug 4 → 40/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Bought FF7 Remake and Rebirth a couple months ago, I just finished remake, it was fun and had no issues. I booted up rebirth got a little bit in, and wow! It lookes noticibly worse compared to the first one. Some textures will be detailed and others will be incredibly smooth. Assets have piss poor rendering, for example, pretty much every time I turn my camera things like boxes and wagons will appear and dissapear, sometimes even the mountains in the background (on the highest graphics settings available in game). One of the first things I noticed was different compared to the first was the ability to manuever/vault/climb buildings and the environment. Adding extra mobility into a game will make it better, but this is one of the most awkward and ugly animations I've seen in a video game, and I played AC Unity on launch. The only way to discern when you can climb is by a button prompt in the corner of your screen or by constantly spamming, it's just an unnecessary addition from the first game. While we're comparing to the first game, the lighting quality just seems so sterile and bland compared to the first. I attempted to install a shader mod, however the graphics somehow got worse and it added an ungodly amount of latency, if you do buy it and go that route, don't get your hopes up. I bought the game knowing about the mass amounts of mini-game slop because I'm crazy like that, but the piss poor optimization and lack of effort compared to Remake has completely turned me off of continuing.
A hallow shell of what made remake so good. Endless minigames and pointless side content covering up a great story and fun moments. Janky open world that doesn't feel fun to explore at all. Hopefully the 3rd one does better
genuinely had so much better of an experience than remake. the cutscenes, fun, puzzles, relationship dynamics and especially the synergy attacks. that really put the meaning of teamwork into it. unlike in remake, you don't lose out on side quests if you want to continue the story. you can always come back to them when you feel like it. and the open-world was very refreshing, learning about the lore in the regions and competing in queen's blood. really overall a massive upgrade from the first part :D
Overall, it's a disappointing game when compared to the thrill I got from playing the original FF7. I hate the action combat. Many of the mini games were tedious. Several boss fights had insane difficulty compared to the rest of the game. That final boss fight with 25 phases, no moment for a break, unskippable cutscenes, no chance to save materia changes, etc. made it a super frustrating way to finish the game and definitely pushed me towards the negative review. The game has some decent moments, but it's ruined by all the headaches. How many slow-walking scenes does a game need? Even in the final moments, I was being forced to slowly walk around.
after 40+ hours in -Needing third party fixes for UW -Controller Input bugs that require 3rd party mods to correct -The Enemy scaling slog -and numerous other issues This game stopped being worth my time and energy. It's sad, i really wanted to complete this game, but artificial progression slow down meaningless zonal stuff, and never feeling strong in the game just ruined it for me. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME
Uh... When I pay money for a game I expect it to actually work?
The worlds bland, full of meaningless quests and ubisoft style towers. A real shame after the first part.
