About

The world has fallen under the dominion of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a sinister corporation that has monopolized the planet's very life force as Mako energy. In the urban megalopolis of Midgar, an anti-Shinra rebel group calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their campaign of resistance.
Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra's elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the rebels, unaware that he will be drawn into an epic battle for the fate of the planet, while having to come to terms with his own lost past.
This product is an upgraded version of FINAL FANTASY VII – 2013 Edition with additional features (there are no changes or additions to the story).

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a classic for a reason. Excellent game.

My thumbs up is for Final Fantasy 7 as a game, which is excellent, but not for the Steam version specifically. I've played this game on a lot of systems, and the current Steam version is by far the worst version I've played. There are a lot of bugs. The audio bugs in particular really annoy me. Audio bugs might not impede gameplay, and they might not be as obvious to new players, but when you know what things are supposed to sound like it's very annoying when they sound wrong. Omnislash not sounding right is particularly dissapointing. I'm continuing to play the Steam version just for the sake of getting all the achievements. Once I get them all, I will probably never play the Steam version again. If Steam is the only way you can play the game, then go for it. But if you have the option of getting it on something else like PlayStation or Switch, that would be much better.
this ♥♥♥♥ is so fun and the humor holds up even 30 + years later
Such an amazing game despite how dated it is, it’s the most popular one for a reason!!!! The story is incredible from start to finish, there was hardly ever a low or boring point in the plot, and something was ALWAYS happening. However, the game was quite hard to navigate as there wasn’t really a guide for where you should be heading for or what you should be doing sometimes, so you were forced to just explore around and pray that you were going in the right direction. Combat wise, this game is honestly really good! It’s turn based but you don’t wait until the enemy has taken their turn, rather you’re waiting for your own cooldown to pass as the battles are in real-time, and I think it’s really engaging and refreshing to see such a spin on the old turn-based combat. Graphically of course, it isn’t anything super crazy as it is a port of a 90s game, but it still manages to capture the atmosphere of different areas quite well! But it can be hard to walk around in some areas as the paths aren’t always apparent. The art is really, really good for some areas. I personally LOVE how they made Midgar and Golden Saucer. Oh and the minigames, man, they can be hard to control but a lot of them are quite fun! (I really liked the Battle Square, it was grindy but damn fun) Some though like the Slam Dunk minigame at Golden Saucer is just torture to play.. Also, Sephiroth is just insanely menacing throughout the whole game. Freaking amazing villain that will FOREVER be iconic. An absolute must-play classic.
