Featuring fully voiced dialogue, beautifully enhanced graphics, and countless gameplay improvements, the genre-defining tactical RPG makes its long-awaited return.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About

Ivalice—a kingdom blessed by the light of the gods and ruled by the Two-headed Lion. A year after her defeat to Ordallia in the Fifty Years' War, the king succumbed to malady, leaving a mere boy of two to ascend the throne.
Whoever was named regent would rule in truth, and thus emerged two rival candidates: dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose deeds during the war had earned them great renown. Goltanna the Black Lion and Larg the White Lion were destined to clash, and the resulting conflict would come to be known as the War of the Lions.
Against this backdrop appear Ramza, third son of House Beoulve, one of Ivalice's leading military families, and his childhood companion Delita, a commoner raised amongst nobles. As they endeavor to chart a course through this tumultuous age, a mighty current draws them ever closer to the abyss.

Lead your party in exhilarating encounters where strategic positioning and forward planning determine the outcome. Use the varied terrain of 3D battlefields to your advantage, skillfully manipulate the turn order, and victory will be yours for the taking.

Combine a wide variety of jobs and abilities to craft your very own strategies.
As your party members grow, they will gain access to more jobs, each with its own unique abilities. Once learned, abilities can be used even after changing to another job. With over 20 jobs to master—including white mage, black mage, dragoon, and many others from the FINAL FANTASY series—and hundreds of abilities to learn, you have the freedom to experiment and discover the combinations that best suit your party. Chocobos and other creatures can also be tamed and led into battle.

With improved graphics, fully voiced dialogue, and refined gameplay, the enhanced version provides the perfect way to immerse yourself in the world of Ivalice. Along with the fine-tuning of several features and battle mechanics, the inclusion of the more accessible "Squire" difficulty setting makes the enhanced version an excellent starting point for first-time players.
The classic version unites the graphics and gameplay of the original 1997 version with the renowned War of the Lions translation for a unique way to experience this beloved title.
The Enhanced version of the game supports a wide variety of controller options.
It also supports keyboard and mouse controls.
The Classic version of the game only supports XInput controllers.
Keyboard controls are also supported, but mouse controls are not supported.

I loved FFT back when it came out in my youth; and I know that some of the controls are very... controller constrained; there have been some genre refinements over the decades, but the game itself stands head and shoulders over more recent games that have the advantage of hindsight and yet somehow refuse to avail themselves of it. Yes, for any given part of the game, there's a modern game that probably plays better than this one... but a tactical / strategic RPG has a lot of systems that need to come together, and I would say nothing really has the across the board excellence that FFT does, even today. But, suppose, for a moment, you disagree. Fair, there's certainly a reasonable argument for modern X-COM 2 to be, on the whole, a better game. As a child, I followed the plot well enough, but as an adult now replaying it, let me just tell you how absolutely gobsmacked I am by the writing. Gaffgarion dropping some truth bombs about the way the world works, and having seen how executives in the real world REALLY talk behind closed doors... 20/10. Nothing compares. A hundred other games have tried to say what the writing here just absolutely knocks banger after banger out the door once you're in the main story (the prologue has, SPOILERS, some misdirection to set the story up) Do yourself a favor, give the nuances of what was designed to be played on a control a little generosity (it has a KBM scheme, it is quite good, but it was retrofitted on a control game in a remaster, so... be kind), and give this absolute diamond a run through.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best FR #78, worst JP #95 · 9 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.67/day in the week to Aug 5 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

예전에 학창시절에 느꼈던 택틱스의 근본을 다시 한 느낌입니다. 재밌게 했습니다. 등장인물은 귀엽지만 전혀 귀엽지 않은 진중한 스토리도 좋네요~
Loved it as a kid, and I love it now.
aquired but amazing taste. you can be consumed by this game, or take a tourist attitude and play it for the story alone. either way, 100% worth your time and money. it's has incredible deep mechanics that must be utilised at higher difficulties. but can easily be ignored at lower difficulties. feel like i should add, this isn't nostalgia talking. i never played the orginal the first tactical rpg i ever played was tactics ogre reborn last year.
They did an amazing job capturing the original game. There are some QoL changes which I think really help for those that have never played, as the original game was majorly lacking in in-game explanation (likely due to the game's book having all the relevant information). The only downside to the game ultimately isn't anything about the remake, even the original had this issue. They speak in tongues a lot of the time, I'm not sure if it's part the translation, or them trying to be true to medievil times. It's hard to keep track of the dialog in some scenes.
Still legendary. The way it held up and was remastered with such great QoL detail and care, it is one of THE games top 3 that I could think of over the years and wish it could get some modern love and a new release. A lot of things get shelved to never see the light of day beyond emulation. Would recommend to anyone new to the genre or familiar, the tactician mode was another welcome addition that made the adventure just so easy and fun to dive back in as a returning player. Great bones and mechanics here, would love to see more. Could be in this 2.5 style or even more modernized; attached or a new story, place or time all together. With the ofc the big ask being some coop or pvp. Will certainly be checking out the NG+ soon, a sincere thank you to all of those involved from the past and present truly.
I'm pretty bad at this game but I'm still having fun.
i have loved this game since 1997 and will always come back to it. training your group to unlock new Classes and skills have been the games i love the most! anyone that enjoys top-down view of the map and moving your units to advance your strategies this is the game for you!
