Reviews
Didn't work for me - like the turn based aspect of the game (bit too chopped out / not as fluid), but still very enjoyable. However, force-feeding me this overly complicated world-map / army-clash / empire management part in one game is just not working for me. I love Wartales & Battle Brothers way more.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Me dieron ganas de jugarlo entero otra vez al verlo en oferta
I think the Expeditions series is one of my all-time favorite RPG franchises to date. Each game has a unique setting that you can't find anywhere else in the market today. Although the story satisfied me, I will admit that some of the elements of the game took an inordinate amount of time to complete and it was fairly frustrating to slog through some of these parts, but with a great investment in the story presented, it was rewarding to stick it out to the end.
Expeditions: Rome completely drew me in. I have already finished the game once and I will definitely play it again, but in a completely different way. That alone says a lot about its depth. The story is gripping from start to finish. Every decision carries weight, and even the “best” choices come with consequences. At times, it becomes genuinely challenging to stay aligned with your own moral compass and that’s exactly what makes it so powerful. The world feels crafted with care and attention to detail. Each environment has its own atmosphere, and the historical tone remains grounded and immersive. The combat system is intense and highly strategic. You can’t simply rush through encounters, you must think tactically and plan carefully. I especially appreciated that the abilities feel authentic and historically grounded, without unnecessary fantasy elements or magic. The strategic layer on the world map is engaging as well, although I personally feel the larger battles could be refined further. Overall, this game left a lasting impression on me. It’s rare to find a title that balances story, consequence, strategy, and character relationships this well. I sincerely hope we will see an Expeditions: Rome 2 someday. Thank you to the developers for creating such an outstanding experience.
Well made game, great setting, fun combat system, etc etc... But the economy system is a deal breaker, I didn't follow the story line to establish a base first, and after hours of exploration and quest, I found myself unable to make any money to buy s****, and I can't keep it up searching because the loot can barely cover rations, plus the random encounter that will set you back hours. So like Cato the Younger, I can't think of anything to help with my save except off itself.
Mish mash of shallow mechanics and woke.
It was a fantastic game, I've really enjoyed it!
Would have been a good game, but it is ruined by poor game mechanic choices. If you like CRPG's that force you to play a certain way then this is for you.
A more linear Divinity Original Sin in Rome. An alternative timeline playing "as" Julius Caesar.
