Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 2 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Note : ★★☆☆☆

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 18: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It's pretty good, though it lacks an inexplicable, intangible sense of "soul" that the great games of this genre have. It works, it has all the features as advertised, but the lack of polish, attention to details and depth prevents it from being great. Think "The Movies", from back in the day, as an example of the game with soul. One thing to improve for sure is the better distinction between geniuses. Apart from the design of the sanctum and big weapon you build, the gameplay between them is identical. No point of beating the game twice, let alone four times. Though considering this is Rebellion's first break from Sniper Elite series, I say they did a great job here.
Nice good game but especially endgame is so much of artifical grind and waiting which all is necessary to progress, later this is without any excitement, i was really patient to finish it but it wasnt worth really anymore time. I would rate it neutral but I wont play it again, I will try sometime later Evil Genius 1 instead because it might be better option, Still game isnt bad so if I must choose between yes or no i still recommend but i had hoped it would be better.
The Good: great graphics and performance. Research is faster than the first game, The Bad: dumbed down to cater to a younger audience as compared to the first one. In doing so, lost the humor, 50's-90's movie references are just bad now, and gone are the polished mechanics and non-repetitive gameplay of the first. traps barely work and are far less fun to use and link together than the first game. loot is now completely uninteresting. and the silly cutscenes? why? overall, the game performs better than the first, but is far more repetitive and lacks the soul the first one had.
Played for 7h, and it feels like I'm still in the tutorial. I'm ok with an introduction, but so many things going on that there's still new things to understand at 7h in... Feels like this game should let go of my hand by now. Maybe just not for me.
This was one of my fav games growing up (the first one) and now i got a game breaking bug plus a full blown retarded side story bug. This is my first official review of a game and they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ THIS UP SO BAD I IMPLORE ANYONE DONT GIVE THESE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ A DIME scratch that a PENNY.
The game was fun to a certain extent, but it´s important to say that I did not play the original Evil Genius 1. If you can get the complete Game for about 20 dollars with all DLC then it is worth the money for about 10 - 20 hours. BUT if you pay anything above that it´s just not equal in value what the Game gives you back. I would somewhat recommend to try the game if you like Dungeon Keeper 1, but I completely understand if Evil Genius 2 is just not for you as it feels very bare bones even with all DLC bought and enabled. Considering updates stopped a couple years ago, the current state is all you will ever get. It´s not a Dungeon Keeper 1 whatsoever, it´s more like the Disney implementation of being "Evil". 2 / 4 Stars rating from me, it´s just "OK" nothing more nothing less.
