Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 2 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game was fun to a certain extent, but it´s important to say that I did not play the original Evil Genius 1. If you can get the complete Game for about 20 dollars with all DLC then it is worth the money for about 10 - 20 hours. BUT if you pay anything above that it´s just not equal in value what the Game gives you back. I would somewhat recommend to try the game if you like Dungeon Keeper 1, but I completely understand if Evil Genius 2 is just not for you as it feels very bare bones even with all DLC bought and enabled. Considering updates stopped a couple years ago, the current state is all you will ever get. It´s not a Dungeon Keeper 1 whatsoever, it´s more like the Disney implementation of being "Evil". 2 / 4 Stars rating from me, it´s just "OK" nothing more nothing less.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 18: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This was one of my fav games growing up (the first one) and now i got a game breaking bug plus a full blown retarded side story bug. This is my first official review of a game and they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ THIS UP SO BAD I IMPLORE ANYONE DONT GIVE THESE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ A DIME scratch that a PENNY.
actually pretty fun! some of the voice acting feels like they pulled in random devs and gave them zero voice direction, but generally the vibe is there, the game is decently fun, and the music is great if you have the oceans dlc thing, one major criticism is that the temperature mechanic follows you into all other locations, and having to place air conditioning boxes everywhere is really ugly and annoying. also, the game can be painfully slow to progress since research itself is very slow. i'm also actually very impressed with how reliable the room construction system is! this is something that 99% of other games completely ♥♥♥♥ themselves and die on, including evil genius 1. in other games, if _anything_ isn't where it _must_ be at this precise moment, the entire construction process will gridlock. units in other games will happily trap themselves in a room and die rather than ensuring they have a way out. (shoutout to an old playthrough of evil genius 1 where my armory was colonized by an immovable cube on the floor. wanna demolish the armory? gotta move the cube. can't move the cube boss. cube is sacred.) this game's building system manages to let you freely swap between designing different room types, at the same time, in completely different parts of the map. items can be moved, while the game is un-paused and those items are actively being used, and they'll continue to be usable until you finally commit to the new building plan! you can de-construct rooms by filling them in with dirt and your units won't bury themselves, or others! there's an undo/redo system! the game warns you if you're going to go over-budget on money or power consumption! i shouldn't be so excited about that, lol, but it's rare to see such a complex system work so cleanly. very well done! back when this game had just released, i found it to be decent. not great, but fun enough. coming back, i ended up playing it for most of the day and enjoyed it a lot! i don't know if my expectations are lower, or what, but it felt pretty good! the game does have its flaws. slow pacing, bad voice acting, and other design quirks that you'll probably find stupid or poorly balanced. (why on earth can a camera not see through a laser door?) but i could look past all that and still have fun! and it feels cool to hit the alarm button and watch the entire base just ACTIVATE. KILL ALL INTRUDERS. DEFEND THE ISLAND. that feels pretty sick (also, the aperture science DLC was surprisingly close to realizing a game idea i once had after playing portal 2, which was personally really fun to see realized! the side story for that DLC is a bit long, teaching in excruciating detail every possible way of using the few new traps, only to then limit those traps to only being placeable in the portal rooms. which is... a choice, alright?? i would argue it's the worst choice? but ok, fine. it just means some of my corridors are now aperture science themed, lol) on a more negative note, the most evil person in evil genius 2 is the developer(s) that decided to put missable quests and content in a game that will take double digits of hours to finish a playthrough in. it gives you a vague warning that progressing the main story past a certain point "may result in lost side story opportunities". but what it doesn't warn you about is that certain side stories, done in the wrong order, will also result in lost side story opportunities. some missable side stories will only appear if you fulfil hidden requirements, so without a guide, you won't know until later if you missed out on something interesting. and you won't know until the end whether you managed to earn the two most cruel achievements: get all the loot in one playthrough, and recruit all henchmen in one playthrough. hey, if you worked on this game, and you read this... don't ever do that to your players again, okay? that's a really cruel thing to ask people to do. don't make your players scared of progressing the main story because you decided to make things missable in a 20+ hour game. don't make your players sit through hours and hours of slow side quest progression because the sunk cost of _trying_ for the achievement will sting too hard to give up on. they will absolutely not forget the slog that you put them through. and when the game is over, whether they got the achievements or not, they will only remember it as a thoroughly negative experience of spending tens of hours wondering if they missed something, or if the game bugged out at any random point. i recommend anyone going for 100% just finds someone's completed save file and use that, because it's truly not worth your time. is it cheating? sure! is the game worth that much of your time and energy? hell no! it's fun, but it's definitely not THAT fun. i cast stubbed toe on whoever decided to design it like this.
English: Evil Genius 2: World Domination is a well-crafted niche base-building game. While it shares similarities with other titles in the genre, it stands out with its unique gameplay and distinctive style. The humorous tone and the fantasy of being the villain are handled exceptionally well. Its story is surprisingly detailed and engaging, offering more than just the standard base-building experience. It delivers a character driven and vibrant narrative. A refreshing and enjoyable title that fans of the genre should definitely check out.
Feels like a soulless mobile game. Go back to first game if you want the real evil genius experience.
I found this more annoying and tedious than engaging. Maybe it becomes more bearable later on, but my patience ran out after about 90 minutes.
You're better off just playing the original EG.
thumbs down, denuvo
I'm actually split between recommending this game or not. On one side, it's a beautifully stylized experience that addresses many issues its predecessor had, while manages to retain the spark what the old game had. However, on the other side sits an incredibly clunky UI experience that I strongly believe needs some serious work. Often used options are buried under multiple click menus, with slow responding animations. The camera is slow and also not sufficiently responsive and the mouse needs some acceleration too. The experience feels more sterile now that is modernized. Workers work with their big "guns" on pretty much anything. No body-bags, freezer or dynamite. It's faster, cleaner, but with that, you lose a lot of the charm. The experience to fight a little against the game, to figure out the best approach and not be flooded with body bags or some other issues. The simulation is too good to its own detriment. But on the flip side, it's as enjoyable to build your evil layer as I remember it from the old game. In the end, it's not perfect. It could be much better, and i hope the devs have the opportunity to improve it.
