Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 10 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

There is so much wrong with this game, but the writing takes the cake. You could ask ChatGPT for a better story. Genuinely one of the most unenjoyable games I've had the displeasure of beating. There are so many vague objectives that give you almost no direction, so many annoying dungeons you're forced to backtrack through just to recruit one character, and way too many fights that just aren't fun. The inventory system is absolutely atrocious. There are around 227 chests in the game, but you'll probably open about 20 before your inventory is full for the majority of the playthrough. It completely killed any sense of exploration I had because item management became such a chore. My biggest problem, though, is Marisa. This game should've been called *Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Times Marisa Invaded Your Party With Her Entire Squad*. There are so many points where the game forces you to use Marisa and her whole group for an entire dungeon. She's honestly one of the weaker characters, and the people she's usually paired with aren't much better. It's painfully obvious that a lot of her story was cut, but I honestly wish they had just committed to it and removed it altogether. She feels so oddly disconnected from the other two protagonists that I genuinely couldn't bring myself to care. I'm a huge fan of Suikoden. I've replayed 1, 2, and Tierkreis more times than I can count. This game feels like it learned nothing from that series. It understands the broad idea of what made Suikoden special, but completely misses the execution. If you're wondering whether to buy this or the Suikoden collection, buy the Suikoden collection. This game won't make you feel like you're playing Suikoden. It'll just make you wish you were.

The character dialogue is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad.....please don't hire woke gen z idiots to do your writing. Apparently they had to remove the political slop, but its still so bad. I started skipping entire scenes because things that could be said in 2 or 3 lines started taking 10 minutes to get through. I can forgive a messy story, but the entire thing doesn't make any sense. The big bad guy just exists because they needed an evil bad guy. Speaking of which, the one actual guy who would have worked was an evil lich, Markus. Just some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lich with undead minions shows up and now I'm all of a sudden helping him.... I should be putting him AND his arch nemesis into the grave like Viktor and that vampire ♥♥♥♥....THEN take his undead army as an option to add to my own. No, they could have spun that into a great side quest/story and instead its just "I'm the good undead guy! I'm just misunderstood! The bad undead guy took my castle! We're friends now! We put 100 hereos in the title and need to pad it!" That is just the tip of the ice berg. The early game characters you start with are blatant rip offs or people you want to strangle. That being said, the characters matter little, due to the rune system there is no real difference. Only a handful of them, maybe 15, make an actual difference to your party. A bunch of them have main character syndrome, especially the 3rd wheel Marissa. Seign and Nowa are alright and make sense, but this ♥♥♥♥ just gets hamfisted into the story. The combat is just slow.....and I honest to god can't understand how that happened, even Suikoden 1 had multiple characters acting at once. This? No. Its actually worse. The "war" system is pretty bad, there is little customization - you select from presets and a lot of it is locked. I'm at the last segment of the game, the last fight I had wouldn't let me select captains, groups, etc. Exploring was ok...until you hit these invisible walls...literally. They wanted to reuse some areas for hunting and resources. That is fine, understandable and makes sense to a point.....but their way of gating that is to just put a soldier there to tell you that you can't go any further until they finish scouting....there's a big bad monsters around. I wish I was kidding. They went from reasonable things like clearing an avalanche to just "Nah bruh, you can't go that way." I would have rather gotten my ass kicked and learned the further you go in the stronger the monster sets are. = You can tell where the passion started, the DEI slop got introduced, then patched over, then became a mess that looks like it was designed by committee. If Mediocre was a game, this would be it. $60 is an absolute joke to ask for, I honestly feel robbed at $20.
Needs a x2 , x3 speed key. Would shave off 70% of the time spent playing the game, making it far more enjoyable.
Solid JRPG. The core gameplay is fun but some systems seem balanced around playing in harder difficulties. Most hero combos aren't worth using unless they hit 3 or more enemies and half the magic feels too expensive to be useful. You're given extra party slots for main characters to accompany your actual fighting team when the plot demands it. Occasionally you're saddled with too many to use your own team and other times you can't use who you want. Both cases are rare but frustrating when they happen. Hero recruitment and sidequests are fun. The heroes are pretty imbalanced though, so enjoy looking for what works best for you. The base building is a nice underlying system to keep you interested in an extra aspect of the game. The minigames leave a lot to be desired. This game has fast travel.
5/10 game. If only Steam has a "neutral" button in the review option. Pros: - Gorgeous, nostalgic 2.5D visuals with beautiful scenery. - Outstanding soundtrack, especially the incredibly epic and heroic theme song "Flags of Brave". Cons: - Boring story, boring characters. - Bad English translation. - A lot of bugs that freeze the game or stall dialogues, forcing you to restart or wait forever (especially late-game and in the Marisa DLC). - Horrible optimization on Steam Deck. - Soul-crushing, grindy achievement system that completely kills the fun. - Steam achievement trackers for this game is bugged too. - Plenty of minigames, but they feel totally hollow and meaningless. - Massive but shallow cast; characters lack depth and I can't even remember half of their names, not mention their backstories. - Painfully slow pacing, from unskippable-feeling dialogues to sluggish movement. - Flawed and unreliable auto-save system. - Annoying text-box shaking effects when characters shout that literally make me dizzy every single time. Conclusion: While the prequel Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising set a high bar, the main game is a huge disappointment; only grab this one when it hits a heavy 75% discount. This game isn't worth the full price.

[DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A DETAILED REVIEW] I am a fan of Suikoden 1 and 2, where I love the story and exploration aspects of the game. Because this game carries the hype of Suikoden, the expectations of Suikoden are also carried over to this game, especially in terms of story and exploration. Here's why: - First, about the characters. The idea of introducing three heroes in the story is quite impressive, and the dramatic effect, especially at the ending, is quite noticeable. However, something feels off to me. Having previously enjoyed the relationship between Riou and Nanami in Suikoden 2, I somehow had the same expectations for Noa and Leene. Instead, there isn't much story coverage between them. Leene and Marisa's relationship is even stronger. I mean... how come? I encourage the deepening of this sibling relationship, whether in DLC or something similar. The relationship between the three main characters also feels bland, to be honest, because only Noa and Seign (which reminded me of Riou and Jowy) seem close, but Marisa feels like she's just a complement with her own story. C'mon, aren't you curious about what Marisa's relationship with Noa and Seign will be like in the future? As for the stories of the other characters, unfortunately, they are not fully revealed. Aside the relationship of Noa and Leene, how is Mellore connected to all the characters from Eiyuden Rising? And, it'd actually be interesting if we could explore Galladur's story, instead of having to find out through B'baba. Unfortunately, the Marisa DLC doesn't explain it in more detail. We're not going back to the mechanics and limitations of Suikoden 2 from decades ago; we're talking about today's open world games that have many story slots that deserve to be explored further. Unfortunately, the developers seem satisfied with the main story and nothing more. (Sorry, R&B Studios) I don't know if these characters will be explored more deeply in Eiyuden 2, but how much can we expect? - Second, the mechanics. I'm a fan of open world games that value accessibility. Unfortunately, there isn't much to explore in the large cities in Eiyuden Chronicles: they feel empty. I enjoyed the dynamic Suikoden 2, where new people or new residents would appear in cities/rooms after major event, bringing different stories. Unfortunately, nothing changes in this game. We cannot freely explore the regions around Yarnaan (which seems to have a prepared path south towards the Proving Grounds) and Ardinale City. The delta area north of Hishahn seems completely wasted, left empty. The same goes for the southwestern part of the map, behind the mountains, south of Athrabalt, which is also left empty. Don't you have the Kenani people? Why not add a Kenani Region? Plus the elven territory. We all curious about the secret room on the third floor inside headquarter, and Carles University, where? Plus the hidden Beigoma laboratory inside Gardhaven Castle? Even after winning all of those tiring battles, the prize is ... still a Beigoma? - Third, regarding the story. I, who had been swept up in the hype for Suikoden from the start, hoped that the plot would be sufficiently mature. Instead, I only encountered a series of “wow” moments that felt empty. There was no sense of loss, even though there was a story path where Perielle could be sacrificed, but it still felt hollow. Childish writing, in my opinion. It doesn't hold a candle to Suikoden 2, or even the far more tragic Suikoden 1. Actually, if it weren't for the hype surrounding Suikoden, I wouldn't have expected much from this game. But because Eiyuden has carried the Suikoden name from the start, I was forced to hope and intend to reminisce about the same feelings. But what can I do? I hope the development team can evaluate and improve in the next Eiyuden series.
Procedo a hacer mi reseña libre de spoilers.
· Positivo:
Bought the game on discount as per review at the time. This game is well designed...the graphics...the atmosphere....the well thought level design with great explorations. Not to mention the combat mechanic which requires proper strategic plannings of good combinations of synergies between the heroes. Well, I'm just lying, none of it is in this game. This game sucks.
